Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Vance stood for a moment, thinking. On the one hand, the items were valuable (at least in some circles), and certainly rare. On the other, taking one would almost unquestionably trigger a trap or a pokemon battle. That said, a pokemon battle wouldn't be altogether undesirable, and might help for future encounters.
But if it's a trap, then the effects could be devastating to my team. More importantly, it would take up a pokeball slot that might be put to better use. And yet, if I can keep it, an appliance could prove useful. Furthermore, I might get the chance to catch a wild pokemon.
Not fully satisfied, but his mind made, Vance stepped forward and touched the microwave.
____________
Please consider this a placeholder while my question is pending.
Ingram grumbles at Sleep Powder's miss. This would cost him dearly, and would require him have Roserade play more defensively than he'd prefer. He'd have to wait out the turns to get help from his teammates if he wanted to keep going safely. He barked orders over the fire, hoping that Roserade would last the round, but depressed at how tired she'd be afterward.
As you put the appliance in one of your Pokeballs, a Wormadam Trash Cloak jumps out at you. It uses Psychic to throw the crap in the arena into a wall and trap Syclant in a pile of trash (calculate 5BAP Psychic type damage)! It will take you two rounds to break through with your other Pokemon. Wormadam uses a Safeguard on itself... looks like it will be tough to break though. Hopefully your Pokemon can take it!
Ingram's glad that Roserade lived for as long as it has, but... He lacks real options here and Roserade basically has no chance to survive in the face of its opponent. He frowns in this knowledge and shoots Roserade an apologetic look. She nods, sadly, knowing her fate as he does. Ingram stomached his failure and issued the actions regardless, knowing there was nothing he could do.
Well then. This certainly makes things a bit more interesting. Since this is singles, we're definitely going to have to play smart, especially with the poor type match up. Let's get started, Loki.
With a nod at his ally, Vance issued his orders, glancing back for a moment at Empoleon and Chandelure, both working to dismantle the trash pile.
The Solrock is defeated at the expense of Roserade, and as it faints it drops a
Sun Stone. You wonder if it was worth the effort, but you continue on anyway.
Inventory:
Hard Stone
Cell Battery
Sun Stone (6 TC Trade after defeating Boss/losing run, can instantly evolve Sun Stone evolving mons to their final stage)
Petrified Forest
The Petrified Forest is a desolate arena full of trees encased in magma long ago that have since solidified into solid rock. Although a light to the outside world still shines through, the place is so dusty and gloomy that the very sight of it depresses your spirit.
As you enter, you can't help but think you're being watched. On a pedestal there appears to be a bottle of Fresh Water for no explicable reason, with a small tree on one side. It's possible the item could heal one of your Pokemon for 50 HP. Do you go for it? You also see an exit going further into the treacherous tower.
Ingram stares at the water bottle with a snide smirk on his face. This room just screamed of "get attacked no matter what you do", and so he was hesitant to act at all. He had only to decide which was the lesser of the two evils: going for the exit or going for the water? He thought about it for a few moments, and decided that if he went for the water he would probably be right where they wanted him to be. At least if he went for the exit, he'd mess up their plans just enough to get the upper edge.
Thus, he had settled his mind. He nudged his Pokemon slightly, and carried himself off toward the exit.
Well, this is certainly bad news. That RNG roll really caused problems. Our only real hope is some luck and smart play. Loki, I'm sorry to say that even with all that said, there isn't any real chance of you surviving, barring massive hax in our favor. Well old friend, let's do what we can.
Double Team (4 clones)~Focus Blast+Stone Edge combo~cooldown
If that combo wouldn't work, just use the attacks separately.
As you attempt to flee, a Bolderdash cuts off your exit. You were probably wise though, as the small tree next to the pedestal turned out to be a Sudowoodo. They flank you on either side. It looks like the run this place...

Ingram knew this was coming, and isn't actually sure if this is better than it could have ended, but is happy they didn't spring a dozen attacks on him before he could react. He planned his motions carefully, as he didn't expect to get away with this battle unscathed, and ordered them with caution. He had to make it past these Pokemon.
