2v2 Doubles.
DQ: 2 Days.
1 use of Rest/Recover etc, 5 chills
Arena: Dotted Hole

http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/kant...shtml#frlg-b1f

The Dotted Hole has five floors, each with a hole leading up and down. Going up or down a hole counts as an action, and the floors are about five feet thick - an Earthquake attack or a missed Focus Punch might break one! The entire cavern is made out of rock, so Dig attacks don't work.

Thus sets up a match between Bynine and Flora: we find ourselves today in a kind of natural tower, with both contestants starting off in the middle of the five floors. It is a 2v2 doubles, so both contestants will send out their only two Pokemon at the beginning of the match and whoever has none left first loses. The match will start off with Bynine posting his two Pokemon, after which Flora will post his and their actions, and finally Bynine will post his Pokemon's actions. The only other thing I will point out it that you should be careful, because the whole structure looks a bit unstable: you might end up breaking it up if you are too careless with your attacks ;)

Hmm, no Corsola. Unfortunately, I still have to use my Toxicroak... I would've been using my Croagunk if she didn't evolve throughout the entire time between the opening of the match and the starting of the match. If I use my other Pokemon + Duskull, that's an auto-loss for me.

I'm assuming how going up/down depends on your Speed, so if a Pokemon is faster before your Pokemon can move on that action, it will get hurt/statused/whatever before getting up/down, correct?

So here's what we're going to do. Garnet, be as mean as you can and Taunt Limebaka! You too, Mystic, be mean! With your faster Speed, send a crippling Will-O-Wisp toward Limebaka! That should like really mess him up! If it misses, try again.

If one of you (or both of you) get Encored by Konota, simply re-aim the Taunt and Will-O-Wisp at Konota. Otherwise, pummel Konota into submission! Garnet, give her two pieces of Stone Edges while Mystic, give her twice the power of Ice Beam! Also, I don't really care if you guys miss if Konota goes up or down a level, because if you do as I say, you guys will either cover up the hole that goes up or down with rocks and freeze the layer to prevent entry! Although... I have no idea how that's going to work in the future of the match.

Garnet: Taunt slow Limebaka - Stone Edge Konota - Stone Edge Konota

If Encored, re-aim Taunt at Konota.

Mystic: Will-O-Wisp Limebaka - Ice Beam Konota/Will-O-Wisp Limebaka if it missed last action (better not) - Ice Beam Konota

If Encored, re-aim Will-O-Wisp at Konota.
And, re-aim last Will-O-Wisp to the hole that leads upward to provide no entry!

Somewhat complicated arena + doubles = severe complications, hehe. I tried to not cover everything and give Bynine some space (like not chasing him down if he makes his Pokemon go up or down). Just null some of my alternatives/actions if Bynine can ignore them. =)

edit: ARGH LAG okay so I didn't get my abilities mentioned. Anticipation for Toxicroak and Levitate for Duskull.

Limebaka, begin with a Payback against Duskull. You'll be Taunted and perhaps even Burned but don't let that phaze you, just keep going! Then use Seed Bomb, again, on Duskull. Finish up with a Payback to the same offender.

Konota, you have a free turn; Encore Garnet while he's busy Taunting! Then fly up one of the holes, and crouch in front of it at an angle where you can fire off attacks, but don't look down on this turn! Finish by smashing Duskull with Shadow Ball!

Limebaka: Payback at Duskull - Seed Bomb at Duskull - Payback at Duskull
Konota:
Encore Garnet - fly up one of the holes, and crouch in front of it - Shadow Ball at Duskull

Also, Vital Spirit for Konota and Iron Thorns for Limebaka.

So finally the battle actually starts properly. It's been a long time, but the next updates should all come faster than this one, assuming my browser is kind to me for once. Anyway, Garnet and Konata start off the match together: Garnet uses Taunt on Limebaka, inciting a rage in him so that he can't help himself but attack for a while, but at exactly the same time Konata manages a weird series of movements that forced Garnet into an Encore, ensuring he won't be able to do much for a while. A while after this ridiculous display of speed, however, the other two catch up and Mystic sends a Will-o-wisp at Konata, which badly burns her, and Limebaka, who has so far just been taunted, uses Payback. It summons up all of its anger at the taunt and finally delivers the first real blow of the match in a Payback to Mystic, leaving not very much done and all of the spectators rather bored.

Next round, however, starts with Konata leaping up through the hole in between the floors, leaving her teammate alone on the third floor but safe for a minute using the rock of the building as cover. At the same time, Garnet again uses Taunt against Limebaka, inciting him into a rage also, but really just looking kind of silly doing all of those taunting movements again and again. Anyway, Mystic this round Ice Beams Konata, but because she is safely just on the floor above, a large amount of ice instead forms in and around the passageway between the floors, partially closing it up. Finally, Limebaka uses Seed Bomb on Mystic, knocking her back with the force of seed violently expelled from wherever it might manage to keep them. Lets not go there.

