BW OU - Annihilation team

Yo everyone, this is my new team I created a week ago and was trying it out on the PO Smogon server and it got me peaked at 1300 and I'm sure it can get even higher but I can't think of any improvements without unbalancing the team so I hope you'll help me!

@ Life Orb ///// EV's: 128HP / 128SpA / 252Spe
Nature:Timid

Trait:Levitate

Moveset:
  • Substitute
  • Pain Split
  • Shadow Ball
  • Focus Blast
Classic SubSplit Gengar. Shadow Ball and Focus Blast for perfect type coverage,Pain Split as a healing variant and Sub to avoid statuses and other things like that.Biggest threat to Gengar is ofcourse Scizor with BP and Pursuit,in that case i just have to predict the move and hopefuly switch to aviod bullet punch or Sub to aviod the OHKO.If I manage to switch I mainly switch into Jirachi and do a Fire Punch or Body Slam depending which pokes my opponet has left.

385.gif
@ Leftovers/////EV's: 96Hp / 252Def / 52Atk / 108SpD
Nature:Impish

Trait:Serene Grace

Moveset:
  • Body Slam
  • Fire Punch
  • Stealth Rock
  • Wish
My defensive wall and team supporter.I love the 60% percent paralysis chance on Body Slam + some decent damage on things it's not resisted by,so I choose it rather than T-Wave.Fire Punch is mainly for Scizor and other Rachi's + it has a good burn chance.Stealth Rock gets in later in game and Wish in last place for support.I gave him 108SpD so he can survive some non-boosted Sp Attacks and 52 in attack which mostly OHKO's Sczior without any Defensive EV investment.

@ Leftovers ///// EV's: 252HP / 252Spe / 4SpD
Nature:Timid

Trait:Levitate

Moveset:
  • Substitute
  • Calm Mind
  • Dragon Pulse
  • Thunder Wave
One of my favourite,SubCM Latias. If he manages to set up behind a sub raping teams with it ain't a problem.Everyone knows the power of this set,if played correctly of course.I was thinking of replacing T-Wave with HP Fire for Jirachi's and Skarmory's which like to switch into my Dragon Pulse.I outspeed non scarfed Latios and OHKO with Dragon Pulse. If a physical sweeper tries to kill me with Dark(mostly Payback Conkeldurr) move I switch into Scrafty unless it's a irritating Conkeldurr which kills my Scrafty with a freaking Mach Punch. So yeah, Conkeldurr is one of the things my team doesen't like playing against. This is where I thought of replacing T-Wave with Psyhic but haven't tried it yet.I hope you'll suggest me what's better.

560.gif
@ Lum Berry ///// EV's: 4Hp / 252Atk / 252Spe
Nature:Jolly

Trait:Moxie

Moveset:
  • Drain Punch
  • Dragon Dance
  • Crunch
  • Ice Punch
Definetly my fav Poke this generation.Has the power to do a 6-0 after 3 DD's.This guy brought me like nearly half the wins I have made,it's a freaking beast! If he manages to set up on something, mostly supportive Pokes like Bronzong,Jirachi or things like that the game is pretty much over.STAB Drain Punch and Crunch hit everything hard even after 1 DD. Ice Punch is for Gliscor and the dragons. It's immune to Psyhic so I can freely switch into him from Gengar or Terrakion if I predict a Psyhic move, and also I can switch into Gengar if I predict a Fighing move, which makes a great synergy between them.I choose Moxie over Shed Skin cuz free Atk boost is great, and Scrafty mostly OHKO's after few DD's.Lum Berry to cure the status problem. The problem,Conkeldurr again, with Bulk Up,Mach Punch,Drain Punch and Payback...

479s%20WF.gif
@ Choice Scarf ///// EV's: 4Hp / 252SpA / 252Spe

Nature:Modest

Trait:Levitate

Moveset:
  • Volt Switch
  • Trick
  • Hydro Pump
  • Will'O'Wisp
My Trick lead, which turned out to be pretty awesome.Nothing except Draco Meteor coming of Latios or Hydreigon(which is never ever seen as a lead...) can't OHKO this guy and he can lock them into the move switch out or cripple them with will'o'wisp. Most leads I meet are Deoxys-S,Politoed(rain teams),Ninetales(Sun teams...),D-Nite's and for the sand teams it always depends. All of them get Scarfed and fu**** up.Sometimes I Trick scarf for scarf, but in that case I just switch out into something else.STAB Hydro Pump does decent damage to everything it's not resisted by,Volt Switch gets Skarmory to 15% most of the time and does huge damage to non SpDef Politoed. Will'o'Wisp cripples the annoying Ferrothorn which likes switching into me.

