Canas
HP: 53
Energy: 36
Boosts: None
Other: None

--------------------

Our competitors try to squeeze in a quick round of action before the cops show up, so they get right to the action! Canas starts off with another Dark Pulse that critically hits Lanca right in the chest! Reeling from the blow, Lanca zooms in for a Bug Bite and hits Canas hard! Lanca quickly follows that up with a Faint Attack and returns the critical hit right back, but Canas was ready and Countered the blow! On her last legs, Canas releases a final Dark Pulse, but wasn't so lucky with the flinch this time and finally goes down to a mighty X-Scissor! Frosty thanks Canas for doing so well and returns it to its Pokeball.

"Excuse me, I've gotten word there was an unsanctioned Pokemon battle occurring here today." Oh no, Officer Jenny has arrived. "Oh my gosh, look at this Daycare Center! What have you done! You should all be ashamed of yourselves!"

Frosty, deadfox081 and the remaining spectators all sheepishly stare at their feet as Officer Jenny inspects the damage.

"Who is responsible for this?" She asks.

"Well," says Frosty. "I don't know, I just showed up here, but I think it was deadfox081 over there and his Karrablast."

"Hold on a minute!" says deadfox 081, "Frosty--"

"Mr. Deadfox081," Officer Jenny authoritates, "You and your Karrablast have violated numerous laws here today. I'm fining you for the damage and issuing you a citation for disturbing the peace and vandalism."

"But--"

"Good day, folks," says Officer Jenny, "and I don't want to hear any more about Pokemon battles happening at this daycare."

Turns out there was a silver lining for Frosty's Canas being KO'd, after all.

Lanca: Bug Bite (20 damage, -4 energy, crit fails)

Frosty sends out Hector @ Thick Fat (if you really want Pickup say so in your actions post)

deadfox081 --> Frosty --> Korski

We might as well just go for outright damage this time around Lanca, so how about showing off your Fury Cutter and seeing just how dangerous it can be.

Fury Cutter x 3

Hector

--------------------

And with the police problem solved, Frosty sneaks Hector into battle! Lanca is a bit woozy from its spat with Canas, but it wishes to continue battling to the bitter end, flying at Hector with a Fury Cutter! Hector takes a few swipes at the bug, Chipping Away some HP! But Lanca's not holding back! It appears to be going crazy and just Fury Cuttering away at Hector! The little blob, who, by the way, may have been the cause of all this carnage, looks prepared for this most recent blow, as it Counters the attack, finally KOing the rampaging Lanca!

--------------------

Action 1:

Lanca: Fury Cutter (10 damage, -3 energy, crit fails)
Hector: Chip Away (12 damage, -4 energy, crit fails)

Action 2:

This means deadfox081 is down to Psycha the Solosis, who I will assume will be using Magic Guard. In any case:

Frosty --> fox --> Korski

This does not bode well. At all

Alright Hector, time to show this blob your versitle you can be. Start by using Double Edge as your welcome gift, after that use Fire Blast and finalize with another Double Edge.

We're in a good position here Psycha, but let's not get overconfident. You may well need that Magic Guard of yours.

Begin with a Thunder Wave to hopefully rack up some hax. Then use Psyshock to pick on his weaker defences and finish with a Confuse Ray to set us up for the next round.

EDIT: Also Hector didn't lose the energy from the Counter in your round summary.

--------------------

It's down to the final two Pokemon, Psycha vs. Hector to decide the fate of the great juicebox debacle of 2011! Psycha starts off with a Thunder Wave, paralyzing Hector down to 1 Spe (lol)! Undeterred, Hector falls forward with a big ol' Double-edge, doing impressive damage! Psycha then hits Hector hard with a Psychock, which Hector returns with a Fire Blast! Finally, Psycha decides to play some more mind games with a Confuse Ray! Hector, beaten, paralyzed, and confused, looks like a floundering nincompoop out there now. Trying to get something together, Hector is instead fully paralyzed and cannot move at all!

--------------------

Action 1:

Psycha: Thunder Wave (-7 energy)
Hector: Double-edge (15 damage, -5 HP, -7 energy, crit fails); paralyzed (25%)

(Just a note, it isn't included in the OP but when I made this challenge I included the standard 2 recoveries/5 chills. Reference is here)

Ok Psycha, time to take the offensive position.

Hector

--------------------

The two round Pokemon go at it again to see who can whittle down the other fastest! They start off by exchanging Psyshock for Fire Blast again, matching damages. Then they both take a break, with Psycha Recovering damage and Hector creating a 15 HP Substitute to take damage for it! After the break, Psycha throws another Psyshock at Hector, but it hits the Substitute instead, leaving Hector safely behind it! Hector, somehow fighting off paralysis this whole way, then fires off another Fire Blast, hitting Psycha for some more solid damage!

