The Fire Type in Little Cup

An opposing team's Tangela can come in and revenge kill Numel even if it impossibly managed to get 2 speed boosts. Like Briyella said above, you are never going to set up rocks, sun, growth, AND 2 flame charges on Numel. Is your opponent attacking you with tackle? Also Mantyke shouldn't switch...

Resource ORAS OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers (Read the OP First!)

I believe you can now heartscale any move the Pokemon actually learned previously; this includes egg moves and moves from pre-evolutions. Edit: Guess not.

    Freed Pokemon

Snubbull's new typing and intimidate allows it to check Sneasel. Only facing around a 3 or 4hko with fully invested hp/defense.

    Kangaskhan

Kanghaskan is very predictable but even given that; he is still a pain to deal with because he learns just the right moves for it(Fake out/sucker punch). Over Wi-fi players love to use his with Klefki or Meowstic support. Very few run protect on it so double targetting it is a must if you can...

    Item Assault Vest

Alakazam is almost never switching into another pokemon. He's far too frail and that is way too risky for him.

    Pokémon Talonflame

Really? Gems were absurdly overpowered. It allowed draco meteor spam which completely centralized the doubles meta. Flying gem acrobatics was another super powered move that dented anything that didn't resist it.

    Pokémon Manectric

Mega Manectric also has a nice niche for being able to counterkill any talonflames either by outspeeding or taking a hit while at full hp. He can also work as a "support" pokemon in doubles with access to snarl along with intimidate. Use him along a bulky pokemon that appreciates an extra turn...

Dragons in the Fairy Meta (peaked #2) STOP BUMPING THIS THREAD

Looks like a solid team. As uncommon as he is, Cloyster outspeeds and threatens most of your team outside of trick room. Though Politoed deals with him pretty easily bar a gimmicky king's rock set. Ampharos has an amazing typing and movepool to deal with the usual counters of dragons and your...

Wide / Quick Guard: New Mechanics

You're completely overvaluing Talonflame as a threat. His pitiful attack makes him easily walled by resists and intimidate users, e.g., Gyarados, Tyranitar, Mega Ampharos, Heatran(after pokebank), Arcanine, and Rotom-w. Most of these pokemon will already find themselves on a team and...

    Pokémon Manectric

Good set, just two things I wanted to mention. You can get HP Ice with 31 speed ivs; I have one currently in game. Also Garchomp outspeeds you outside of mega form but it's unlikely to be an issue...

Doubles XY Metagame Speculation (obviously spoilers)

Meowstic (M) definitely has potential in doubles thanks to prankster dual screens and the excess amount of support moves he can learn. Are Klefkis really investing 252 evs into speed? You could choose a defensive nature but I guess the extra bulk from calm/bold nature won't make much of a...

    Trevenant

Heatran (when available) benefits more than any other steel type from grass typing since it is already immune to fire. Ground becomes 2x effective, water is now neutral. It only loses a flying resist which is not that meaningful. Heatran has always synergized well with grass/psychic and...

    Move Trick Room

People always forget about doubles it seems. It's only the official Nintendo format... Blastoise gets access to water spout as well which is why I'm using him over Clawitzer otherwise Clawitzer does more damage with life orb to a single target. So basically it comes down to if you want your...

    Battle Mechanics Research

Not sure if this has been mentioned but dark-type pokemon shake at the beginning of battle if the enemy pokemon has a super-effective move against it sort of like Anticipation. I noticed this with my Sneasel and Greninja.

    Did you like High School?

I enjoyed high school. Made some great friends and had some great teachers. I miss how easy it was in comparison to college. I don't think I would want to revisit but I will miss those 4 years.
