Tauros.
Jolly@choice band
248 spd 252 atk 8 hp
~zen headbutt
~return
~earthquake
~stone edge.

my lead and revenge killer. he usually gets a kill first turn or if not he finishes off most leads in two. enough speed so he can revenge kill infernape. also intimidate over anger point. eq does 143.3% to infernape and return 2HKOS azelf.

tyranitar.png
Tyranitar.
adamant@life orb
252 atk 126 hp 126 spd 4 def
~taunt
~stone edge
~crunch
~dragon dance

Bulky, powerful and the ability to stop sweeps. i dont see this set in play that much but i think it is heavily underrated. Stone edge and crunch for STAB, Dragon dance for when they switch and taunt to stop getting phazed or to stop the foe setting up.

salamence.png
Salamence.

timid@choice specs
252 spatk 252 spd 4 hp
~Draco meteor
~Dragon pulse
~flamethrower
~hydro pump

Standard specsmence. nothing else to be said.

weavile.png
Weavile.
jolly@choice band
252 atk 252 spd 4 hp
~ice shard
~pursuit
~night slash
~brick break

standard weavile i guess. pursuit>ice punch because it is good for when you predict a switch.
eg.

"gengar used shadow ball."
"player switched in weavile"
"weavile took77%"
"foe switched out gengar"
"weavile used pursuit"
"foe gengar fainted" You get my drift anyway.

steelix.png
Steelix

Impish@leftives
252 hp 252 def 4atk
~earthquake
~roar
~stealth rock
~crunch

This may seem a bit unorthodox but this set is fun and effective.
Come in on something that dosent like steelix. then stealth rock as they switch. they would have probably gone to a steelix counter so you switch accordingly to salamence or tyranitar, KO that, Bring steelix back in and have fun abusing roar and watching the hp of there pokes slowly deplete.
crunch for cresselia and ghosts and eq for type coverage.

Heracross.gif
Heracross.
adamant@choice scarf
252 atk 252 spd 4 hp
~stone edge
~megahorn
~close combat
~night slash

Pretty self explanatory. combos well with steelix, after the foes pokes have been damaged by stealth rock and roar this guy can come in and clean up .
Mainly late game sweeper. not in here for anything else really.

so. Rate/10 comment give advice.

constructive criticism is welcome.

tauros is never used in OU for a reason- skarmory. And any scizor would drool to switch in on tauros for a free turn to set up an SD, after which they can sweep you. And yes, an SD technician STAB max attack bullet punch will OHKO ttar.

I see your team is scizor weak in other places, too. it'll kill tauros, salamence(with 2 SD's), heracross, ttar, and weavile. no problem (after it gets an sd) which it always will switching into tauros. Notice that that is 5/6 of your team. Yep, you're scizor weak.

So what to do? Only thing for it- no tauros lead. Sorry. But when in the course of metagame events, it becomes necessary for one player to dissolve the pokemon affinities which have connected them with each other and to assume their position among the leaderboard- the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them.

Sorry. So for a lead- try trickrachi.

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Serene Grace
Jolly (+ Speed, - Special Attack)
252 atk/252 Speed (or any spread, i dont work hard for my ev spreads)
-Trick
-Iron Head
-Body Slam
-U-turn

Not a bad lead. Trick on a scarf, then serene grace hax to paraflinch stuff. U-turn when something nasty comes in.

Also, you're gonna get hit hard by anything with mach punch or vacuum wave. Perhaps you should switch out ttar with a rotom:

Rotom-Who knows what@ Light Clay
Levitate
Bold/Calm nature (+ Def./Sp.Def, - Attack)
252 HP/who knows what else
-Tbolt
-other elemental move/ Thunder wave
-Reflect
-Light Screen

No one likes getting dual screened. This thing is dang bulky and really hard to hit SE on.

I almost never work this hard. You should thank me, although i probably didnt contribut anything.

Im too lazy to check if any of this stuff is standard- i dont use it personally.

