The ASB Tournament Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

This effect results in dealing 2 damage/action to this Pokemon in sunlight and recovering 2 HP/action in rain. It also makes the Pokemon weak to fire, but it absorbs the damage of water attacks and recovers HP when struck instead.

Poison Touch (DW) This Pokemon's body is covered with a film of poison. Whenever it hits an opponent with a contact attack, that opponent has a 30% chance of being Poisoned. When disabled, all this Pokemon's Poison-type attacks will inflict Toxic level poison.

Good Luck Trainers!

LETS GO POLARITY!!! Angry Face on!

Begin with an epic DANCE OF RAIN, and then blast his face to pieces with a Weather Ball Water and Hydro Pump! Because of your Forecast, you won't be weak to either of his attacks!

The two trainers make their final preparations as they walk into the arena. To each other, they are just a stepping stone on to greater things. But they know that they cannot slip up at any point now. iiMKUltra looks at the two Pokeballs he brought with him. He grabs one and tosses it into the air. The ball opens and Vulcan the Emboar appears in a flash of light. Leethoof finally decides on who will be the best answer to Emboar. He sends out Polarity the Castform.

Emboar doesn't seem to worried about his foe (who's ever worried about a Castform?) and he begins to Yawn. This seems to affect Polarity, who is looking rather drowsy. Trying to shake off the drowsiness, Polarity begins to Dance around. A drop of water then falls from the sky, just seconds before it begins pouring Rain. Castform then begins to change its shape to a rain drop.

Vulcan then releases some wispy flames at Polarity. The rain has no effect on the Will-o-Wisp, as the flames reach Polarity and burn it. Polarity responds by channeling some of the energy from the Weather into a Ball. It then fires the energy at Vulcan, severely damaging the Emboar.

Vulcan then begins to spark with electricity and she Charges Polarity with a Wild ferocity that we've yet to see from Vulcan. Vulcan slams into Polarity, sending it sprawling backwards. Quick to react, Polarity fires a boosted Hydro Pump that just manages to hit Vulcan.

Vulcan:
Yawn = [7 Energy]
Will-o-Wisp = [6 Energy]
Wild Charge - [9+2+(5-3)x1.5+(6-5)x1]x1.5 = [23 Damage] [7 Energy] [-6 Recoil]

Wild Bolt-Hammer Arm-Wild Bolt

If it is a light sleep (ie he's awake on action 3), Yawn instead of the second Wild Bolt.

OK Polarity...make the most of this one action of useageness! Hit him with another Weather Ball Water, and then Hydro Pump it if you somehow awaken, and then Weather Ball Water if you are awake on action three.

Feeling incredibly drowsy, Polarity unleashes on more Weather Ball, that crashes into Vulcan, before falling into a deep sleep. Vulcan takes advantage of her sleeping foe and Charges like a Wild animal, slamming into Polarity. She then swings her Arm, like a Hammer, but can't manage to hit a sleeping opponent. Angry at her own incompetence, Vulcan smashes into Polarity with another Wild Charge. It seems the jolt from that last attack was just what Polarity needed, and it finally wakes up after taking a severe beating.

Both Pokemon are feeling the effects of the battle as they prepare for their final assaults. Polarity launches a rain boosted Weather Ball, while Vulcan rushes in with a Wild Charge. Vulcan crashes through the attack, and slams into Polarity. The Castform falls to the ground, fainted. Leethoof calls Polarity back to its Pokeball, thanking Polarity for its hard work. He grabs his second ball and calls out Boggle the Toxicroak to finish the battle.

Boggle, you have the type advantage, and therefore we may make a lot of betters unhappy!

Lets stop that silly overcharged freezer from any tricky stuff with a taunt, then follow up with some damage via Drain Punch, and prepare for next round with a Nasty Plot

Voltergeist appears on the battlefield and is quick to realize the type disadvantage it has against Boggle. So Voltergeist quickly exits out of the fridge, and the Rotom reverts back to its normal form. Boggle doesn't want any more sneaky tactics like the one, so he begins to Taunt Voltergeist. Voltergeist becomes so enraged by Boggle that it only wants to hurt the frog.

Voltergeist then begins to cackle as the rain comes pouring down. It then launches a massive bolt of Thunder directly at Boggle. Boggle tries to heal off some of the damage with a Drain Punch, but he whiffs right through Voltergeist.

Boggle knows that he needs to start Plotting some Nasty tricks if he is going to beat the ghost. Voltergeist doesn't let up though, and attacks Boggle with another powerful Thunder. The rain has finally subsided and Voltergeist seems to have the advantage for now. Let's see if Boggle can make a comeback and advance his team to the next round.

Voltergeist:
Leave Fridge = [2 Energy]
Thunder - 12+3+(4-3)x1.5 = [17 Damage] [7 Energy]
Thunder - 12+3+3+(4-3)x1.5 = [20 Damage] [11 Energy]

Voltergeist keeps the pressure on Boggle, as it creates a Ball from its Shadowy energy. It then launches the ball directly at Boggle. Boggle seems to be a quick learner, as he quickly creates a Shadow Ball of his own and hurls it at Voltergeist.

Boggle seems to be hurt from that last attack. Voltergeist then rushes in, ready to take advantage of its downed opponent, when Boggle smacks it with a dirty Sucker Punch. I guess you need to do what you need to do. Voltergeist begins to spark in anger, then fires another massive Thunder bolt, zapping the frog. Both Voltergeist and Boggle begin to create their own Shadow Balls, which they then launch at each other. Both Pokemon get sent tumbling back from the impact, but are quick to their feet and are ready for more.
