Honestly, I think he's referring to Pokecheck, and not the official hack checker. It really seemed like it the way he was talking there. Pokecheck does give warning messages like that.

When counting steps for frame advancing (128 steps for Z frames), does turning on the same spot count as a step?

Warstories are meant to archive the metagame and show good play. I didn't even read the whole thing, but I can tell it ended in extreme luck. That doesn't make a good warstory most of the time.

It would be better to just run multiple battles. You shouldn't ban weather and weather inducing pokemon just for convenience, since it wouldn't carry over in real 1 V 1, and you could just start a second battle.

This applies due to RNG mechanics in the game. You might note that only Pokemon that cannot be hatched from an egg get this message. The whole reason behind it is that the RNG cannot actually spit out that Nature and IV combination for a wild Pokemon, as such, they aren't actually legal...