--------------------

Action 1:

Psycha: Psyshock (14 damage, -5 energy, crit fails)
Hector: Fire Blast (14 damage, -8 energy, crit fails, burn fails)

--------------------

Down to the last couple of rounds here. Psycha pulls back into a defensive position after failing to break Hector's Substitute and conjures up a Light Screen out of nowhere! Hector tries to bash through it with another Fire Blast, but only a few embers get through. Next, Psycha finally gets around to breaking that Substitute with a Hidden Power while Hector Ice Beams the tiny bubble! Psycha returns to its earlier plans by Psycshocking Hector once again, and good thing, too, because it critically hits hector, doing massive damage! Hector, reeling, manages to toss another Fire Blast Psycha's way, which once again gets caught up in the Light Screen and does less than desirable damage. But hey, on the good side, at least Hector's battling through this paralysis like a champion!

--------------------

Action 1:

Psycha: Light Screen (-7 energy)
Hector: Fire Blast (9 damage, -8 energy, crit fails, burn fails)

Action 2:

Psycha: Hidden Power (1 damage, breaks Substitute, -5 energy, crit fails)

Okay Hector, since we are going to lose here, I am using my last trick. A very courageous trick that shows my ability to think ahead and how strategic I can be.

Use Metronome to choose one of the following 10 moves.

Giga Impact
Payback
Bide
Megahorn
Fissure
Sheer Cold
V-Create
Sludge Bomb
Water Gun
Gust

(Hint: Pick Megahorn)

After that use Double-Edge and finalize with Chill...as in, inside the pokeball, while I rush to a Pokecenter.

HP: 33
Energy: 45
Boosts: None
Other: Light Screen (4 more actions)

Hector
HP: 32
Energy: 20
Boosts: None
Other: Paralyzed (10%)

--------------------

Okay this battle is coming down to the wire, and both competitors are pretty dazed. Psycha, still plopped down behind its Light Screen, goes on the offensive with a Psychic attack, knocking Hector back a step! Hector looks kind of dazed and out of it after that attack, rocking back and forth rhythmically, eyes rolling up into the back of its head... wait, no! That's not Hector being dazed at all! It's using Metronome! Hector breaks out of its trance with a huge Giga Impact, slamming hard into Psycha! What a blow! And Hector sure looks tired, like it's rapidly running out of energy! Psycha bounces back up to fire a final Psyshock at Hector, who falls stiff on its back, motionless. Psycha leaps for joy and spins around to witness the pride on deadfox081's face, and what a look it is...

...

...

...

Until Hector crawls back to its feet and sneaks up behind Psycha with a nasty Double-edge, Knocking it unconscious! Hector was still in it! Incredible! It held on with 1 HP and was able to get up to deliver the final blow before draining itself completely of energy and fainting! The audience is stunned, simply stunned, at the events. In any case, The match is a TIE!

Whether or not Hector stole the juicebox, or whether or not the juicebox gave Hector enough extra energy to pull off such a surprise upset, will never be determined. What we did determine today, though, is that through sheer willpower, one can overcome the odds, and that deadfox081 has to pay for the damaged lawn and the Daycare Lady's medical bills :(

--------------------

Action 1:

Psycha: Psychic (14 damage, -6 energy, crit fails, SpD drop fails)
Hector: Metronome --> Giga Impact (18 damage, -17 energy, crit fails)

Action 2:

Psycha: Psyshock (17 damage, -5 energy, crit fails)
Hector: Double-edge (15 damage, -3 energy, crit fails, KO, faints)

Most epic ending ever.

GG TO BOTH!

deadfox081: 2 TC
  • Puncha the TIMBURR: 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC, 1 KOC
  • Lanca the KARRABLAST: 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC, 1 KOC
  • Psycha the SOLOSIS: 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC, 1 KOC
Frosty: 2 TC
  • Saria the BUDEW: 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC
  • Canas the ZORUA: 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC, 1 KOC
  • Hector the MUNCHLAX: 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC, 2 KOC
Korski: 6 RC

Epic indeed.

Shouldn't both Solosis and Munchlax get +1KOC? Munchlax did defeat it and Solosis was the last one that hit it before the...uh..."suicide".

Nevertheless, Great Game and Awesome Reffing!

(also, saria is a budew)

lol sorry about the Sunkern thing (/trying not to mix info between reff'd battles).

I actually don't know about the KOC thing. It does make sense that Solosis should get it, now that you mention it, so I'll edit in the KOC. If someone comes along and argues against that, we'll take it from there. Thanks!
