Start with a Yawn. Then use a Flamethrower. However, wait until Larion is up close before hitting it with flamethrower; we really want to try and get this thing burned (please remember serene grace Venser). Finish with a morning sun.

Hello, and welcome to today's episode of Top Pokemon Battles! Today, we've got the relative newcomer Seven Deadly Sins facing off against fan favorite Kaxtar, known to his groupies as KaxSTAR! The battle today is being held at an ice rink in the middle of nowhere, specifically so that none of his fans will be charging in and ruining the battle!

The two trainers appear to have chosen their Pokemon. This battle is a standard two-Pokemon per trainer battle, and Kaxtar makes the first move, tossing out a standard red-and-white striped Pokeball which flies through the air and, upon hitting the ground, releases a Togetic! As he floats above the ground, Seven Deadly Sins smirks and throws out his own Pokeball, which flies faster and falls faster, unleashing a Lairon upon contact! Shogun the Lairon bellows and strains the ice as he paws it, itching to start the battle!

Both trainers issue their commands to their respective Pokemon, and the battle begins! Shogun lowers his head and begins to run across the ice, which protests and begins to crack. He speeds up and lowers his head as he nears the foe's Togetic, and upon approach slams it with his rock-solid head! Quartz flies through the air and hits a wall, hard. He slowly falls down towards the ice, and unsteadily gets up. Shogun smirks, but the smile is wiped off his face as Togetic simply opens his mouth and heaves a great yawn out, as if to pretend the attack did no damage!

Furious, the Lairon wheels around towards the fallen Togetic and charges again! This time, a metal sheen spreads across his faceplate, and he slams it directly down on the Togetic! The ice around Quartz begins to crack, and he quickly gets back up to avoid slipping around some more. Taking advantage of the closeness of Shogun, from nowhere he produces a burst of flame concentrated into a single line. The attack spreads across Lairon and heats up the ice around it, creating a puddle of water on top of the ice, but he roars and shrugs it off.

Almost directly on top of the Togetic, Shogun senses a perfect opportunity and acts on it. He rears up, points his head down, and lets himself fall, directly on top of the floating Togetic, who is crushed into the ground. He gets up and floats away, until he is directly under one of the sunlights. Quartz then absorbs the light and uses it to refresh himself, ready for battle.

Let's DO this!

First, slam him with a Head Smash, using the slippery ice to give you some extra momentum. Then, if at all you manage to wake up early, Head Smash him again and again!

Head Smash~Head Smash~Head Smash

We're back! I hope you didn't learn anything important over the break, because this battle is going to be so high-intensity you'll forget it immediately! A quick recap before this battle gets down: we've got Kaxtar's weakened Togekiss fluttering around, and a drowsy but healthy Lairon ready to demolish it!

Yawn (falls asleep in one action)

And the action begins! The Lairon immediately wheels around to face the Togekiss and charges head-on at it. Initially confused about whether to dodge or take the attack like a man, Quartz makes a decision and stands his ground despite the hundred-twenty kilogram monster charging at him. Again he gets slammed away by Shogun's head, but immediately shoots out flame as he flies backwards. It's hot enough to even melt the ice several feet below the attack! The attack strikes the Lairon true, forcing him backwards.

GRAHHHH! Angered by this flaming outburst, Shogun prepares once more to charge and ram into the annoying pixie...but a connection is made in his brain and he realizes how drowsy that yawn made him. He decides to take a nap and falls into a deep slumber. Quartz, taking advantage of his inactivity, absorbs light and glitters, healing himself, as he prepares himself for further battle.

As the Lairon continues to sleep, his trainer paces back and forth. As if to annoy Seven Deadly Sins further, Kaxtar's Togetic lands and waddles towards his slumbering foe. He draws close, and attempts to plant a kiss on his..forehead...plate. But at the last instant, he slips on the ice and faceplants instead.

Welcome back! Here at the rink, we've got a slumbering Lairon facing off against a very, very weakened Togetic! We don't expect to see much high-intensity battling off the bat, but that can always change. And the two trainers have given their orders, with SevenDeadlySins yelling at his dozing Shogun in an attempt to get the orders through to him, whereas Kaxtar simply commands his calm Togetic.

The "action" begins as Quartz the Togetic wanders up to the dreaming Lairon and leans down, planting a sloppy Sweet Kiss directly on his forehead. The effect is bound to confuse the Lairon, or at least as soon as he wakes up!

But he is awake, and despite some uncertainty regarding the lipstick on his facial plate, manages to charge towards Quartz and deliver a wicked Head Smash, re-smearing some of the lipstick back onto Togetic before forcing him backwards. Feeling faint, Kaxtar's Pokemon barely manages to muster a Yawn at the roaring Lairon. And yawns are contagious, as we all know...

