It's nearing the end. The Ground-types face each other up, neither willing to go down. Excadrill powerfully Shook the Earth, but Donphan knew he could do better. He retaliated, Shaking the Earth with force that both hit the floating Excadrill and that was stronger than its opponent's. But Excadrill wasn't giving up either. It ran at Donphan, Metallically Headbutting him, and scaring him off, before Shaking the Earth once more, Knocking Donphan Out.
It's now 1-1, but Deck Knight almost certainly has it in the bag. How can zarator abuse subs, especially from the creator of the game? How can Deck prevent zarator from making a comeback?

zarator knew his final chance. He had to rely on the dreaded h-word: Hax. Not Haxorus, just Hax. He ordered Excadrill to Swagger at Lanturn, confusing it. But Lanturn fought through it, through Hax, and controlled it, as it shot a mass of Boiling Water at the Mole, Knocking it Out, and concluding possibly the closest first round battle in a tournament!

A good match as always zarator, though there were some rounds of unfortunate (rather than strategic) hax.
