Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Advance the frame like you do with sweet scent, just with their frame instead of the -2 for Scenting.

Sorry, but I haven't done Wild Pokemon RNG yet. D:
I'm in front of Lance, I killed Latios (wanting to RNG it) and Entei and Raikou are still roaming. I saved in front of Lance, one step before the auto-walk.

I'm gonna use method 1, right? I already picked out a seed, and has a frame of 42. Does that mean if I hit my seed and advanced exactly 40 frames, walked up and defeated Lance, would Latios spawn with the desired IV's/Natures?

Ugh. I didn't get what Winter's Zombie said a while ago. Now I just got it while reading it again. I have to KO Latios again. D:

Let me try this again. I have a frame of 42, Latios has a frame of 11, so does that mean that I have to advance the frame 42-11 = 31 times?

For perfect wondercard pokemon.

If you need something that is not covered below, you can use the "Capture Time Finder" in RNG Reporter. Search using the directions from "Capturing Perfect Pokémon" using method 1 and then add two to the frame number.

Does this mean I see something in the RNG Reporter with method one on frame 10. So Im actually flipping to hit frame 12?
Im assuming Im starting on frame one for receiving these. Hence odds being easier to hit.

To that end. Is there a way to get it shiny? Or is that a different RNG call I cant control.
And when I do see a good IV spread, whatever nature is specified I can ignore because that's uncontrollable. Correct?

I've been completely out of wifi since summer (since I left the states and lost access to wifi). I still don't have wifi, but want to breed my own BW pokes (as I saw there are some RNG abuses in the DMP thread).

Has RNG Report been updated for BW? Where should I look for info?? (If you would send me some links via VM I will love you forever!!)

Check the RNG Research thread, from this page onwards is BW stuff. Most of the juicy stuff is towards end of the topic. If you want any help with clarifying anything hit me up a PM or VM and I'll try and answer.

When does frame advancement using PokeGear radio start? When you're from the middle then click the lower right button?

From what I have noticed, if you open the Radio on a program that advances the RNG, it will advance it by that amount. So if you last used the bottom right corner and Pokemon Search Party comes up when you switch to the Radio, that will advance by 1. Then, everytime you reset the station and click the bottom right button, the RNG will advance by 1 again.

Thanks for that. Really helpful. Just another question, for example, I saved my game and the radio tuner is at the center, when I press the lower-right button, it will advance my frame by 1 right? Provided that it's Pokemon Search Party or Silver Drama?

Also, how many advances would I make for Latios? I have Raikou and Entei alive. I have a frame of 42.

When advancing with the radio, always start from the middle and end in the middle. Two roamers usually means advancing the frame by 2, but it's sometimes 3.

Yes, that is correct.

Keep in mind you can check your frame at any time using Elm calls. I generally start calling a few before my Target Frame to make sure I'm on track. For example, if you just advanced the frame to 36 by using the Radio, calling Elm will advance it to 37 and you can see if the response matches up with that Frame.

OK, I'm just gonna check, although I can take a guess...

What Method is used for Honey Tree pokes in Platinum... My guess being J.

Thanks for that, again. :] My only problem is that I can't call inside Indigo Plateau. D:

Good luck with them too. :D
I just still don't quite get it on how to advance the frame for each roamer. I have a frame of 42, and I'm trying to go for Latios. How many frame advances should I make, provided that I started with frame 3?

There's a guide on the first page on how to get the species you want to appear in the honey trees. I have tried once so far and messed up, but .com has done it successfully I believe.

How i find my SID and i have never caught a shiny but i have some will those ones work?

The shinies have to be from your game to be able to use them. You'll have to use an AR if not. If you don't have one, I'm sure someone will help you.

for encounter slots, how do i know im going to battle the roght pokemon i want when i sweet scent an area full of different pokemons? for example, if i wanted to catch an abra with a certain spread in route 34, how could i when theres also other pokemon running around?

@Wally
You'll almost certainly need a Syncher.
You right click on the Frame you want (using the correct Method), and click on Calculate Encounter slots. A menu will pop up. Click on The encounter codes link for whichever game you happen to be playing, and then search through the webpage that pops up to find whichever route you're on.
Back on RNG Reporter, it will tell you the Sweet Scent Encounter slot for the frame you're looking on, if it doesn't match up with the Poke you want on that route, then have a look on the next time the same spread occurs (if you're using a Syncher). Otherwise I'm afraid it's no dice.

That's what encounter slots are for. Go the links RNG reporter gives you. (Choose the game you RNG abusing on) Whatever # the encounter slot gives you (sweet scenting in the grass), check and see if it's for Abra on the list.

EDIT: Never mind. Already explained.

Thank you both. I actually looked at it before i saw your replies and figured it out when i saw the chart and the rng framing. Again thank you.

Holy Fucking Shit, ID/SID abusing is so fucking frustrating. That's like....the most frustrating shit I have ever done with Pokemon. Oh My Fucking God.....

But after nearly a week of doing nothing but ID/SID abusing, I finally got the results that I wanted. But Goddamn......

Ok I know I'm supposed to enter the roaming locations of Raikou/Entei/Lati@s upon save somewhere in RNG Reporter seed to time finder, but where. Like, how would I fill out the seed to time finder when RNG'ing roamers.

Thanks in advance!

Next to the word Map under where you enter the seed, there are 3 checkboxes and textboxes.

R = Raikou, E = Entei, L = Latios / Latias (depending on game).

Check the checkbox next to those which you have roaming (to the left of each letter), and enter the route they were on when you saved in the corresponding text box (to the right of each letter)

@BAD
It gets easier once you've done it once, so congrats :)
I've only done 3, but after the first one, they've taken about 30 minutes each.

Congratulations! I haven't begun to ID/SID abuse yet, but I imagine it was going to be difficult. I'm hoping to soon, once I get another game cartridge for storage.

When abusing the RNG for the roamers, when do I step forward and battle Lance? Do I stop advancing the RNG with the radio on the frame I want, then step forward, or is it similar to Method K where you stop advancing it a frame before your target? Any help would be nice