Finally, as Garnet uselessly continues his Taunting, Konata comes out near the hole and fires a Shadow Ball at Mystic through the ice, which Mystic is almost bowled over by, because of the force of the ball of shadow thrown at her. In responce, she again uses Ice Beam at Konata, who this time is hit full force by it now that she is not covered by the rock, because it pushes through the ice and just adds to it. Finally, Limebaka uses Payback on Mystic again for all of the horrible things that it hasn't done to him, but nonetheless it hits her quite hard.

There is ice in and around the hole between the third and fourth floors, and Kotana is trapped on the other side for the moment.

EDIT: There we go. Back with you, Bynine.

Wow, nice work, you two! They're really feeling the pain!

Limebaka
, just do what you did before - Payback, Seed Bomb, and Payback that Duskull!

Konota, you get on the offensive as well; Shadow Ball the Duskull until it goes down, then begin Earth Powering the Toxicroak!

Limebaka: Payback - Seed Bomb - Payback Duskull
Konota: Shadow Ball Duskull until it faints - Earth Power Toxicroak until turn ends

Okay girls, game plan!

PICK ON LIMEBAKA! (or soon enough.) Garnet approach Limebaka, take the shots as YOU'RE going to be right in front of her face delivering 3 Cross Chops! Mystic, hmm, actually, let's do something else. You see Konata up there trying to attack? Take the first Shadow Ball, hover upward toward Konata, and Disable it! That should teach her a lesson about balls! Then approach your friendly pal Garnet and use Skill Swap! This should lower the damage for future assaults for both of you girls! Afterward, finish up by firing an accurate Ice Beam at Limebaka if he hasn't fainted yet. Otherwise, aim it at Konata.

Garnet: Cross Chop - Cross Chop - Cross Chop (all on Limebaka)

Mystic: Get hit by Konata, float upward, and Disable (Shadow Ball) - Skill Swap (Garnet) - Ice Beam (Limebaka, but if fainted, aim at Konata)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So the next round begins by the fight breaking into two smal duels. Garnet runs off to the side, away from Konata, and starts to Cross Chop Limebaka. However, at the same time, Konata turns away from Garnet and fires a Shadow Ball at Mystic, which hits her hard. However, she keeps her composure and mentally Disables Konata's Shadow Ball, so that she is at least safe from it for a while. Limebaka, in the meantime, again uses Payback on Mystic, and despite Mystic again not having touched Limebaka, it does a lot of damage again.

Next, much like last round, Garnet stays where he is and keeps on Cross Chopping Limebaka. On the other side, however, Konata moves to use Shadow Ball on Mystic again, but somehow she just can't seem to hold it together. She just sort of moves around a bit looking hopeless, not really managing to do anything. Meanwhile, Mystic moves over to Garnet and uses Skill Swap on her partner so that they can both take their opponent's attacks better. Finally, Limebaka uses Seed Bomb on Mystic, still trying desperatly to just knock her out.

Finally, as the Pokemon all just ignore Konata vainly trying to do something up in the rafters, Garnet takes the intiative by using Cross Chop on Limebaka again. It is beginning to struggle after these repeated assaults, but it looks like it might at least survive into the next round... until Mystic sends a huge Ice Beam at Limebaka as well. Unfortunately, this proves to be all that Limebaka can stand, and it finally keels over before it can unleash a final attack. This leaves Flora up 2-1, and looking in a good position going into the next round!

There is ice in and around the hole between the third and fourth floors, and Kotana is trapped on the other side for the moment.

Game plan go!

Great job girls! Now let's see how to do this. Uhh, obviously we need to break that ice down then gain entrance. I think we have just the tools to do that!

Garnet, while you wait for Mystic to do the job, I want you to just chill out because you're not doing anything. Mystic, here's what you're going to do. Send a Will-O-Wisp upward and melt the ice! Afterward, both of you climb up to Floor 4 and begin your final assault! When up there, Stone Edge and Ice Beam, respectively! You got this in the bag, girls!

Garnet: Chill - Climb up to 4th floor - Stone Edge (Konata)

Mystic: Will-O-Wisp up to melt ice - Climb up to 4th floor - Ice Beam (Konata)

Konota, they're trying to do some tricky maneuvers, so you pull off some of your own. Encore Mystic's Will-O-Wisp, then shoot down to the first floor and Encore Garnet climbing up or chilling. Finish with an Energy Ball right at that Duskull.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We left off earlier with Limebaka out cold, off to the side on the third floor of our tower. Mystic and Garnet are now out for Konata, but Konata is able to respond to their commands better this round than last. The round begins this time with Garnet chilling off to the side while Konata waits in anticipation (ironically) for Mystic to move. She obliges, and as Mystic uses Will-o-wisp at the ice to melt it all and pave the way for an attack up to the higher floors, Konata takes the chance to Encore Mystic's Will-o-wisp so that she is so consumed she can't do anything else for a bit.

Then, Mystic and Garnet both go for the hole between the floors at exactly the same time, but with the force of gravity, Mystic manages to pull them both down to the bottom floor as Garnet tries to climb to the fourth floor. On the way down, Mystic tries to Encore Garnet's climbing motions but it doesn't really work all that well, because who could really be encored fully into something that wasn't an attack? While this happens, Mystic uses Will-o-wisp again thanks to the Encore.

