The Toxic Orb won't disappear once it activates. It stays "attached" to the Gliscor, Poison Heal or not. You need Fling to get rid of the Toxic Orb. By the way, Acrobatics sets are outclassed by Swords Dance sets.
What I could have swore It disappears It does so with Breloom. Does this only happen with PO?
This also happens in-game in both Gen IV-V.

Why this set deserves to be on-site:
- This is a bait and lure set with the potential to sweep, although Gliscor is obviously a bit slow, that has been discovered through the influence of the same set used by its prevo, Gligar, in LC. Credits to masterful for that invention.
- This should be on-site because, this is an amazing lure and Sand Veil abuse set, the fact that Gliscor currently doesn't have a purely offensive set, and the fact that set has a certain irremovable surprise value, due to the popularity and slight difference in counters in the other sets.
- An example of abusing the opponent's assumption of another Gliscor set is that most of the Gliscor sets tend to Protect the first turn, in order to activate Toxic Orb. Well with this set, while they switch out or set up, on the presumed Protect, Gliscor can Substitute, then proceed to Swords Dance the next turn.
- It also lures in several counters for the other defensive sets and OHKOs them back, such as the Rotom-Appliances with Stealth Rock (mostly Rotom-W). I'm told by somebody that nobody has come up with a Rotom-W lure yet, I guess this is one of the first, and even if Rotom-W finds out its a lure set upon the Substitute, a +4 Gliscor can OHKO nearly everything that doesn't resist Acrobatics, and has EQ/FF for the rest.

Additional Comments:
- Fire Fang, Taunt, and Roost can all go over either Substitute or Earthquake.
- Fire Fang is good for hitting Bronzong and Skarmory, but unfortunately a +4 Gliscor FF only 2HKOs 252 HP / 228 Def Skarmory around 50% of the time. However, +2 Gliscor FF always 2HKOs the standard Bronzong, while HP Ice will always fail to OHKO Gliscor, even with SR.
- Taunt helps you set up over Skarmory who try to Whirlwind you and 2HKO them back with a +4 FG Acrobatics + No Item Acrobatics (not sure, but it could OHKO with FG when adding in the Recoil), but Brave Bird will do 30.24% - 36.08% on Gliscor and Taunt isn't of too much use outside of that.
- Roost is for longevity and stuff, although often times you'll find yourself rather attacking, Sand Veil induced misses could give you more opportunities to Roost. It could also help to set up on Pokemon with fixed damage, such as Blissey or Chansey.
- Max speed is recommended for tying with neutral max Speed Darmanitan and Kyurem. However, if that is not of a concern, the lowest recommended speed is 272, which is 184 Spe EVs, in order to always outspeed neutral max Speed Rotom-appliance. You can then locate the extra 72 EVs into HP, which gives you a 309, an odd number for Substitutes.
- To go in depth on how it lures things stuff like Rotom-W, this is how this set works. Switch into something like a Ferrothorn, Blissey, or Forretress setting up, or basically any slower or defensive Pokemon that Gliscor might scare away, Substitute (Sand Veil hax helps) to block Leech Seed or Swords on a weak enough attack or on their switch to a counter, such as Rotom-W. With a Substitute in tact, you can Swords Dance, then go for the over 70% chance of a OHKO with Flight Gem Acrobatics, assuming you have SR. Now 70ish% might look ugly, but it gets better when you factor in the 40.96% chance Rotom-W to hit with Hydro Pump twice in a row (once to break the Substitute), since Hydro Pump is effectively lowered to 64% accuracy. This translates to effectively 12.2% chance of Rotom-W beating you with Hydro Pump, which can significantly be lowered by simply Substituting again to get a, more often than not, Sand Veil aided miss, allowing you to SD again if you want. This is further aided by Garchomp's recent banning, as it has caused Scarf Rotom-W and HP Ice usage to go down.
- Tyranitar or Hippowdon is a must for Sand Veil to be activated. Wobbuffet is appreciated, as well as Pokemon that can take on Pokemon who can take on Skarmory and Bronzong, such as Rotom-W. SR is also a big help to get certain OHKOs, such as the Rotom-appliance one.
- Skarmory can take it on without Taunt, Bronzong without Fire Fang, Porygon2 with Ice Beam, pretty much anything faster than it that has a STAB or SE move, like Surf or Ice Beam, while Gliscor isn't behind a Substitute. Cloyster also manhandles it with Icicle Spears. Not much else can switch in without taking a smackdown from Acrobatics.