Shogun shakes off the yawn as he prepares for a final attack. He wheels around, skidding on the ice as he does so, and builds up speed, using the momentum of the ice to further his damage to the exhausted Togetic. One more time he hits with a massive Head Smash, this time crushing Quartz to the ground! It looks like one of his wings is damaged, but that's for the hospital to deal with after Kaxtar determines his course of action!

Lairon: Sleep, Head Smash, 29.25 damage, 9 energy; Head Smash, 29.25 damage, 9 energy.
Togetic: Sweet Kiss, 5 energy; Yawn, 7 energy

First off, slam the ice with a powerful Earthquake - since it hits the entire arena, there's no way his clones can throw you off! After that, hit him hard with a Double-Edge! Finally, finish it off with a Shadow Claw.

If I hit myself in confusion, just shift the commands- Earthquake and Double-Edge rather than all three.

Togetic hasn't gone out without leaving his mark, however. As Shogun the Lairon prepares to demolish the puny pirate, he remembers the sloppy kiss delivered to him, and is so confused that he loses his stride and crashes on the ice! Arrr-ing like a true pirate, Pirate Man Double Teams and creates three clones of himself, for a total of 4 Privatykes!

Frustrated, Shogun shakes the entire arena with a massive Earthquake, splitting the ice and hitting all of Pirate Man's clones, causing them all to dissipate, and shaking him up a bit too! Undaunted, however, he rushes up close avoiding the cracks in the ice and delivers 3 Arm Thrusts right to Shogun's face! That's gotta hurt!

Still reeling from the triple arm thrusts and about to fall asleep, Lairon sharpens his faceplate and slams Privatyke with a Double Edge for a huge hit. Pirate Man's got a plan though, and Drain Punches him after he regains his position to recover the lost health. Lairon is so shocked by the intensity of the blow that he falls asleep!

Despite having the very definition of a type advantage, Kaxtar is down a Pokemon and is wondering how he can manage to win this. He's got to slam the Lairon hard without actually waking it up, which will be no small feat. His Privatyke, Pirate Man, jogs over to Shogun and slaps him twice with an Arm Thrust. Despite the repeated blows to his head (or perhaps because of them) Shogun continues to slumber.

Keeping up the pressure on his sleeping opponent, Pirate Man focuses energy into his fist and punches it into the sleeping Lairon's side. Both Pokemon grow red as scratches and bruises appear over Shogun and those inflicted on Privatyke disappear. Despite being constantly weakened, Lairon is still asleep! What'll it take to wake him?!

One more Drain Punch is all it takes, as Lairon wakes up just in time to realize that he's about to faint due to lack of health. Before he does, however, he manages to harden his faceplate and slam into Privatyke with a powerful Double-Edge. However, the attack has left him even more exhausted than he was before!

Privatyke: Arm Thrust (2), 6.75 damage, 4 energy; Drain Punch, 15.75 damage (+8 HP), 8 energy; Drain Punch, 15.75 damage (+8 HP), 10 energy

Is there even any water in the arena? How do you make a Waterfall without water? Isn't a Waterfall without Water just a Tackle?

Whatever, just alternate Earthquake and Double-Edge.

Waterfall: The Pokemon propels itself towards, and strikes, the opponent using water. Due to the impact of this attack, it has a chance to flinch.
I'd say it comes from an internal water source. Anyways:

Kaxtar's Privatyke opens the round aiming to end it with this attack by drawing water from within himself and encasing himself in it. He charges forwards and slams into the Lairon, sending him spinning into a wall. Completely unfortunately for SevenDeadlySins, it looks like this attack was a Critical Hit and was enough to take out his Shogun!

Shogun has fainted!

I'm going off as if this wasn't affected by the stat changes and mechanics yet. Bosshroom, as such, still has 100 HP instead of 90. And also, even though it may be easier to "Taunt", it's not really a priority move. Well, at least Shroomish isn't doing any harm to Pirate Man yet.

Round ???

Hey guys, I heard Venser got into some serious trouble here! He smashed onto a glass wall while skating, right? Well, no problem; the ambulance's already here and he'll be taken cared of! While he's gone, I'll take over as the ref now!

Big bad Bosshroom starts off by shaking his body and emitting a PoisonPowder in his area, effectively poisoning his system and activating his Poison Heal! It's only until he finishes that he looks up across the arena and sees a mean Pirate Man Taunting him with his "middle finger". Oof, I think I heard some bad words there as well!

For the remainder of the round, there's a Bosshroom who attempts to squeeze out a seductive Spore and a crawling Leech Seed, but he couldn't! Pirate Man laughs at Bosshroom's weakness like he found his booty, skates across the arena on his small feet, and gives Bosshroom a nice closeby Yawn and then a solid Drain Punch smack to the face! Bosshroom's body rattles as it's hit, but no effect spore goes into motion.

Or maybe it will.