Eliwood FTW!

luxormaniac is right, you are extremely Scizor weak, and he was #1 most used(not sure about now, but still in top 2). Anyways, he can switch into a lot of moves/pokemon on your team, including Steelix, Weavile, Tauros, Tyranitar's Crunch, Heracross, and Salamence's Dragon Pulse. This is not a good weakness to have, as such I think you should replace Tauros with an Impish Gyarados, who can also combat SD Lucario(who also sweeps your team). Other than that you should be set.

no way! i never have a useful opinion. You just made my day. I also just realized, while we're on the topic of gyarados...

Electivire @ Expert Belt
Motor Drive
Adamant (+ Atk, - Sp Atk)
252 Atk/252 Spe
-Thunderpunch
-EQ
-Cross Chop
-Ice punch

Electivire is perfect for pairing with Gyarados. Gyara is a magnet for electric attacks, so predict them and switch in to Evire. Motor Drive will boost its speed allowing for a successful sweep. Expert Belt does x1.2 extra to SE attacks, and as he hits 13/17 of all types SE, thats quite useful and without LO's recoil. Only problem- mispredict and you've got a dead e-vire. Or if they see it coming your dead. Which brings me to a story...

"Once upon a time electivire was loved. Every team with a gyarados had one and cherished their beloved e-vire. Everything was happy in Electroland."
"But one day people who both had electivire started realizing that the other person had one too to go with their gyarados. So they learned to predict the switch in and hit hard with something else instead."
"Coming in on an attack was hard for poor E-vire, and he wasn't quite fast enough to finish his job. He died, and so did many others like him. The entire population declined in numbers, and to this day you will hardly ever see an electivire because of the Great E-vire Extinction."

The moral of the story? If electivire ever becomes popular enough again that people will expect it with gyarados, DO NOT USE IT.

Might want to use Thunderbolt/Earthquake/Cross Chop/Flamethrower on that set - it's walled by most physical walls, so run Thunderbolt to not get walled by Weezing, and Flamethrower for Scizor.

you'll lose coverage, and i havent seen a weezing since the last time i used one in october. Although your points are quite valid. maybe i should run the damage calcs on scizor- are most max HP or max speed?

damage calcs- max attack evires tpunch 3HKO's max hp/min def. scizor
min. sp.att./ neutral nature flamethrower usually OHKO's said scizor, always with stealth rock

well, thats nice to know next time i use evire (of course, scizor didn't exist last time i did.) you can go Lonely to drop its already super low defence, or even mild since that set is half special. Only problem is you wont hurt CM suicune as bad.
You could use rotom on that.

Actually, that half special set is quite a plausible idea, but i would keep ice punch cuz otherwise your mence meat.
Maybe drop cross chop?

A big weakness to Infernape seems to be present throughout the team, and oddly enough, a lot of teams have trouble against Infernape, so that's why I'm here to help.

Nothing in your team can safely switch into Infernape as all of your pokemon are immediately threatened by Infernape's common attacks, including Salamence, since some Infernape do carry Hidden Power Ice. While Heracross can keep Infernape in check, so to speak, you will have to be sacrificing pokemon left and right before you can safely switch in Heracross.

A solid counter to Infernape is Vaporeon, and I find it being extremely useful on your team, as it also helps cover your weakness to Gyarados. Vaporeon helps pass along recovery to the rest of your team, which may not necessarily be too helpful on a offensive team, but you have the option nonetheless.

I'd recommend running the following set...

Vaporeon@Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 20 SpA / 12 SpD / 8 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Electric]

The beauty of this set narrows down to the specific EV spread geared to maximize Vaporeon's defenses. Vaporeon never gets 2HKO'd by a standard MixApe's Grass Knot. You also outspeed slower versions of Scizor, which is always a nice thing to have since Scizor can't do much to you with only Bullet Punch.

I hope my rating was of help to you, and if you have any more questions, feel free to bring them up and I'll do my best to answer them.

What kind of team are we running now?

Gyarados lead
Rotom-Toaster
Electivire
Vaporeon
Steelix
Hera?

So how do you feel about these suggestions- Which ones will you use or not, so we can work with the updated team?

i definitively want to keep specsmence.
i will switch ttar with rotom and switch weavile with vaporeon.
any other suggestions