These logs are definitely not the best, but they at least show what it's supposed to, and does accomplish.
Also it's a scorpion AND a bat.
I can vouch for the above set's effectiveness. From being a great Rotom -W lure, to sweeping unprepared teams with a manner similar to SubSD Garchomp, and continuing to check the threats it normally does like Excadrill (albeit a much shakier check without the defensive investment and Poison Heal), this is a great set. It also provides a great partner to sweepers like Excadrill, as luring out its checks and counters like Rotom, Bronzong, Skarmory, and Gliscor, and severely damaging them or killing them is great as the partner can sweep much easier. Not to mention that Sand Veil is a really good and broken ability at the same time, and it granted me easier set-ups and sweeps a lot of the time in my testing.
I also went out to test this thing immediately after seeing this, and my logs will show the success I had with this set.
This first log shows my Gliscor switching in on a Breloom at turn 10. I proceed to set up a Substitute as a Bronzong switches in. Then I set up a Swords Dance to see how much a boosted Acrobatics would do, only to see HP Ice miss thanks to Sand Veil, much to my benefit. I then get to 3hko this Bronzong, with no damage taken besides the cost for the Sub. In comes Reuniclus, and I wanted to Sub to try to avoid its attacks, but instead it uses Trick Room, and it misses two Psychics in a row as I do an astonishing amount of damage with the first Acrobatics allowing me to 2hko him. A Rotom with a lot of speed investment comes to try to both break my sub and kill me Hydro Pumps, but misses twice again as I 2hko it. I win from there as Excadrill and Breloom cannot stand up to the might of this Gliscor.
This match shows my Gliscor switching into a ParaShuffler Dragonite, setting a Sub and an SD as it tries to Dragon Tail, but in the end I kill it and come out alive from a fight with Porygon 2. One of its Ice Beams miss and I 2hko that. Next I weaken his own Gliscor greatly with Acrobatics doing 66% to it, and you can later see that Excadrill comes in and cleans up.
In this match, the opponent does not know what to do against this Gliscor in the start, sending in Jirachi as fodder. However, I Sub up against his -4 SpA Mence and set up a Swords Dance on the switch, and kill Jirachi. Latias comes in to break my sub but gets killed in the process. Salamence comes in after to roost up predicting my switch since I am vulnerable without a sub out and I am only at +1, but to my opponent's dismay, +1 Acrobatics does 97% and the sandstorm finishes him off.
Short log here, Gliscor really doesn't do much until endgame, where I stop an Excadrill from sweeping by breaking its balloon with Acrobatics, tanking a +2 Rock Slide very well and finishing with Earthquake.
This time my opponent only had 5 pokemon for whatever reason, but I do 94% to the opposing Gliscor with a gem boosted Acrobatics, 2hko it. I also kill Ferrothorn in the process as it misses a Power Whip and do some nice damage to the Excadrill.
tl;dr A great set that's worth my approval.

This first log shows my Gliscor switching in on a Breloom at turn 10. I proceed to set up a Substitute as a Bronzong switches in. Then I set up a Swords Dance to see how much a boosted Acrobatics would do, only to see HP Ice miss thanks to Sand Veil, much to my benefit. I then get to 3hko this Bronzong, with no damage taken besides the cost for the Sub. In comes Reuniclus, and I wanted to Sub to try to avoid its attacks, but instead it uses Trick Room, and it misses two Psychics in a row as I do an astonishing amount of damage with the first Acrobatics allowing me to 2hko him. A Rotom with a lot of speed investment comes to try to both break my sub and kill me Hydro Pumps, but misses twice again as I 2hko it. I win from there as Excadrill and Breloom cannot stand up to the might of this Gliscor.

This match shows my Gliscor switching into a ParaShuffler Dragonite, setting a Sub and an SD as it tries to Dragon Tail, but in the end I kill it and come out alive from a fight with Porygon 2. One of its Ice Beams miss and I 2hko that. Next I weaken his own Gliscor greatly with Acrobatics doing 66% to it, and you can later see that Excadrill comes in and cleans up.

In this match, the opponent does not know what to do against this Gliscor in the start, sending in Jirachi as fodder. However, I Sub up against his -4 SpA Mence and set up a Swords Dance on the switch, and kill Jirachi. Latias comes in to break my sub but gets killed in the process. Salamence comes in after to roost up predicting my switch since I am vulnerable without a sub out and I am only at +1, but to my opponent's dismay, +1 Acrobatics does 97% and the sandstorm finishes him off.

This time my opponent only had 5 pokemon for whatever reason, but I do 94% to the opposing Gliscor with a gem boosted Acrobatics, 2hko it. I also kill Ferrothorn in the process as it misses a Power Whip and do some nice damage to the Excadrill.
tl;dr A great set that's worth my approval.

As far as partners go, CM Celebi definitely deserves a mention for being able to work as a lure for Skarmory, Bronzong, and Latios, all of which can give this set major problems if left unchecked (Celebi also synergizes with Gliscor defensively very well!).

i know that now. i was retarded then. and protect is a good option if you want a sure fire poison heal/hp gain, but swords dance and taunt are normally the preferred options just because he is a physical wall / wallbreaker. and even without the extra hp gain he can wall most physical attackers without problem.

May I ask this, but why the hell I we using the 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe spread? Gliscor’s main function is to take physical hits right? So wouldn’t 220 HP / 216 Def / 72 Spe be the optimal spread, it maximizes physical bulk after the speed ev “loss.” Either that or the Smogon defense calculator is wrong, or for some reason Gliscor needs those extra HP evs to take some special hit that I am not aware of. Can someone explain this?

As a rule, it's almost always best to max out HP on defensive pokes unless there is a MASSIVE discrepancy between HP and defenses (i.e. Wobbuffet). Gliscor's defense is high and its HP is low, so it's most efficient to take EVs out of defense rather than HP.
Seems like a silly rule, the spread should be whatever is best for the pokemon.

to add numbers to the above: CB Hax Outrage maxes out at 76.27% on 252/184 gliscor and 76.3% on 220/216 Gliscor. Theoretically the 220/216 spread actually is ideal, but gliscors hp and def are so close that whatever would be gained by it is basically negligible compared to the bulk lost against special attacks.
