Arena: It's basically a purpose built Pokemon arena with a difference: It has an Oasis in the middle of the arena. The Surface of the arena is sand & diggable, while the actual semi-lake that the oasis is positioned near the middle of the arena, to the right of where the challenger stands. On the other side are the grandstands. The arena has the same dimensions as a normal arena. The default weather is Clear & the only Weather that can take effect is Sun & Sandstorm.

Summary: Arena with Oasis, Diggable sandy surface, Oasis positioned near the middle of arena. Default weather: Clear, it can never hail or rain here.

Alright, some straightforward stuff. Random, I need you starter. After that, I need Rediamond's starter and its actions. Random can then declare actions after that. Let's make this a clean, fun battle. Good Luck Both!

Okay, welcome Rediamond to this arena, & good luck for this battle. Anyways, I summon Sleast to the field in Attack Mode!

Go, Locke! (Nuzleaf)

Start the round with a Fake Out, and then follow up with Bullet Seed and Extrasensory.

(Reveals a faint grin) Sleast, It's pretty obvious we won't be able to do anything first, so take the Fake Out like a man, then try to knock out the Bullet Seed with Ice Beam, hoping to do damage, & finish off by putting Locke on a timer by inflicting Toxic Poison.

Summary of Actions:
Take Fake Out > Ice Beam @ Bullet Seed > Toxic

The match starts out on a hot, sunny day, and both pokemon are very eager to fight. Nuzleaf starts out with a strong fake out, causing Shellos to flinch. Then, Nuzleaf fires seeds from its mouth, 3 bullet seeds, to be precise. Shellos however, is prepared for this, and uses an Ice Beam to try and freeze the seeds. It knocks one seed out of the air, and 33% of the ice beam manages to hit Nuzleaf.

Nuzleaf uses an Extrasensory to mentally attack Shellos, and this burst of psychic energy flinches Shellos. The round then ends with shellos angered that it could only use one attack this round.

Sorry for the short reffing, this round was pretty boring :(. The pokemon are now 15 feet apart after being thrown away from each other by bullet seed and ice beam. There is a pool of water about 20 feet away from the pokemon, so it will take one action to move to the pool unhindered. Random is up next.

Anyways, Sleast, get into it & start off by inflicting the Toxic Poison you were supposed to inflict before if the hax gods didn't intervene, then make your way into the water & dive into it. Then finish off by Recovering off some lost health.

Summary of actions:
Toxic > Get into the water > Recover

Come on Sleast, let's make some inroads into this guy! Just think, if we can beat this guy, we can take control of the game & help out the team a ton!

Two can play the passive damage game.

Start out with a Leech Seed to make up for the Toxic, at least temporarily before he starts shooting nasty Hidden Powers and Ice Beams *shudders*. After that, use Bullet Seed to deal some damage, followed by a Razor Wind to blast him out of the water or deal massive damage.

This round starts with both pokemon rushing each other and exchanging status. Shellos uses a Toxic on the leaf demon, while Nuzleaf uses a Leech Seed on the sea slug. Attempting a hit-and-run strategy, Shellos runs away from Nuzleaf towards the water. However, the slug can not escape the wrath of the forest monster. Nuzleaf uses a Bullet Seed, and three explosive projectiles fly from the mouth of Nuzleaf. The force of the seeds sends Shellos flying into the pool of water.

Now resting in its natural domain, Shellos tends to its wounds with a Recover, restoring some health lost to it from the Bullet Seeds. Nuzleaf, after preparing the winds, sends out a Razor Wind towards the oasis pool, and the winds sends Shellos flying out of the water, but fails to damage Shellos with the full might of the wind (50% of the max damage). However, the winds force Shellos out of its peace of mind, allowing Shellos to only recover 15 HP instead of the usual 20.

Nuzleaf will wake up on the first action of the next round due to its Early Bird. However, it will move last on the first action regardless of the speed or priority of Random's next pokemon or move, respectively. The pokemon will start 10 feet away from each other; Random, you can say where you want your pokemon to start (water, on the sane, in a tree, etc.). Random, I need your next pokemon and its actions, and Rediamond can declare actions next turn.

A new arrival, Gligar, is eager to make its mark on the battle. It starts out with a Swords Dance, boosting its damage dealing potential. Nuzleaf, however, wakes up early, and uses a Leech Seed to start healing off some toxic damage. Keeping with its reliable seeds, Nuzleaf uses something a little more lethal, and three Bullet Seeds get fired from its mouth. They all hit Gligar head-on.

Gligar responds with a powerful X-Scissor, slashing Nusleaf across its back. It falters, but lets itself fall. Nuzleaf then goes into a chill to try and restore some of its lost energy. Gligar doesn't let up, though, and smashes a U-Turn into Nuzleaf, doing even more damage to end up the round.

