TEAM SPORK

I built this team around being able to man-handle a lot of physical attackers and also having a few builds that are unexpected, which often land surprise KOs on important pokemon. I have never done an RMT before and I know this team should be tweaked, so here goes.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Body Slam
- Iron Head
- Wish
Good ol' Rachi. Never know what you're gonna get when you see one on an opposing team. This jirachi is just fantastic at soaking up special attackers bar heatran, ninetales, and other fire attackers of the like. I don't get as much use out of Wish as I would want to, seeing as how my opponent always switches to a counter after i switch in Jirachi. However, one of jirachi's goals is to try and body slam the switch in, a lot of the time a landorus, a wish can be done succesfully if they are already paralyzed and you don't get unlucky when using iron head on the second turn. U-turn is good for scouting and breaking heatran's air balloon on the switch. Always a good tornadus switch in, provided they don't have u-turn, and also latios doesn't have shit on this little guy.

Mew@ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Psychic
- Roost
- Taunt
Jirachi's partner in crime, mew is another pokemon where opponents aren't sure what they're in for. This mew can switch in with ease on most non SE attacks and counter with a will-o-wisp before roosting. tyranitars and scizors hoping to rack up some damage get burned and are majorly set back for the rest of the game, leaving latios some more room to breathe. taunt is great for ferrothorn, forretress, and for not letting sweepers set up too much. most can get off one boost due to Mews unboosted speed, but proper prediction will make sure one boost isn't a problem. I chose psychic as my only attack as it's STAB and can take out the ever annoying brelooms, tentacruels, terrakions, and can get good neutral damage on those that dont resist it.

Breloom(M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Mach Punch
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Stone Edge

This is a set that I have been playing around with with some good effect. choice band bullet seeds will mess up any pokemon that doesnt 4x resist it. Gliscors always eager to switch in get close to being OHKO and are now immediately on the defensive. Stone edge will OHKO tornadus-t on the switch in, but still takes a lot of damage from bullet seed if it decides to land more than a couple hits. Mach punch will get surprise OHKOs on heatran and terrakion, and helps with lategame sweeping if he manages to survive. Spore is something i don't use often as most opponents expect the spore first move and try and sac a weather inducer which can be OHKO'd anyways. I have enough coverage though, so for now it stays.

Latios (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psyshock
- Trick

Scarf latios is the MVP of this team. I can't tell you how many surprise OHKOs it has racked up from throwing out a draco meteor on boosted dragonites/mences, full HP tornadus/landorus, and other fast and somewhat frail pokemon of the like. The ever-so-common ferro on a rain team can be subdued for the rest of the match with trick, same goes for blissey, and also annoying bulky waters such as jellicent later in the game when scarf isn't needed.

Heatran (F) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock

Offensive heatran seems to fit best on this team, and his typing also fits in well. I have one pokemon to absorb stab attacks on both sun and rain teams. Rocks is on this heatran since Donphan was replaced, and heatran causes so many switches, it's often easy to get up rocks when opponents see i'm balloon'd and expect a powerful attack to come their way. Heatran is still heatran, so this set is pretty self explanatory.

Gastrodon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
- Recover

Suggested as a replacement for Donphan, Gastrodon adds better defensive synergy and helps rain teams majorly. STAB rain boosted water attacks and 100% accuracy thunders both have nothing against this guy. He also gives this team the option to toxic stall out a self pokemon that might give me trouble late-game if my pokemon don't have enough oomph to take it down.

In closing, this team will be a complete bitch to fight when you have good prediction. Most of what winning a match is against a good opponent is the mindgames of trying to get that super effective attack or whathaveyou. I am mainly posting this team so i can get some constructive criticism on it, so please, throw some ideas at me!

Actually, Technician Breloom is released.

Anyway, first thing I noticed is a huge weakness to Volcarona. Air Balloon Heatran theoretically helps, but if that balloon is broken and Volcarona has HP Ground, it OHKOes literally every single member of your team after a boost. Scarf Latios simply can't hurt it. So, I recommend you use a Scarf Terrakion over Scarf Latios. Scarf Terrakion outspeeds Volcarona after a boost and OHKOes it with Stone Edge.

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf | Justified
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe | Jolly Nature
Close Combat | Stone Edge | X-Scissor | Earthquake

For some reason, I can't see Donphan doing enough to Dragonite/Salamence or other Dragon-types and the Therians. Especially Tornadus-T, I'm pretty sure it lives a non-STAB Ice Shard and OHKOes with Hurricane. It simply sweeps through everything but Jirachi, who won't like repeated Rain-boosted Hydro Pumps, powerful physical attackers, and hates Dugtrio, so I wouldn't rely on it too much. So, I would just simply recommend Mamoswine over it.

Mamoswine @ Life Orb | Thick Fat
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe | Jolly Nature
Ice Shard | Earthquake | Superpower | Icicle Crash

Ice Shard revenges Dragon-types, Tornadus-T, and whatnot, far more effectively than Donphan can.