Finally, after Garnet feels compelled to climb up one floor because of the Encore, Konata directs a powerful Energy Ball at Mystic, which passes through all of the rock and Garnet, who is just in the way, because it is made of pure energy. It hits its target, and Mystic responds with a Will-o-wisp directed nowhere in particular.

Konota, start by firing off an Energy Ball at Duskull and KOing it. Finally, we'll be one to one! Then that Toxicroak will probably start throwing some nasty Stone Edges when it comes down. Give it a Sand Attack immediately as soon as it comes down to your floor (right in the eyes!), then whip up a Tailwind and start performing some dodging maneuvers using the wind. Good luck!

Energy Ball at Duskull - Sand Attack - Tailwind

Yeah, so, Konata should stop stalling and stuff. =) Garnet, take a peek under Floor 2 and see Floor 1, where Konata is, but don't go under yet because I don't want you wasting an action! From there, Taunt because you're cool. This should stop Sand Attack and Tailwind. Now, throw 2 consecutive Stone Edges from the rocks near you at Konata! Be as accurate as you can because we don't want this match dragging on and because we promised Atheno that this would be shorter!

Mystic, until we see victory, I will not allow you to die! Shadow Sneak away in your Floor 3 and dodge that puny Energy Ball! Now, using your ability to sneak through walls (because you're a pure Ghost), Shadow Sneak to Floor 2 because... you can? From there, help support Garnet by sharing the hole and sniping Konata with an Ice Beam! Be sure to let Garnet throw that Stone Edge beforehand!

Garnet: Taunt - Stone Edge - Stone Edge

Mystic: Shadow Sneak (evade) - Shadow Sneak (to Floor 2) - Ice Beam (Konata)

Once I see Konata at a satisfying low amount of HP, then you can go faint for Konata, Mystic. ^_^ I'm not evil though, I swear!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So after a round of dodging, Mystic's and Garnet's hunt for Konata can begin in another round. To begin with, Mystic surprises everyone by jettisoning off to one side using a Shadow Sneak to dodge Konata's next attack. Because of this, when Konata tries to fire off an Energy Ball at Mystic she can't find her in amongst all of the afterimages caused by the dashing around, and it misses completely, going up through all of the rock and out of the top of the tower. Meanwhile, Garnet uses Taunt on Konata, inciting a rage in her and stopping the use of non-attacking moves.

Then, Mystic again uses Shadow Sneak down to the first floor to quickly get up to near Konata, and meanwhile Garnet uses Stone Edge on Konata from up above her. However, she cannot bring herself to use a snad attack because she so longs to attack, and so she just sits there for a bit.

Finally, as everyone descends on Konata, the all let off their final blow for the round. Konata, still under the effects of Taunt, cannot move again because she cannot use Tailwind, so she sits around down below, and sitting duck under the fire coming at her from all sides. Garnet starts off by using Stone Edge on Konata again from up above, and just after that has finished, Mystic lets loose a huge Ice Beam at Konata as well! It is really taking a beating, but it does look like it is just hanging on for the moment.

Okay, apparently Konata's still Taunted. Fuck.

Konata, Shadow Ball Duskull before it can get away. Then, summon up your most powerful Earth Power and blast the ceiling above Toxicroak! Then hit Toxicroak again with an Earth Power once it's pinned under the pile of rocks. If it managed to dodge, try your best to blow it away with a Gust!

So in the final stages of the game, it looks like finaly someone is going to take it out on the tower! I'm so excited. But first, in the first round of actions, Mystic Shadow Sneaks down to the first floor to meet Konata and act as a sacrifice. Thus, Konata can and does use a huge Shadow Ball on Mystic, which knocks it out cold, bringing this match to a more even 1v1. Garnet merely Chills up on the econd floor, preparing for the battle ahead.

Then, at the same time, Garnet looses a huge pile of rocks from the floor between them in a Stone Edge attack at Konata, who is busy using Earth Power on the second floor's ceiling. The ceiling collapses, and the whole tower, from the third floor up, is reduced to rubble all over the contestants. Garnet is hurt by the falling rocks, and is tied down by the huge weight.

Finally, Konata outstrips Garnet because Garnet is still pinned down by the rocks, and it uses Earth Power on Garnet, this time hitting directly and doing a good amount of damage. However, the vibrations cause just enough pertubations in the rocks to allow Konata, weakened by the blast, to hurl just one of them and Konata in a Stone Edge. In Konata's weakened state, this one rock is just enough to take her out, and she folds on the floor. This leaves Garnet as the only available Pokemon on the field, so Flora Wins!

gg guys

This game shows how cool a Duskull can be. She definitely did a lot of useful support for Croa... I mean Toxicroak, who then went to slaughter the remains.

gg Bynine and thanks for the reffing Athrodynos!

Ouch.. third loss.. Still, good game, Flora! Konata fought to the bitter end.

Love the formatting by the way, Athenodoros, and thanks for reffing, but it could stand to have a little less space in between the two sides.
