OPs are probably the hardest thing about a battle. I don't know why I even try.

Anyway, Athenodoros was walking through scenic Sootopolis one day when he thought it might be a good arena to test his babies out. He decided on the arena, and the format, and posted it on the local bulletin board.
Looking for a 6v6 doubles for Pokemon which have not evolved to their highest evolution. DQ is 2 Days. No recovers, 5 Chills.

Arena: Sootopolis city. Basically, a huge bowl, which leads down to a huge pool of water. Open to the elements.

EDIT: @fogdish
Another trainer named dogfish44 responded to the challenge almost immediately.
@B_T : I'll ref when that gets a challenger

@Athenodorosososos: Accepted! Ref hunting time!
And Cool Trainer MK stepped up to the plate to ref their battle. What an excellent metaphor. At the same time, he noticed that dogfish has no idea how to accept a battle, and pestered him mercilessly.
<iiMKUltra> oh dogfish44
<iiMKUltra> abilities?
<iiMKUltra> one/none/all
<iiMKUltra> and items
<iiMKUltra> and switch -_-
<dogfish44> items off, all abilities, switch = ok

MK, upon noticing that the challenge was baby mons only, decided to send out his Dratini Hyperion to frolic in the water and play with the mons on the sidelines. Be warned, trainers, for this Dratini, through its obscene cuteness, has a lot of friends in high places, both in MK's team and elsewhere (maybe even in other dimensions, if you catch my drift). Should a stray attack hit Hyperion a few too many times, they will definitely let you know about their displeasure.

You know, I enjoy evilness.

Short Fuse the Elekid, Sunkool the Sunkern, Let's GO!

Sunkool, Leech Seed Hephaestus, then Mega Drain Ao. Finish up with a Mega Drain aimed at Hephaestus.

Short Fuse, Hidden Power Grass on Ao. Then ThunderPunch Hephaestus, then Hidden Power Grass on Ao.

Athenodoros

Okay, you two, this is going to be very complicated. I hope you can work it out. The secret is this:

Ice Beam + Ice Beam => Ice Beam + Ice Beam => Ice Beam + Ice Beam

All of the above is targetted at Sunkern. I hope you two can work it out. If somehow Sunkern passes out, then move to Ao using Stone Edge and Hephaestus using Hydro Pump, both on Elekid, until the end of the round.

Atheno, being the challenger, sends out his pokemon first. Two water types appear out of his pokeballs, a Tirtouga and a Piplup.

Tirtouga (M), Ao

Nature:
Lonely - Attack increased by *. Defense Decreased by *

Type:
Water - Water STAB; Can breathe and have excellent mobility when underwater, are less capable on land unless they are entirely amphibious. Splash and Ice Moves have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).
Rock - Rock STAB; Take 2 less damage from all special attacks during Sandstorm, Earth Power, Earthquake and Magnitude have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Abilities:
Solid Rock - This Pokemon’s body is extremely solid and durable, and it takes three (3) less damage from all super-effective enemy attacks.
Sturdy - This Pokemon’s body is solidly constructed, reducing damage from an opponents attacks by one (1) damage. The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) damage.

Dogfish plays the dick card, sending out two type-advantaged mons. Commendable play.

Sunkern [Sunkool] (F)
Nature: Modest

Solar Power: When in bright sunlight, this Pokemon burns solar energy and 1 HP/action to increase the Base Attack Power of all their special attacks by two (2).

Elekid [Short Fuse] (M)
Type: Electric - Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.

The speed order is therefore:
Elekid-Piplup-Sunkern-Tirtouga.

And the battle begins! Elekid starts off with a fearsome Hidden Power on Ao. Judging by the Prototurtle's reaction, it's probably a grass type move, which doesn't bode well for either of Atheno's pokemon. Hephaestus is the next to move, with an Ice Beam aimed at Sunkern, and the Grass-type can't handle it, frozen to the core! Because of this, Sunkern is unable to use its Leech Seed attack on Hephaestus. Battlers' faces at this stage:

Try and guess who's who ^_^
Another Ice Beam comes at Sunkern from Ao, and dogfish doesn't look happy.

Short Fuse then rushes towards Hephaestus, smacking the forge god upside the head with a fist covered in sparks, knocking the penguin pokemon down the slope a little. Shockingly, his attack of choice is an Ice Beam, directed at Sunkool, who responds by Mega Draining the ice. Unsurprisingly, it doesn't do a lot of damage. Ao, not one to break tradition, uses yet another Ice Beam on Sunkern.

