Stoutland

Really, just slap a Life Orb on him and have him pick off/weaken stuff for your haymaker, Doryuuzu. Of course, it's not going to be that simple to do against anyone decent, especially stall, but that's really the best thing he can do ATM. Sand Throw is just way too good for him to bother with anything else.

Keep in mind, however, that if you DO go Dory/Rando, you're doubling up on a Fighting weakness, and by extension, a Roopushin weakness. I don't think Breloom is something you'd want to see either. Better have an awesome Fighting type counter up your sleeve.

Rando? As in Randorosu? If that's the case then you are actually perfectly fine because Landlos resists fighting and has decent bulk.

This guy is very very underrated, I find him very useful and reliable. Here is the moveset i use:

Muurando @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Throw
EVs: 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
~ Retribution (get even)
~ Crunch
~ Fire Fang
~ Ice Fang

He is a great revenge killer in the sand. His best move is Retribution which can usually kill anything that isn't a wall or resist normal type moves. Ice fang is use to outspeed and kill Salamence, Randorosu, Skymin, Garchomp and probably 2KO Dragonite, Gliscor. You can also outspeed and kill a scarf genosect with fire fang. Fire fang is also used to kill scizor, Natorri, Forterress(2KO the last 2). Crunch is used to out speed and kill Starmie, Gengar and Shandera(after SR...). He's also surprisingly bulky.

Get even scrappy looks like an option, but more defensive sets are ruined by lack of sleep talk. My favorite set:

Murrando@Focus Sash
Sand Throw
Adamant 252/252/4
~Odor Sleuth
~Last Resort

Odor Sleuth to hit ghosts, and then Last resort away. Outspeed every non doryuzu with sand throw.

Also this thing gets Surf. Perhaps a Sand throw Choice Scarf revenge killer set with surf to deal with Doryuzuu?

Kangaskhan gets Get Even too, but it could see some use as the "poor man's Kangaskhan" if Muurando ends up in a lower tier than Kangaskhan. That means that Muurando should not base itself on this.

Stoutland@choice band
Ability:sand rush
Nature:Adamant
Ev spread:252 attack, 252 Speed, 4 Def
Moveset:
Return
Wild Charge
Fire Fang
Crunch

Ive been using this set since i hatched the little 'pup and he pwns in the sand

Stoutland@life orb
Ability:sand rush
Nature:Adamant
Ev spread:252 attack, 252 Speed, 4 Def
Moveset:
Return
Wild Charge
Crunch
Ice Fang

this is the set i have in mind, think of it as a method to weaken excadrill counters ;)

Ultragimmick Stoutland:used in SUbway, probably will not work anywhere higher than NU

Stoutland@Rugged Helmet
Intimidate
Adamant/Impish
252 Atk/126 Def/126 Sp. Def (if you want Special Bulk drop some Defense or Attack)
-Toxic
-Return
-Fire Fang/Substitute/Protect
-Crunch/Wild Charge/Substitute/Protect

Not exactly CurseHelmet Ferrothorn, but an odd surprising way to deal with physical attackers. Rugged Helmet and Toxic work together to leech HP from the target, and make non-Guts users hesitant to attack, or possibly cause a switch. Return is standard strong STAB: Helmet+Toxic isn't enough on its own. Fire Fang lets you deal with Steel-types who are immune to Toxic. Substitute and Protect are for status immunity and extra Toxic damage respectively. Crunch or Wild Charge are for coverage: Crunch hits Gengar and other Ghosts who aren't as threatening, and Wild Charge hits the otherwise deadly Gyarados. If your team runs Toxic Spikes, Toxic could be replaced by a coverage move not used in the set (Crunch and Wild Volt instead of Crunch AND Wild Volt) or whatever. Rest is a daring option for stalling out a little more before being KOed. Very weird and doomed a lot of the time, but I've found it effective enough.

I realy realy hope he gets Rapid Spin in the next game to use it with his DW ability....unblocable Rapid Spinner would be a good niche for him.

Stoutland @ Life Orb
Sand Rush
Adamant
252 Atk/252 Spd/4 HP
Retaliate
Last Resort

I see this on some Sandstorm teams, but watch for Ghosts...wait, that's what you have Tyranitar for.

Stoutland @ Normal Gem
Sand Rush
Adamant
252 Atk/252 Spd/4 HP
Retaliate
Last Resort

I see this on some Sandstorm teams, but watch for Ghosts...wait, that's what you have Tyranitar for.

I'd go for Life Orb on that set... that will probably do more damage in the long run

I have a Muurando on my sand team, who is very versatile and holds up excellently in battle. The set I use as is follows:

Stoutland @ expert belt & Sand rush
EVs and Nature: (252 Sp, 252 Atk, 4 HP), Jolly
– Ice fang / Aerial ace / Fire fang / Crunch

These four moves can deal super-effective damage to more than half (50.037... %) of all pokemon. The expert belt boosts these moves, while keeping HP high (as opposed to life orb) so Muurando can weather a few hits. However, Muurando dies very quickly outside sandstorm.

the point of coverage moves is not to get super effective hits... its to get GOOD COVERAGE. while the word "super effective" might sound strong, a STAB RETURN (102x 1.5=153) does more than

a supereffective ice and fire fang:
65x2=130
a supereffective aerial ace:
60x2=120

i would run return over aerial ace.