639.gif
@ Choice Scarf ///// EV's: 252Spe / 252Atk / 4Hp
Nature:Jolly

Trait:Justified

Moveset:
  • Stone Edge
  • Close Combat
  • Earthquake
  • X-Scissor
My revenge killer.Jolly with a Scarf reaches 542 Speed(I think, something around that) and nothing can outspeed it if it's not boosted or a Deoxys-S. STAB Stone Edge OHKO's D-Nite,Mence and Volcarona, which I mostly switch into. STAB Close Combat hits everything pretty hard.Earthquake as a filler and X-Scissor to kill Latias and Latios along with some other things.Bullet Punch Scizor can OHKO him along with Mach Punch Conkeldurr, which is pretty irritating for this team.In those cases I switch into Jirachi and spam Body Slam or Fire Punch till they switch out.

That would be it,I'll maybe upload the threat list, but just maybe ^^

Hey Drake :D Keep in mind that if you were to switch Thunder Wave on Latias to Hp Fire it would handle Scizor, an all too common switch in on Latias, also maybe switch Choice Scarf on Terrakion to Choice Band? It hits like a F***cking truck! Stone Edge 2HKOs Skarmory, and CC hits hard too. Im suggesting this because Rotom-W can be your revenge killer because imo I only trick the scarf if something is giving me a bit of bother for example Blissey/Chansey and other walls. And my last suggestion is that if you take WoW off Rotom-W and put HP Fire on it, you could perhaps put recover on Latias in place of Thunder Wave. :]

Hey Drake.

First off, Jirachi really isn't that good of a physical wall, so I would change Rotom-W to the defensive set. Terrakion already fills the scarf role anyway. The spread for Rotom-W is 112 HP / 252 SAtk / 144 Speed. Also, replace Trick with Pain Split.

I really don't see why you have Thunder Wave on Latias. Since Scizor can hinder the sweeping capability of your Scrafty, but mainly the effectiveness of Terrakion and Gengar, I would run Hidden Power Fire over Thunder Wave. Also, run Recover over Thunder Wave, as a bulky set up pokemon such as Latias really appreciates the recovery.

Now, Rotom-W cannot handle all defensive threats, especially powerful dragons. Therefore, replace Gengar with a Skarmory to help Rotom-W defensively, as Gengar does not really do too much for your team. Skarmory would also give you Spikes support.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Speed
Impish Nature
-Spikes
-Whirlwind
-Roost
-Brave Bird

Finally, change Jirachi to the standard specially defensive set, as this will greatly help you against pokemon such as Latios, which can otherwise destroy your team. The spread for this Jirachi is 252 HP / 224 SDef / 32 Speed. Replace Fire Punch for Iron Head, as without Protect, you can at least attempt to flinch hax slower pokemon in order to guarantee recovery.

Good Luck.

Hi there, Drake. I have few suggestions to help you.

Overall, I can say that your team is well-made. I think there is a good coverage and synergy.

BUT, I also see that there are two Scarfers in your team. That's a lot, I think! I recommand you to change Terrakion set with this one (-If you want to keep the Scarf, you can but this set allows you a lot-);
639.gif

Terrakion @Air Balloon / Life Orb
Ability : Justified
Nature : Jolly
EVs : 252 Attack / 252 Spd / 4 HP
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake / Rock Polish
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge

I like the use of Will-O-Wisp.. If you wan, you can run Thunderbolt, Hidden Power Ice (in combinaison of the other Electrik move) or even Hidden Power Fire (against Scizor, Ferrothorn, .. but Rain Dance is omnipresent with Sand Storm) - I said this options because of the Scarf! If you really want the W-o-W one, it works too. And, try this spread, 100 EV HP; 252 EV SpA; 156 Spd because it allows you more bulk after the Trick.

For Jirachi, use a normally ''Special Defense'' oriented.. for the win :p. Here is the set;
385.gif

Jirachi @Leftovers
Ability : Serene Grace
Nature : Careful
EVs : 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spd
-Stealth Rock
-Thunder-Wave / Body Slam
-Iron Head
-Wish

Now, Gengar.. OMG, why this spread? I think it's strange because that doen't allow you to benefit of Pain Split. And, the Focus Blast isn't that powerful with these Evs.