Short Fuse repeats its first action, an HP Grass on Ao, dealing huge damage as Hephaestus hits back with another Ice Beam on Sunkern. The grass type still can't break out of the ice with a Mega Drain, and Ao uses another Ice Beam on Sunkool, so strongth that it KOes her! Resounding cries of 'BS HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAX' are heard from dogfish and his group of supporters (his phone, playing whatever he says on repeat).

Your calcs seem to be a bit off for the Ice Beams - Heph's is a bit weak, and AO's is a bit strong.

Also, how would a frozen mon actually be hit by a beam of ice? It has all the ice surrounding it already...

I disagree with your interpretation of freeze heavily (It seems to be mmore like a greater variant of paralyses in your books than being quite literally frozen in ice). Alas...

Homer J Simpson (Gulpin)! Let's go!

Okay, to begin with Ao can just Earthquake => Earthquake => Earthquake.

Piplup, you can use Bide, and then unleash energy at the end at Elekid.

Short Fuse! I want you to make a Light Screen Platform, and jump on it to dodge those earthquakes. Then use Hidden Power Grass on Ao twice. If needed, use "Jump onto Platform" as your second action, should you not do so in your first action.

Homer J Simpson! Yawn @ Piplup, Then Giga Drain Ao twice.

After the sad death of his mostly incapacitated Sunkern, dogfish44 has to send out a new pokemon. His choice is Homer J. Simpson, a Gulpin.

Gulpin [Homer J Simpson] (Male)
Nature: Quiet (+ Sp.Atk ; - Speed)

Type: Poison: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens uninhibited. Dasutodasu, Muk, and Weezing inflict Toxic Poisoning with Solid/Liquid/Gaseous Poison attacks (respectively), Wrap, Haze, and Glare have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Abilities:
Liquid Ooze: Type: Innate ; This Pokemon’s body is covered in a slimy poison that when drained by Leech Seed or another draining move, damages the opposing Pokemon for the amount that would have been healed.
Sticky Hold: Type: Innate ; This Pokemon’s body is covered in a sticky substance that prevents item theft or swapping.

Speed order:
Elekid-Piplup-Gulpin-Tirtouga

Elekid, fast as lightning (no pun intended), summons a platform of golden light and jumps on it. While Short Fuse prances about with light, Hephaestus braces itself, straining its little penguin face and forming an aura of white around itself. Not wanting to break the chain of hyper offense, Homer J yawns in Piplup's direction, while Ao finally decides to do something unlike its brethren and Earthquakes the crap out of Homer J and Hephaestus, while Short Fuse is sadly immune due to its new-found levitation.

Fresh from an action of taking no damage, Short Fuse HP Grasses from atop his perch, dealing more super-duper-effective damage to Ao. Piplup is still storing energy. He'll have his time. God he'll make them pay; take it back one day. You wah? Anyway, Homer J Giga Drains Piplup, restoring some life force in a vampiric fashion. Ao ends this action's proceedings with another Earthquake, hitting all but himself and Short Fuse.

After another damageless action, Short Fuse is in tip-top condition to launch another Hidden Grass-based assault on Hephaestus, who has finally reached his beak capacity (pun definitely intended), and all the power stored within comes flying out, smashing into Elekid, who only just grips onto his platform, as Homer J uses another Twilight style Giga Drain (YEAH DF I WENT THERE) on Hephaestus. Ao finishes off the round with another Earthquake, hitting Hephaestus and Homer J as usual. Just as the trainers are about to review the round, Short Fuse's Light Screen begins to crumble under his weight, and it cracks, leaving him vulnerable once more.

Homer, go with 3 Giga Drains - Aim at Piplup until it's KO'ed, then start aiming at Ao.

Are you joking? It is a Light Screen, not something you can jump on, otheriwse it would stop physical attacks and not special attacks. That thing should essentially be dead now.

Ao, I don't think there is much we can do about him getting that kill. Let off one more Earthquake at the start to finish off Elekid, and then let off Aqua Jets until you die.

Hephaestus, you almost definitely won't have time to attack, but if you can then let off Hydro Pumps at Gulpin before you die.

Elekid, once again before anyone else can move, Quick Attacks Piplup. The brutalness of the strike (jk it was weak as hell) KOs Hephaestus, leaving Jomer Hay the next to move. He starts with yet another Giga Drain on Ao, leaving me really low on sapping-based metaphors. MK looks on in disapproval. Ao Earthquakes, knocking out Elekid instantly and dealing some damage to Homer.

