Arena: Valley of Fun

So we're in a nice mountainous region, The arena itself is surrounded by mountains/active volcanoes, but the valley is large enough. In the valley, you'll find a rather large field with a lake in the center. The lake itself is plenty deep for water-types to be comfortable diving. Due to the activity of the volcanoes, the arena is pretty hot despite the location. Also, to make it pretty, there's a large waterfall going into the lake n.n

i probably won't be using anything fully evolved, but be prepared

Ok, lets send in Gastly to show this bag of bones a lesson. Ok Gastly, first off use Hypnosis to put him to sleep. Then roll it towards the water and push him in. Finally, hit the water with a Sludge Bomb, making it poisonous and hurting him even more.

i'm not feeling like flavor right now, but let's go with night slash followed up with a swords dance. We'll go ahead and end with a night slash!

ps: sleep sucks :(

What a dangerous location! Here we are, timidly watching as the battle between GoldenKnight and elDino is about to start. Who ever could have thought of battling here, in a small valley in a volcanic region? Who knows! However, this is sure to be an exciting battle and the interesting terrain will push these pokemon to their limits. Let's all hope that one of these volcanoes doesn't erupt though!

GoldenKnight's Xerxes/Axew:

We start off with... what's this? It seems Gastly is, instead of attacking, trying to show Xerxes some of the nearby mountains and volcanoes, as if he was pretending to be some tour guide! Xerxes is becoming very interested, and Gastly takes the opportunity to try to convince him through Hypnosis to take a brief sleep and dream of himself frolicking with his kind through the mountains. Xerxes will have none of it though, and sees right through Gastly's scheme and attacks him with a fierce Night Slash! Gastly, being almost too fast for its own good, is already preparing to push Xerxes into a nearby lake... but did not anticipate his foe being awake as he started this move! Instead of having the desired effect, Gastly's attack merely hits Xerxes with the power of a mighty Tackle.

Xerxes, hardly feeling a scratch and definitely not being pushed hard enough to fall back into the water, starts to dance around Gastly in a primitive fashion. He acts as though he is stabbing his enemy, and although he has no physical objects, both the Gastly and its trainer are smart enough to notice it is its attempt at a Swords Dance! Gastly does all he can to prevent this with a powerful Sludge Bomb aimed directly at his strengthened rival, but it does nothing to stop Xerxes from hitting him once again with another powerful Night Slash! Ouch! This isn't looking too good for Gastly so far, will he be able to recover next round?

ok cool, so we'll probably fall asleep this round, but hopefully we're close enough to the water that a sleeping axew can be woken up by splashes???

anyways, we'll go ahead and use dig followed up with night slash. We'll finish up with dig if it isn't disabled; if it is, we'll use night slash!

OK Gastly, lets try to put him asleep again. When he Digs, fly up into the air, so he can't reach you. Then hit him with a Hypnosis and then hit him once more with a mighty Sludge Bomb.

Ah, the mountains... such beauty. There's not much better in this world than looking back and admiring... oh, right, there's a battle going on here! Time to stop daydreaming and get back to work!

After how bad he felt from the first round, Gastly decided to start this one off by being passive and letting his opponent make the first move. Axew immediately started Digging underground. Gastly, being capable of Levitating simply watched in amusement as he required very little effort to float just a bit higher; a few large chunks of dirt flew up and hit Gastly, but otherwise he seemed to be unharmed. However, from such a high distance, he realized he could not attack with reasonable accuracy and floated back down as he launched a Hypnosis. The sudden movement caused him to lose focus just enough to be unable to hit, however. Xerxes once again seized the opportunity of a miss by attacking with another huge Night Slash!

Horribly wounded, Gastly decides he needs to be serious and attacks with a disguisting Sludge Bomb right to the face! Xerxes does the only thing one can really do in this situation: Dig underground and hope for the best! Of course, Gastly still Levitates, although not quite as high now and takes most of the damage from the actual attack this time.

One of these pokemon still looks capable of going on, while the other one looks tired!

What's this? Another dragon? Xerxes somehow knows that this creature is his enemy, and his Rivalry activates!

Xerxes starts the round with a Dual Chop, running quickly at his foe before it has a chance to go underground! Gible does indeed Dig, although he was too slow to avoid any damage and instead just hits Xerxes with the full power of the attack. Xerxes doesn't let up and continues to attack his foe, this time with a Night Slash, continuing to do a significant amount of damage!

"That's enough!" shouts elDino "we need to eliminate this thing now! Use Outrage!" Gible goes on a huge tantrum and charges into Xerxes with such incredible force, it's surprising that it didn't faint right there! He's obviously not going to be around much longer though, and finishes up with a Dual Chop since he doesn't have any actual Dragon moves of his own. Gible takes some more damage but doesn't even notice as his Outrage continues to make him strong, charging into Xerxes once again and finally fainting him!

Nimda the Porygon2 gets sent out following the death of its teammate, and immediately goes online and Downloads tips on how to defeat a Gible! It sees that the most obvious method is ice attacks, which it does not have, so it is forced to simply use a Tri Attack instead. It still does some good damage though. Gible responds by finishing up that Outrage from earlier, becoming slightly confused as to why it is suddenly attacking a new target.

Gible is almost out of life regardless, and Nimda finishes it off with a Shadow Ball!

Permanent Sunny Day, all pokemon receive 2 damage per action (as if Sandstorm/Hail were active, but regardless of type), the water in the lake is now boiling and is probably uninhabitable for all pokemon, and the smoke is slightly lowering the accuracy of all pokemon.

Because of all the smoke from the nearby volcano, GoldenKnight can barely see his opponent's new pokemon, but eventually makes it out to be a Riolu. Not a good matchup for Nimda the Porygon2!

Nimda starts the round off by shooting a few colorful beams of Tri Attack. It does quite a bit of damage, but doesn't seem to do anything else. Riolu, trained to be a tough fighter, shrugs it off as he does a tribal Swords Dance. This just keeps looking worse for that poor Normal-type pokemon!

Then, Riolu manages to go first and use Agility to speed himself up quite a bit! GoldenKnight, shocked, asks nobody in particular "how did he go first this time??" before realizing that both pokemon had completely equal speed! "That's not going to work for us, especially not after Agility. Use Thunder Wave! It hits, and the Riolu is now crippled so much that even his Agility won't help enough.

Finally, Nimda uses another Tri Attack, shooting the beams at the last place it saw its foe. However, it did not notice that Riolu had moved over a bit, unseen in the smoke, and was now running, hoping to land a huge Hi Jump Kick. It hits Nimda right in the face and does critical damage! Ouch!
