Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

One of the main problems I'm having. The seeds to find section. When I enter the initial seed and a list comes up at the top. There are a bunch of picks for date 2009 09 21 with the delay 614. I'm not sure which one should be picked.

Ok, your post makes no sense. Seeds to time?

If that is the case, those are the dates and times that allow you to hit that seed. All of them are correct. Normally, people try to get one where the seconds equal the seconds you calibrated (14).

Yeah I meant seeds to time lol. Well there was only one with a second of 14. I even tried 15 and 13 and they didn't match with the flips I recorded. I don't know what would be off on my ds since it's all set right. I guess I keep trying.

@ dance soldier
It is not the shiny I am having problems with. i just want to hatch an adamant scyther with good ivs or just an adamant one so I can SR for them. Does that technique work for the natures as well?

Straight from the OP

NOTE: You may notice that there an option for "DPP Egg PID (International)" under the item that you are selecting. If you are breeding Pokémon of games that are in two different langues (such as a US Ditto with a Japanese Skitty) you should select this option. One foolproof way to test if two Pokémon are considered international is to attempt to breed them while the appropriate parent is holding an Everstone. If the Everstone does not work then you have international parents.

It alters the PID for the eggs, therefore the nature, gender, more.

Now, by everstone not working...what does that mean? Like pass down the nature? I bred the ditto and scizor for like 12 eggs and I neevr got an adamant baby.

Well, if this ditto is adamant and holding the everstone, then chances are one of your parents is international. Ordinarily, it would pass the nature after 12 attempts.

ok well the scizor is hacked from my friend so I would like to think its from here... when I bred it for a RNG shiny it worked on normal egg dppt though.

Dabears, am I doing something wrong for my initial breeding for nature? I have been following your videos by heart and I still can't get the nature right T_T

PS: Sorry about Walnut...my guinea pig died two weeks ago. Her name was Princess Patches.

Must I use a synchronizer to catch giratina in the torn world?

Since yesterday (without a sychronizer), I keep SRing to find out what is the frame of the giratina in the torn world. Strangely, I keep getting a random starting frame like 13, 20, 57,87.(O_o)

I "save state" my game after I hit my delay, and then advance the frame through journal flips, but since my starting frame is so random, I think it's pointless to keep SRing. (I SRed about 10 times and I still never hit the frame)

EDIT: I think I've solved my problem. The problem is, I didn't use sychronizer and because of that, the starting frame becomes so random. >_<

Btw, is it really true that without using a synchronizer, our frame will become random??

The Encounter Frame for Giratina in the Torn World is 12.
So if you dislike that "Big-O" Frame ;D you can catch the same Giratina
in its normal Dungeon where the Encounter Frame should be 1.So try it there

And your First Frame in the Torn World "13" was right so I assume that was
without Journal Flipping.

A synchronizer just shortens the Period between the Frames that make
the desired Target same Nature as the Synchronizer. So I don't know
for sure if the synchronizer works in the Torn World. You just have to
look up the IV Spreads that the RNG Reporter gives you and you'll
know what you hit.

without journal flipping, I also got frame 20 on my 2nd try, 57 on my 3rd try, and 87 on my 4th try. (note: I like my giratina to be caught in the torn world XD)

Giratina is method J, but the Seed Finder looks for method 1 spreads. If you use the Seed Finder, then generate a list of method J spreads, you should be able to find it on the right frame.

Hi,gyus.Im new to the Rng and i think that i understand 95% of it.But Max frames trouble me a little. Are they supposed to be calculated somehow or shall i just leave it 1000(by default). Also is 594 a valid delay? Please help.
I was trying to abuse heatran in Plat.

Need some help if I'm attempting to capture a Rotom.

1. Is the room I catch Rotom in considered to be a cave so each step/turn advances the frame by one?

2. If my target frame was 30, I should flip 10 times? To get frame 20, walk around 9 steps/turns then talk to the TV. Is this correct? O_o

New page and because it was unanswered =[

594 is a little below the average. I think the average is around 605 or so. What were your seconds?

On a side note: Apparently the hacked scizor made it international because it works now. I traded it back to my friend and I am currently breeding for a 31 IV tyranitar.

1: Yes.
2: The thing is, it's easy to mess up your frame advancement if you're walking and turning around. What I'd do is save with your back facing the television, reset and hit your delay, flip 14 times to get 28, face the T.V. for another +1, and then 'talk' to the T.V. Either way will work fine, though.

For a Platinum delay, 594 is fine. Max Frames simply indicate the maximum number of frames RNG Reporter will search through, so you don't have to worry about that really, just leave it at the default value.

It may seem like you hit those frames, but unless you advanced the frame somehow (by walking steps, for example; you really just want to save right in front of Giratina's face), you should be hitting 12. The same IV spread you got might appear in those frames you mentioned, because you're using a synchronizer, but you should be looking at what IVs you found and see if it matches the frame 12 spot. If you find that it still doesn't match frame 12, I'd suggest you move the synchronizer to the back of the party, and try to hit a Method J spread that doesn't use a synchronizing nature.

When I was resetting for Giratina in the Torn World, I noticed that just opening the Journal for the first time (not flipping) advances the frame by another 11, so Giratina essentially has a Monster Frame of 23 in the Torn World if you're planning to use Journal flips to advance the frame.

Are the dogs in HG/SS method K? Is there a new reporter for that yet?

Also, whats this "Radio trick" I keep hearing about?

Raikou and entei are method 1, so you can abuse them right now. Just some trys, and if you fail, adjust to fix what you messed up.

Radio is just another way to advance, the only problem is it changes based on the day and time the number of advancements. So, people will literally have to document every time and day and # of advances.

Talking to your pokemon will end up being easier to document and how each action advances.

Does anyone know why Wichu's program won't work for me? <- First time i'm using it
I downloaded it.
I entered everything in Caps
I put 0 for the Ivs so it's great than.
After it searches, it just says done and is ready to process the next spread, but...

I check my folder where Wichu's program is in, I see one spreadsheet and one notepad file. I open both nothing.
I am searching for a shiny spread and yes my ID and SID are correct, I eneter mininum Ev's, all 1 (Yeah I know 0 is lowest) but I still don't get any spreads? =/

What results you get depend on the values you entered for the program's parameters. It's possible that what you're looking for doesn't exist, due to your ID/SID combination.

For average minimum IV I always use zero. When it says start search at and end search at, you should also put in zero. The value for maximum delay should also be a high number (I use 18000 without any problems.).

For the IV range, maybe you should use lower values, and try different natures. If those tips still don't work, you're out of luck.