His gaze solemn, Vance glanced over at Loki's unconscious form. He closed his eyes briefly.
You did well old friend.
Raising his pokeball, Vance recalled Loki, then turned to look at his two other companions. His eyes were full of life, of fire. They burned with a dangerous intensity, and their fire seemed to spread to the eyes of Pengwin and Danse Macabre as well.
Don't let Loki's sacrifice be in vain. Finish this upstart.
Pengwin:
Bodyblock (Chandelure)~Hydro Pump
IF it is valid, Protect (Chandelure) instead of Bodyblocking.

You enter a bland, iron-colored area with few defining features. This whole tower appears cold, hollow, and heavy, and this room is no exception. You come down the end of the hall to a dead end and find yourself frustrated. You look around and notice how wide the place is. This is a hall and must be at least 15 feet wide. The size of the place begins to make your heart sink. Sadly, the only thing left at the end of this hallway is 10 foot tall a statue of a woman in full battle dress. She holds a shield and a sword, but both look like they can be taken. The expression on the statue's face is entirely wooden, it appears she'll be displeased with any decision. Both objects look extraordinarily heavy but maybe you can use one of them, which one will you choose?
Vance nodded to himself. Yet again, he was faced with options whose ramifications he had no way of discerning. Still, with only two remaining pokemon, his choice was a bit easier this time around. The only question was what would occur after he made his choice. There would almost certainly be a trap, enemy pokemon, or both.
If that's how it has to be, Vance thought, then so be it.
Signaling both of his partners to be ready, Vance grabbed hold of the shield.
Ingram sighs. There is very little he can do against overwhelming odds and Pokemon that were clearly prepared for him before he came into the dungeon. It is no surprise to him now why no one has succeeded before him. Still, he steels himself and tries to endure this battle the best that he can. He nods to his allies, giving them hope where there is none to offer.
Milotic:
Rest ~ Sleep Talk (Hydro Pump Sudowoodo, Scald Sudowoodo, Recover, Hypnosis Sudowoodo)
IF (Rest isn't initiated for any reason) THEN (Push actions down)
As soon as you can lift the shield, a Klang comes out to attack you and is rebuffed by the sheild. A Mawile comes around the corner after it. Both stand to face you.
Guardian Battle (Triples) Arena Rules:
Only Sandstorm weather allowed, Sandstorm is changed to Shrapnel (3 DPA, +/-1, for Steel weakness/resistance, Steel types are immune) when used.
No Water Supply.
(Heads up, but intense confusion is 4 actions now, not 3 actions)
Ingram smashes his palm against his forehead. As if this shit weren't bad enough with the stupid Pokemon getting ridiculously lucky... He pretty much lacked a way to keep Milotic alive now, but he had to press on.. or something.
Milotic:
Sleep Talk (Hydro Pump Sudowoodo, Scald Sudowoodo, Water Pulse Sudowoodo, Brine Sudowoodo) ~ Chill
IF (Sudowoodo uses Protect on first action) THEN (Replace actions with Do Nothing ~ Hydro Pump Sudowoodo)
Now things were getting complicated. While not inherently difficult individually, the fact that there were now two opponents, coupled with his pokemon's weakened condition, meant that the situation was dire indeed. If he had any hopes of success, luck would have to be on his side, and no mistakes could be made.
Here goes nothing.
Chandelure:
Pain Split (Mawile)~Trick Room
IF Mawile would somehow block Pain Split A1, swap your actions.
Empoleon:
Mud-Sport (Klang)~Dig (Klang)
IF Trick Room is not in effect by your A2, use Brick Break (Klang) instead.
I think you forgot to update my pokemon's current state. So I think Chandelure is still taunted. But if not change A1 to Pain Split (Mawile).
Also, did you remember to calculate the increased weakness of the opponents (i.e. Brick Break being x3 effective rather than x2 because of the arena's effects? Likewise for this upcoming round's Heat Waves being x3.)
