It was a toss up between any of the names i've already mentioned: MagicaLeaf, IWantWish!, Paradox808, etc. Seeing as Paradox808 actually kinda doesn't mean anything to them (they're not on smogon), it seemed the least silly. If i'd given it IWantWish, i'd have to go into a long, boring story. MagicaLeaf would need explanation as to why it wasn't a Roselia. Paradox808 needs no explanation, if anyone asks, it's a paradox, they're not meant to understand it. Hence, that name seemed most appropriate. Be happy it's not a Pachirisu this time. Also, i figured since it was you that forced me not to buy items for a whole game, that a bit of revenge was in order. lol

Thanks for supporting the Renaissance suggestion, though. For that, your Togepi must hold a King's Rock at all times where possible. :)
 
Currently I'm at:

Squirtle- Nicknamed Leonardo. Must solo Lt. Surge as a Wartortle.
First Pokemon I see that I can catch- Nicknamed Michel. Must be second-highest level at all times. Must defeat one of Misty's Pokemon.
Drowzee- Nicknamed Donatello. Must learn Poison Gas, then Toxic. In order to evolve, must eat 4 Calciums and 1 Zinc, so it can be extra smart and strong.
Next 3 Pokemon: Raphael, Splinter, Shredder, April (based on gender).

This'll be fun.
 
@Dummy007, take a Rattata named Splinter. Once it evolves, it can't learn level-up moves. Also, once you get the Quick Claw in the Safari Zone, Splinter must hold it forever. Because Splinter is a friggin ninja.

Hey that's fair and all, I just felt like giving you a taste of your own medicine. I was gonna give you only electric attack Pachirusu, but you ney sayed that, so I gave you something nigh impossible, like you said again.

However, since you nay sayed that again and took the aformentioned Pachirusu, I think we are at an impass. Like somebody said before, the OP said that this was not meant to be as challenging as the Nuzlocke challenge, but rather fun with a degree of difficulty. Unless somebody says that they want their challenge to be as difficult as can be, some of your challenges have been really unreasonable. However, I am enjoying the Ralts challenge, and thank you for that.

But bare in mind, most people here are looking for something fun to do, not something that cannot nearly be done without going completely insane.
 
Since you can't have duplicates, probably make Treadshot's pick the first non-Rattata wild Pokemon you find.
 
All right. PLEASE let me not find any Pidgeys until I can get a Mankey or Nidoran...

On another note, you get the Quick Claw in the Safari Zone? Where?

oh, and if you want a possible loop hole that can get you a decent chance for a nidoran/mankey, just throw away all your pokeballs that the guy (Oak?) gives you so technically you "can't catch" your pokemon yet until you buy more xD

Um, fine. You'll note most challenges i post now have that disclaimer of sorts, "To make it harder". You guys know the drill when you see those words. Let us speak no more of this, and instead i await to start my challenge (once i get all these maths assignments out of the way. Argh... stupid maths).

And i had to take the Pachirisu, sorry, but it was kinda a choice between doing a slightly easier Voltorb version, or the so called nigh impossible Pachi challenge. Just to prove it is possible, i'm doing it. Think of it as a more furry and cute Voltorb. :) It's just as shocking, i'll say that. And actually looks better than a Voltorb, by a mile. lol

Anyways, wish me luck (preferably good luck) that i don't accidentally screw myself up with a Pachirisu...
 
The reason i wasn't like wtf no, was because i actually prefer regular English, in most cases, lol excepted. Also, part of the reason that i ditched the Voltorb was because it always got in the way during Voltorb Flip. ;)

Anyways, i've finally made it to the entrance of Victory Road (yeah, it took me a day from Sunyshore to VR, sad, i know). Now to hopefully get my Staraptor up a few levels (I sort of need it against Aaron), and also Lorak and November. Still not sure what i'll do with Chimecho and Golbat. Bibarel, i know what i'll do with it: Absolutely nothing. lol
 
Dummy 007 take a Growlithe named Raphael that cannot learn any physical attacks or fire attacks to evolve.

I'm just waiting for someone to take a HARD Scramble challenge (hehe).
 
Note that the only Jynx in FireRed must be from an NPC trade, and since it's a traded Pokemon it can't be nicknamed. So to comply:

Capture a Poliwhirl and trade it for Jynx, and stick with the given nickname, or:
Capture a Poliwhirl and trade it for Jynx, and breed it to get a baby Smoochum, which you can nickname April.

Either way you'll need a Poliwhirl.

can't breed til you get to 4 island, and that's after the E4 :/
 
So, we're getting fairly close to 50 pages and when we do I'd like to set up a sort of "awards" for the thread. The only prizes will be the undying adoration that you receive from the internet recognition. If you think this idea is lame: go fuck yourself. If you think it's worth some of your internet time PM me with nominations, be sure to include what category you are thinking of when nominating.
On page 50 I will post the finalized categories (and winners). Feel free to suggest other categories but please don't nominate yourself for anything.

And now, Team Ninja Squirtle (for FireRed):

1. Squirtle (Sprocket)- Nicknamed Leonardo. Must solo Lt. Surge as a Wartortle.

4. Rattata (Chateau)- Nicknamed Splinter. Cannot learn level-up moves after evolving. After getting Quick Claw in Safari Zone, must hold it forever (because Splinter is a ninja!).
5. Growlithe (Texas Cloverleaf)- Nicknamed Raphael. Cannot know any Fire or physical attacks to evolve.
6. Chansey (zdrup15)- Nicknamed April. Must always know Doubleslap.

I'll post periodically with updates.
 
Well, I just Pandora Boxed Platinum so I might as well do one of these. My rules are no forced battles, like Pidgey has to beat Volkner's Magneton, and Chimchar can't be nicknamed. That's just cause I'm too lazy. Other than that, I'm taking anything right now.

1. Chimchar(must evolve between roark and eterna)(2nd evolve before spear pillar)
2. Elekid(no Tbolt or evolve until level 37)(no electivire)

@imapedarsag, take an Elekid. It cannot evolve until level 37, or you teach it Thunderbolt. It cannot evolve past Electabuzz.

The Chimchar will be the first you see, it must evolve to Monferno between Roark and Eterna Forest, and it must be Infernape by Spear Pillar.

how the heck do you catch elekid again?

EDIT: putting this here too.

1. Chimchar(must evolve between roark and eterna)(2nd evolve before spear pillar)
2. Electabuzz. (no electivire)
3. Starly(does not fight in Gardenia battle)(can't evolve until after Maylene)(no more than 2 stab moves)(must be Staraptor by Byron)
4. Porygon(porygon2-conversion to electric plus magnet rise successfully)(porygonz-magic coat something)
5. Scyther(Isaac-Male Zenna-Female)(Beat 10 Iron Island Pokemon to evolve w/o healing items on First Run)
6. Buizel(Aqua Jet, Agility, Swift, Whirlpool)(evolve at lv. 39)(only remove one of those moves when it evolves)
