  1. Shuffling Team

First RMT. Pretty solid team right now, for the currently unstable metagame, in my opinion. The Team: In Depth: I've been wanting to try my hand at a shuffling, stall-ish team for a while now, but never got around to it, until I noticed the new move Dragon Tail on Gyarados. I had already...
  2. What aren't we writing about? (Pokemon unfit for OU Analyses)

Not to pry too much on the topic, but Weezing also has Stockpile, to change some of those 2HKOs into 3HKOs and 3HKOs into 4HKOs. And Clear Smog only removes the opponent's boosts. I'm not saying it's completely viable for OU, but it does have better options than what Delta 2777 mentioned.
  3. Vexxing, isn't it?

I'm pretty sure that's an HP Fire on the Latios you've been facing, in order to take care of Nattorei, which isn't on concern list for 4th Gen builds, obviously. I thought your warstory and commentary was great.
  4. Flygon

I would argue that Flygon has better resistances though, immunity to Electric and resistance to Rock is very useful. The neutrality to Water bites a little, but the Grass neutrality is really of no consequence. Plus, Salamence has a nearly useless secondary STAB.
  5. Flygon

Bumping this thread to confirm that Flygon does have its niche, Dragon Tail phazing. Name: Phazer Flygon @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP, 4 Atk, 252 Spe Nature: Jolly - Sleep Talk - Rest - Dragon Tail - Earthquake I've tried this set out in a few matches, and it works pretty well...
  6. Murkrow (Analysis)

Too bad Whirlwind isn't pushed up to a +1. That would be really broken though.
  7. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 1 - ...wait, I'm not Jumpman16!

That's the point. Inconsistent isn't in anyone's control. The game becomes luck based instead of skill based. It's really not the same as Acupressure, if you've actually played against both, because Acupressure takes a move to make, and only boosts one stage at a time.
  8. Moody

While you're foresighting, the opponent can attack, gather more boosts, sub, anything really. It's sort of useless if you foresight a sub and you're killed two turns later. They can Protect your foresight, sub the next one, protect, start attacking, whatever. If you actually try to apply these...
  9. Moody

    And because foresight just sucks.
  10. Moody

Did you read the thread? Most of these things are very situational counters, like perfect accuracy moves. Few pokemon have aura sphere, and moves like shock wave are virtually useless in competitive battling because they're so weak, unless you're using a technician aerial ace. Using Haze is...
  11. Moody

Suicune used Roar! Suicune's attack missed! Suicune used Roar! Suicune's attack missed! Suicune used Roar! Suicune's attack missed! Suicune used Roar! Suicune's attack missed! With +1 or +2 evasion, you have a chance of stopping them, but once your opponent gets to +4 or so, you have...
  12. Cloyster

I'm pretty sure that nearly all Garchomps are Jolly, so you should fix the speed on the shell break so you can outrun Jolly ScarfChomps
  13. hate you nattorei... long standard OU warstory

    Very nice match.
  14. Kyurem

Would a mixed set with a Haban Berry work in Ubers? Obviously, Kyurem is still murdered by things like Metagross and Tyranitar, but it could take down Rayquaza or Garchomp.
  15. Skarmory

That's easily remedied with a shed shell. And Skarmory is an amazing counter for Doryuuzu, Ononokus, and a slew of other physical threats, new and old. It's not going away anytime soon.
  16. The 5th Gen Gimmick Team: Assist + Dragon Tail

this is damn annoying. i almost beat it with a wobbuffet as my last pokemon though.
  17. R.I.P. Leads and Scouting

I'm not really liking this change if it's going to be implemented on shoddy. Trying to predict an opponent's pokemon based on the rest of his team and formulating an endgame strategy with unknown pokemon was part of the fun.
