Round One
The battlers meet at the field, shake hands, and begin. Topher sends out his frog, Frogger the Poliwag, to its home arena, but making avoid its friends and family for now. Ute responds by sending out Merle the Purrloin, somewhat confused by the new environment.
Frogger gets the first move off, and begins to swirl it belly, around, and around, and around…zzz.
Woah, what?! Oh, right. Sorry, must've fell asleep, like Merle did. Anyway, Frogger now begins another dance, but this one is less hypnotic, and causes rain to start falling. All of the frogs come out, but they make sure to avoid this battle. Suddenly, Merle disappears into the shadows caused by the rain clouds, only to reappear next to Frogger and to hit him. Merle disappears once again, and reappears back where it began.
Frogger, annoyed at being hit, shoots a large amount of boiling water at Merle, increasing its volume with the rain causing the water levels to build up. When it reaches Merle, it even hits it in the perfect spot — its weak spot. This pushes Merle back significantly, but she manages to insult Frogger, saying its rain and its home are both useless and pointless, despite knowing otherwise.
After this first round, only Topher has achieved what he would have liked to, and Ute is falling behind. What will Ute do to make a comeback while ordering second?

Round Two
We're back at the Frog Pond, for some more of this battle. Frogger moves quickly, although no faster than it was outside of the rain, and shoots a pulse of water at Merle, who is hurt more by the rain being caught by the fast-moving water. Merle makes a wave of lightning shoot down from the newly-formed rain clouds to hit and paralyse Frogger, something she tried to do in the last round. How much of a difference it makes is anyone's guess.
Merle, even though it is faster now, moves at a speed impossible for its species, despite being a fast species. She approaches Frogger, and hits him, not very aggressively, and retreats back, all in a couple of seconds. This swift attack causes Frogger to retreat slightly, but losing any hope of an attack for the next few seconds.
Merle disappears into the shadows again, similar to in the last part of this battle. Frogger is still not ready for these, apparently, and is hit by the attack, surprising him. This time, however, he continues to battle, shooting another pulse of water at Merle, knocking her around, but not enough to confuse her.
Now, Ute has achieved his (or her :X) primary goal of paralysing Merle, but was the cost too high? Can topher4167 stop Ute without any difficulty?

Round Three
Merle is beginning to get tired, so she yawns at Frogger, trying to request a break. But Frogger shows no mercy. He uses the powers of fire and ice to destroy his opponents, as a real Pokemon should. He floods Merle with torrents of boiling water, a colossal amount, burning her, along with much of the frog pond (also healing the other frogs). Straight after, once the water had cooled down enough, he shot a beam of ice, to freeze Merle and let its burns defeat it. Frogger and topher4167 are victorious!