Of course, now you'll need Stealth Rock. You have a pretty offensive Heatran, so I don't see Roar doing much at all. I would use HP Ice over Roar to further help against Dragons such as Dragonite and Salamence, and then use Stealth Rock over Protect because you really don't need Protect. You're also missing 4 EVs on Heatran. I would just go ahead and put those into Special Defense. Also, on CB Breloom, Rock Slide is stupid. Just use Low Sweep or Stone Edge. I personally prefer Low Sweep due to its ability to slow down many switch-ins and help Breloom out against them. It also receives a Technician and STAB boost, so it will hit very hard.

EDIT: @ Below rate: I don't see how those suggestions help with any of his Lucario problems. If anything, what would help is running a Nasty Plot Mew over his current set, with Aura Sphere for hitting Lucario super effectively. @ OP, if you're interested here's the set:

Mew @ Life Orb | Synchronize
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe | Timid Nature
Nasty Plot | Psyshock | Aura Sphere | Shadow Ball

Psyshock > Psychic because that allows it to bypass Blissey and Chansey, Aura Sphere hits the aforementioned Lucario (Mew is bulky enough to take boosted ExtremeSpeed), and Shadow Ball hits Reuniclus.

Hey,

Nice team man, love the use of Mew here. It looks like you struggle against offensive rain teams, as none of your team likes taking Rain Boosted STAB's coming off the likes of Starmie and Gyarados, and your 2 resist's to water can't take much anyway and are usually hit with a coverage move. I saw a large weakness to Trick Room Reuniclus, as after a Trick Room he outspeeds your whole team and the only pokemon you have that can stop it is Jirachi, and Reuniclus won't be trying to beat you until thats gone anyway. Physical attacker Mamoswine also looks threatening as all of your team are manhandled by it besides mew, who is a guaranteed 2HKO after SR if Mamoswine has a choice band and uses Earthquake, and still has a small chance to be 2HKO'd if Mamoswine opts for Life Orb. Also, note a weakness to Swords Dance Lucario with Crunch, as once he's at +2 he will happily rip through your team with his priority for Breloom and Latios, and his sheer power for the rest of your team.

Some of your sets are a bit off, in the terms that they don't suit what your set's EV's and other moves are bulit to accomplish. Looking at Heatran and Donphan, I saw some move swaps that could be made in between the 2 that would make them more effective at what their sets are tailored to do. If you want to use Offensive Heatran, Roar and Protect are 2 moves that are not recommended, due to the fact that you don't have the bulk to abuse roar, and protect is near useless as it doesn't really allow you do to much on an offensive set. On Heatran, use Stealth Rock > Roar and Hidden power [ICE] > Protect. These switches stop Heatran from being set up bait for numerous Dragons in OU, as your current set is walled by all the levitating dragons found in the tier. The change bolsters his offensive presence and utility by giving him the abilty to lay rocks.

With Heatran now carrying Stealth Rock, Donphan is freed up so it can carry a coverage move to further abuse the fact that you invested in his Attack to have a good damage output. Use Stone Edge > Stealth Rock for the fabled StoneEdge coverage that hits the majority of Pokemon for at least neutral damage, and has massive damage output that will dent a lot of things that expect your Donphan to be the standard Defensive Rapid Spin set.

Looking at your problems to rain, I saw a pokemon that could slot right in and further aid your defensive core by providing them with a water immunity, and way to spread Toxic to Special sweepers who don't care about burn as much. Using Specially Defensive Gastrodon > Donphan would be a great switch for your team. Although I gave Donphan advice just before, your team doesn't really need Rapid Spin support considering the fact that you have no members weak to Stealth Rock, and Spikes and Toxic Spikes aren't very common right now, Donphans rapid spin support isn't necessary for your team. Gastrodon offers 2 very nice immunities that block the 100% accurate Thunder and the Water boosted attacks found in rain, both which could help your team out immensely. Gastrodon can also stomach a Hurricane or 2 which makes it a great counter to rain, Ferrothorn aside in the current meta. Gastrodon still lets you retain the STAB Earthquake, which is always nice.

GL with the team (BTW @ above rater, you can't fix every threat to a team without opening it up to other things. I simply made the changes that wouldn't compromise his team and leave it open to even bigger threats)
Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Nature: Sassy (+SpD -Spe)
Trait: Storm Drain
EV's: 248HP/ 8Def/ 252SpD
Scald/ Earthquake/ Toxic/ Recover

Hey LucaroarkZ, looking at the changes you suggested I feel like I would have many more problems than before. Rain teams are an even bigger problem now considering that half my team gets hit SE by water and only squishy breloom is there to take half damage. It feels like a lot of the team synergy is gone, especially making mew offensive instead of an important defensive pivot. Also, those same 3 pokes weak to water are also getting hit super effectively by fighting moves, and now mew isn't bulky enough to take those hits. 2/3 of them are also weak to bullet punch scizor.