Ao launches a priority Aqua Jet at Homer, who responds with a critical hit Giga Drain, knocking out Ao. HAX RETURNED.

Okay then. Poseidon, you just use Surf three times unless Homer J Simpson uses Giga Drain, in which case you should Mirror Coat it back afterwards.

Typhon, you should just use three Hydro Pumps against Rattata, unless it digs to avoid it in which case you should just aim them at Homer J Simpson. If he faints, though, just keep aiming for Rattata.

I suppose this will be interesting ^_^.

Homer J Simpson, begin with a Pain Split on Typhon. Then Chill *2

Rattata, begin with Digging down to trigger the Subs. Then Complete your Dig attack on Typhon, and finish up by waiting for the attacks to hit and bounce back with a Revenge on Typhon if it's alive, else use it on Poseidon.

Speed Order:
Rattata-Lapras-Marshtomp-Gulpin

After last round's killing spree, three new mons are on the field. Jerry the Rattata is the first to move, digging down into the soft stone and staying underground for the moment. Typhon the Lapras then unleashes a torrent of water from his maw, drenching Homer J. Poseidon the Marshtomp then calls on his namesake, summoning a wave to soak Homer and healing Lapras of any (no) damage thanks to Water Absorb. Gulpin then begins to glow very faintly, while Typhon glows very strongly. This looks like a Pain Split attack, and the auras slowly even out, until both pokemon are on the same HP.

Jerry then comes up to hit Typhon with a Dig attack, and Typhon responds with another Hydro Pump, but this one misses Jerry completely and hits the poor defenseless Hyperion. He cries a little, and the sound seems to have attracted a visitor! A rumble is heard on the horizon, and Latios appears in the sky, bristling with rage at his young friend being harmed. He summons a Thunder attack, but um... misses. Ashamed at his failure, Latios scoots away so the trainers can continue with the battle. Poseidon summons another wave, actually healing Typhon this time.

Jerry waits for a little, allowing Typhon to start things off with another Hydro Pump. This one hits its mark and crits, leaving a soaked Jerry. Poseidon uses yet another Surf, healing Typhon again. Jerry unleashes his Revenge attack on Typhon to end the round.

That worked out reasonably well guys, so much the same thing can happen this round. Typhon, you can just use Bide on Jerry. Poseidon, you can just start a Rain Dance after Ponyta clears the skies, and then just use Surf twice.

Typhon braces for impact, a technique many of Atheno's pokemon seem familiar with. df's new pokemon, Sparklez the Ponyta, arrives on the scene and sends a beam of red light up into the sky. All the clouds are cleared away and the sun starts shining brightly, powering up Sparklez's Fire moves. Jerry runs up to Typhon and bites him with a Hyper Fang. None of the three possible side effects occur, adding one boring point to Jerry's total. Poseidon then shoots up a beam of blue light, summoning rainclouds to the arena, and making Water attacks stronger.

Typhon continues its bracing, as Sparklez shoots the same beam of red light up to the sky. Surprisingly, the same thing happens as last time! Jerry uses a supereffective Wild Charge on Typhon, taking a small amount of recoil from his electrifying attack. Poseidon then Surfs, summoning a wave from the pool, but its power is diminished by the sunlight, and none of the participants are too badly damaged.

Typhon releases all the pent up energy at Jerry, and after the Surf, Jerry simply cannot hold on, and is left all washed up. Sparklez releases a waft of blue flame at Lapras, and the blue pokemon is burned. Poseidon uses yet another Surf attack, doing absolutely nothing of interest.

Guys, I think it is time to end this. The round can start off with Typhon starting a Perish Song, which can''t be blocked by anything, to put a time limit on this. Then, Lapras can just Hydro Pump twice on Ponyta.

Poseidon, you can just help Lapras out by letting off another Surf to heal him, and then hitting Ponyta with a Waterfall before just Surfing again. We'll have this!

Ahh, Perish Song. Can make any moron using it look amazing. Can also be prevented, contrary to popular belief.

RAWK, Bite down on Typhon's mouth, I wanted you to keep hold of it to keep it shut, preventing a Perish Song. Then, Rock Throw on Typhon until it dies, shifting target to Poseidon should Typhon die.

Sparklez, 3 Double Kicks on Typhon, also swapping targets when Typhon dies.
