Sorry this took so long to get up, but without further ado, we have a Doubles match between Arcanite and rewindman, who are anxiously waiting at...a pond. Cool, well let's meet the teams:

Arcanite, Edge, Gilgamesh, and Barret Wallace

Servine (M) (Edge)

Musical Theme: Troian Beauty

Nature:
Rash: Adds One Rank to Special Attack; Subtracts One Rank From Special Defense

Type:
Grass: Grass STAB; Immunity to Leech Seed and Worry Seed. 50% reduction in status effect chance of oncoming "powder" attacks. More mobile in areas with strong natural light sources. Superior senses in tall grass and forest areas. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus.

Abilities:

  • Overgrow: (Innate) When this Pokemon’s HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any grass attack is increased by two (2). (eg Giga Drain goes from 8 to 10, Solarbeam from 12 to 14)
  • Contrary: (DW) (Can be enabled) This Pokemon's unique structure reverses stat changes it recieves in battle, both from its attacks and the opponents. At the end of the round, stat changes will still increase/decrease toward 0. (Not yet Active)

Type:
Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves. Superior reaction time in close quarters.

Abilities:

  • Guts: (Innate) This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.
  • No Guard: (Innate) This Pokemon has an immense confidence from perfecting each of its attacks, giving them all perfect accuracy. Resultingly it feels it can weather every strike, and will not dodge an attack even if ordered to. Only when a OHKO move is issued by the opponent does sense return, and the Pokemon acts normally. Additionally even with their extra skill, the power and exhaustion involved in using OHKO moves prevents them from being benefitted by No Guard, they will have their normal accuracy.
  • Steadfast: (DW) (Innate) If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference. This speed boost is maintained at the end of each round. (Not yet active)

rewindman, Bonnie, and Clare:

Sneasel [Bonnie] (Female)
Nature: Adamant (+ to Attack; - from Special Attack)
Type: Dark/Ice
Dark: Dark STAB; Immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.
Ice: Ice STAB; immune to freezing and Sheer Cold, no vision loss or damage in Hail or snowstorm conditions, perfectly accurate and 30% Protect breaking Blizzard in Hail. Superior senses and mobility in frozen caves and other frigid arenas.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Inner Focus
Type: Innate
When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.

Ability 2: Keen Eye
Type: Innate
This Pokemon has extremely good vision and cannot have its accuracy lowered by an opponent through any means (including accuracy lowering attacks, Smogs, Hazes, Fog, etc.). Its attacks are still affected by an opponent’s evasion and the Pokemon's own accuracy.

Ability 3 (DW): Pickpocket
Type: Innate
This Pokemon's mischievous nature and greed make it very effective at pawning off an opponents item. If this Pokemon has no item and either it or the opposing Pokemon strikes with a contact attack, their item is stolen and becomes the held item of this Pokemon. Pokemon with Pickpocket can be commanded to swap items with an ally, and only they will need to expend an action to do so because of their swifter sleight of hand.

Type: Ghost
Ghost: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.

Abilities:
Levitate: (Trait) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading Ground moves like Bulldoze, Dig, Earthquake, and Magnitude. Other Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

The battle begins, but curiously, it isn't Bonnie, but Clare who takes the initiative to act first. As if by mystical premonition, Clare predicts some foul, indirect combat coming from her foes. She looks to Barret, and sticks out her tongue, enraging him with her Taunt, and subsequently preventing him from making it a Sunny Day. Gilgamesh, meanwhile, looks curiously at the Sneasel on the other side...surely she should have made a move by now...no matter, Gilgamesh loosed a Dynamicpunch right into Bonnie's face with a force that could strip paint off a tank. Disoriented from the skull-crushing, Bonnie forgot all about her Counter and hit herself in her confusion!

Not going to let an opportunity to attack drift away again, Bonnie began digging...well, trying to dig. Her previously injured head did her no favors, and she wound up hurting herself again when she tumbled head over heels trying to gain her footing! Clare's response to her partner's misfortune was to incite more rage, this time directing her signature Taunt toward Gilgamesh. Was it really wise to annoy Gilgamesh after that devastating strike? Regardless, it was Barret's turn, and without any hesitation, he turned to the floundering Bonnie and barbecued her with his Flamethrower. Gilgamesh didn't appear to do anything but sit, struggling to try to put up a Light Screen while his mind was blinded with fury!

While Bonnie sat down a bit, waiting to try another counterattack after being freed of her confusion, Clare decided to get revenge by confusing the opponents! She produced a bright light, and suddenly, Barret was stumbling a bit from the Confuse Ray. Not enough, however, to keep him from roasting Bonnie again, who fell to his Flamethrower! This left Gilgamesh, who raced up and punched the air as he tried to Dynamicpunch a ghost. Oh intangibility!

Still feeling a bit dazed, Barret began charging a Solarbeam, cursing Clare that he wasn't able to have the sun oput from last round. With her comrade downed, and her opponent's still looking fresh, Clare mounted an offensive with hopes of breaking down at least one of her foes, Hexing Barret Wallace. Gilgamesh decided that is was best for the squad if Barret took all the damage for the rest of the round, and prevented any tricky business by Encoring Clare's Hex! With Clare already under pressure to continue battling on with Barret (and not exactly doing phenomenal damage), injury was added to insult (*rimshot*) when Barret was able to overcome his confusion and launch the now readied Solarbeam.

Clare had no choice but to continue the onslaught with another Hex, before getting burned to a cinder by Barret's Flamethrower, who didn't seem at all phased by the ghouls lightly spoken curses. Gilgamesh suddenly snapped into action, gaining the Foresight to be able to land his earthly moves on his supernatural opponent. What he could be planning, I can only guess...

One final time, Clare uttered her Hex while watching on helplessly as Barret charged his Solarbeam. Her worries were only beginning, though. Gilgamesh began charging towards her, ready to strike her down. The spectre appeared a bit confused...hadn't that big lug learned his lesson last time? She stood confidently in the face of the Machoke's Dynamicpunch, before Gilgamesh's right hand splattered her all over the wall with illusion-breaking force. The stunned and broken ghost could only sit and wait for the warm light of the abyss to take her away, and it came in the form of Barret's Solarbeam finishing her off!
