Our two battlers meet for a quick one-on-one battle in a field infested with buggy bugs that love flowers and hate fire, which sounds appropriate. Metal Bagon sends out his Drilbur, aptly named Drill Claw, to match up with Venser's Bulbasaur, Yoshi!

Drill Claw starts off by frolicking in the field with an impressive Swords Dance that appears to be boosting the mole emotionally in preparation for the battle! Yoshi takes the opportunity to Leech Seed it, which sort of reminds Drill Claw that it's in the middle of a battle and that there's no time to be dancing and taking in the sweet smells and bright light on this beautiful day. Drill Claw quits its dance and zooms up close to Yoshi, striking it with a Metal Claw! Oops, got too close, it seems, as Yoshi was able to pierce it with a Toxic barb, poisoning it! Realizing it has no time to waste, Drill Claw unleashes a mighty Earthquake, shaking the ground violently and doing good damage! Yoshi, looking to shake off the damage from the attack, hits Drill Claw right back with a powerful Giga Drain, sapping even more health! Things looks dark for Drill Claw after this first round, so let's see if it can turn things around in the next!

Sandstorm to hopefully blast sleep pwder back at Yoshi. Earthquake for MORE DAMAGE, try and time when Yoshi is just starting to exucute vine whip to catch the little thing off
balance. Finnaly use Mud Slap to hopefully deflect the venoshock and if not deal decent damage to that Bulbasaur.

Drill Claw gets back on its feet to try for a comeback this round and it starts by firing a focused blast of Sandstorm straight at Yoshi, who fires off its own blast of Sleep Powder in response! The two blasts of powder and sand meet in the middle of the two Pokemon as they struggle for an advantage, but both eventually dissipate, leaving the Pokemon a little short of breath with nothing to show for it. Drill Claw snaps back into battle with another Earthquake, to which Yoshi responds with a Super-Effective Vine Whip! Shaken, Drill Claw takes a defensive position with a Mud-Slap, getting mud in Yoshi's eyes and lowering its accuracy! Barely able to see, Yoshi communes with the earth to try and hone in on Drill Claw's position. It fires off a Venoshock that still manages to strike Drill Claw right in the belly! What a wallop! And if that's not enough damage, Drill Claw's poison is getting worse! Looks like things just got a little darker for the baby mole and that comeback is now farther away than it was before.
