<p>Natu can run an effective FeatherDance set in order to defeat common hazard users, such as Dwebble, without difficulty. Since the hermit crab fails to do over 65% with Stone Edge after a FeatherDance, Natu can simply stall it out with Roost. Ferroseed's Gyro Ball won't do over 26% after the attack drop either, and Tentacool's Scald can inflict a mere 40%. Those are the most powerful attacks that hazard users can use against Natu. Therefore, the Tiny Bird Pokemon will have an easier time against other hazard users. FeatherDance is also exceptionally useful against the multitude of Fighting-type Pokemon in the metagame, such as Timburr, Mienfoo, and Croagunk. After a FeatherDance, Timburr's Payback will do only a maximum of 60%, assuming Natu switches on a Bulk Up, and other weak attacks such as Mienfoo's Payback or Croagunk's Ice Punch will do even less. The only Fighting-type Pokemon this set cannot defeat is Scraggy, but it itself cannot defeat Natu if it switches into a FeatherDance. Additionally, Pursuit users such as Stunky and Munchlax have no hope at beating Natu. Stunky will do a meager 34% maximum after a FeatherDance, and if the Natu user successfully predicts a Crunch and switches out after lowering Stunky's attack, the skunk Pokemon is turned into setup fodder for another sweeper such as Shell Smash Omanyte or Dragon Dance Scraggy. Hidden Power Flying is a STAB move that is useful for chipping away at Ferroseed, Shelmet, and Fighting-type Pokemon, and Toxic cripples walls such as Lileep, Hippopotas, and Slowpoke, which can't do significant damage to the Natu.</p>

Toxic destroys walls such as Lileep, Munchlax, Hippopotas, and others. While U-turn isn't on the set, it can be used instead of Toxic for keeping or gaining momentum, scouting, or just to avoid Pokemon that will Pursuit Natu. Psychic and Hidden Power Flying are nice, powerful STABs, and have the added bonus of hitting the common Fighting-type Pokemon that roam the metagame. <p>Magnemite and other Steel-types resist everything Natu runs, bar Hidden Power Fire. Magnemite is able to OHKO Natu with Thunderbolt, and other Steel-types can setup. Gastly can hit Natu hard, but it has to get in without being hit by Psychic. Chinchou can take anything Natu uses, and hurt it with Thunderbolt. It can even use Heal Bell to negate the effects of Toxic. Staryu works the same, shrugging off Toxic due to Natural Cure, and can take any attack Natu can throw at it, whittling it down with Thunderbolt or Ice Beam. Scraggy is a good partner for Natu, as it can tank hits from the Pokemon mentioned earlier, and Natu can counter Mienfoo, which is a huge burden for Scraggy. If a Chinchou is on the same team as Natu, both will benifit from one another. Chinchou can counter Magnemite and other Chinchou that switch into Natu, while Natu can deal with Chinchou's counters, such as Ferroseed and Lileep.</p>