Scrafty is a beast but he is ugly :3. Moxie is good but I prefer Shed Skin.. I use it with Leftovers. The principle is simple : you start to set up on the opponen't face and if he gives you a poisoned, paralyzed, burned or even a sleeping (I know it doesn't exist in the real life ;'p) present; you stay here and you wait to be heal (1/3 chance is awesome :D). THEN, you start sweeping.

For Latias,
_ I think you could run Recover over Thunder-Wave. Or, as you haven't any Pseudo-Hazer in your team, why not try Roar over Thunder-Wave. In all cases, Recover must be here!
_ For Conkeldurr, you have Roar in the first set, but if you want a more offensive set, here it is;
380.gif

Terrakion @Life Orb
Ability : Levitate
Nature : Timid
EVs : 252 SpA / 252 Spd / 4 HP
-Recover
-Psychic / Psychock
-Draco Meteor
-Surf / Thunderbolt / Dragon Pulse / Hidden Power Fire

THREATS; I've recommand changes but I didn't say your threats.
. In Rain Dance, Toxicroak could be a problem for you, but you have Jirachi, Rotom-W and Terrakion that can help you.
. As you said before, Conkeldurr can be a problem.. But Trick Rotom-W and Latias.
. Volcarona could be VERY annoying after one set up, I don't know what you can do. Just Terrakion can kill it :3.

I've put three threats because I didn't search far ;p. If anyone find, it will fill my short list ;D.

I hope I could help you & if you want a question or you want to test the changes against me, send me a message :D.

Excadrill will 6-0 you in Sand without a single problem if its Life Orb with Rock Slide, specially if it switches in on Latias, who cant do jackshit to it as it sets up an SD and proceeds to destroy you. Choice Scarf Terrakion and Choice Scarf Rotom is, in my opinion, quite redundant, not only scarf decreased in utility because of guys like Excadrill and the super fast Sun Sweepers, but the power is just not enough, specially on Rotom considering you dont have Rain to support it. I really think you should change one of those guys, either replace them for another mon, or just change the set if you really want them to stay. For example, you can keep your Scarf Rotom and switch your Terrakion for a Gliscor or a Skarmory, Gliscor completely walls both Double Dance Terrakion and SD Excadrill, 2 big threats your team cant handle, without even mentioning defensive Jirachi, against who you rely on your own Jirachi to beat.

Your Jirachi set completely sucks. Without Rain you wont be walling shit, so I think youre probably better off by using a Calm Mind variant, since Gliscor/Skarmory will be taking care of Excadrill and Tyranitar. This will also give you a waaaay better Conkledurr check due to Psychic, since Gliscor/Skarmory may lose to it and your team is weak to it. The main problem with Jirachi is the moves to pick, Calm Mind and Wish or Substitute are a must, then you gotta pick between 3 moves. Psychic beats Conkledurr and fighting types which is something your team desperately needs, and Thunderbolt compliments it well, so you can probably go with that. Flash cannon also helps but your team has no problems with Tyranitar so you should be able to beat it one on one.

Now, once you do that the problem is if you add Gliscor, you will lose Stealth Rock, which is very bad. Skarmory gives you both Stealth Rock and Spikes, but if you go with Gliscor youll have to find a way to fit SR somewhere. Actually if you go with Gliscor youre probably better off by using Special Defensive Jirachi with SR, since they compliment each other pretty well. Its just like your set, but you will run Iron Head over Fire Punch, and a loooot of Special Defense.

Your Latias set is horrible, its not doing shit besides sitting there hoping to get Paralyses, as Tyranitar will still fuck it up, Scizor will also fuck it up, etc. Latias should only be used in a team if you a) need Roar support real bad for hazard damage, or b) to lure in Tyranitar and kill it by surprise, otherwise youre better off with Latios. First one doesnt count since you dont have any layers (unless you add Skarmory, but still), and second one doesnt apply as you dont even have Weather of your own and you want Tyranitar alive so you can set up on it with your Scrafty. You can probably change your Latias for something like Latios or hell even a Spinner like Starmie. They both give you speed, both give you strong special attacks, and both can fuck shit up once Layers are up. Just pick whichever, slap a Life Orb on it, and spam your main move (Draco Meteor and Hydro Pump respectively). Latios Draco Meteor will OHKO Conkledurr, while Starmie will do the same if Rain is up, something your team desperately needs.

You could always try gallade over scrafty...resisting fighting instead of being weak to it is huge...yeah youll have 3 psychics but only one is ttar weak so it doesnt matter...the ghost weakness doesnt matter either since scrafty isnt taking on gengar anyway..and galladw gets shadow sneak