Nuzleaf, in a stroke of pure originality, uses another couple rounds of bullet seeds. The first volley sends out 2 seeds, which both strike gligar head-on. It retaliates with a score of acrobatic moves, hitting it for super effective damage. Nuzleaf tries to hit Gligar on its retreat, but one of its seeds misses gligar. Thankfully it launched five seeds from the start. Not to be outdone, though, gligar ends the round with an X-scissor, hitting Nuzleaf for quad damage and knocking it out, finally.

Sorry, I thought I'd posted. Only Slowgon thought otherwise...

Will-o-Wisp to burn, Ice Punch to damage, Shadow Ball to add some hurt.
If he isn't burned on action three, go for another will-o-wisp.

As another fine day in the desert begins, Haunter opens with a Will-o-wisp, inflicting a nasty burn on Gligar. Not discouraged, Gligar slashes Haunter with the power of the night; however, much of the potential damage was removed because of the burn. Gligar then gets damaged by the burn, and is momentarily stunned. Capitalizing on its golden opportunity, Haunter smashes Gligar with an Ice Punch. Haunter even manages to strike Gligar on its burn, dealing critical damage.

Gligar tries to regain some lost ground with an Acrobatic array of moves, but again the damage is cut by its nasty burn. Haunter finishes up with a Shadow Ball, but Gligar cuts right through it with a Night Slash. The Night slash reduces the damage done because shadow ball by 50%, while the slashes connect with and damage Haunter.

Wow, those ice punches only did 11 damage due to Gligar's obnoxiously high defense. However, most of gligar's damage was taken away because of the burn, resulting in a wash damage wise (Haunter took 21, Gligar 22). Good round though, both of you, keep up the good work. The pokemon are roughly 5 feet apart. Rediamond is up next.

This is why ASB burn is completely broken. I intend on convincing you fully of that. Anyways, let's go for the same strategy we used against Limewire's Gible. Ice Punch the burn to apply cold air directly to a burn (which hurts a lot), Shadow Ball, and Ice Punch the burn again. I will be extremely suprised if he survives.

Okay, apparently Capers knows how to get rid of a burn...

Alright, let's start by Hardening ourselves up & concealing the Burn. Then counter the Shadow Ball with another Night Slash, & let's finish up by Making our bodies Harder & mitigate any Ice Punch damage.

Haunter wants an evolution, so it prepares itself to do anything possible to get that KO counter. The ghostly pokemon begins with an Ice Punch. It tries to hit the burnt part of Gligar, but it turns around and hardens at the last second. However, by hardening, Gligar was not prepared for the Ice Punch, and gets slammed into the sand. Not caring about the location of Gligar, Haunter launches a Shadow Ball at the underground Gligar. It responds with a Night Slash, but it doesn't go for the ghost at all!

Instead, the attack meet up, and they both cancel each other from there. However, an Anime-esque explosion happens as the attack meet, blowing gligar out of the sand. Haunter finishes up with an Ice Punch, again aimed at the burn. However, it has smarten up, and anticipates another Harden. To counter, it detaches the icy fist and blindsides Gligar, both hitting the burn and scoring a Critical Hit. Gligar finally succumbs to its burn, and falls, fainted, to the sand.

Okay, Let's go with Stortamus the Hippopotas, & blanket the field in Sandstorm!

Let's open this by evolving into Hippowdon, & blocking any Will-O-Wisp that comes our way...If the ref approves...If not, just begin with a Curse, then go all out with a Mighty Crunch & finish up with Another Crunch. If at any time Cloak tries to burn you with WoW, fire a Sand attack at it. Knowing from my battle with Deck, when sand meets fire, Glassing results & it will almost certainly cripple Cloak.

Hippowdon(*) Stortamus (M)
Nature: Impish

Type:
Ground: Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings. Knock Down, Rock Slide, Sandstorm, and Stealth Rock have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

The flying gravel and rocks of Sandstorm will do two (2) damage per action to Pokemon that do not have hard bodies (Rock, Ground, and Steel-types) or the Sand Veil, Sand Force, or Sand Rush Abilities.

Sand Force (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon thrives in Sandstorm conditions, using the power of the swirling sand to augment its Rock, Ground, and Steel-typed attacks. Each of this Pokemon's Rock, Ground, and Steel-typed attacks will have two (2) added to their Base Attack Power. Pokemon with this ability are immune to Sandstorm damage.

Let's show this Ghost who's boss. Also, the reasoning for evolution is that since the battle started, Stortamus has gained all the EC necessary for evolution & the evolution was approved before Stortamus was summoned into this battle.
