How would this go down in the 4th gen? Is there any pokemon asides from Tyranitar and Hippopodown (sp?) which could really screw it over?

Also, yeah, Furret owns.

Yeah, I guess it's kind novelty-only.

Because it can't hurt Ghosts at all, screwed over by Quick attack-type moves, and sand storm and hail..

Well, it's fun to do when it works, only like a 25% chance of the right moves coming out of assist though.

Uh, this is just a generic endure/reversal. Stopped by anything that stops endure/reversal including Tyranitar, Hippowdon, Abomasnow, and the new variety of Quick Attack clones.

Yeah.. Furret can also Assist a Spore from Smeargle.. that's how he's "supposed" to do it.. it's supposed to get the Spore first, then I Sub, then I assist again and hope for belly drum, then I do.. nothing.. and wait until I can Sub again/Endure and then Reversal.

Basically it's Furret drawing moves from Smeargle through assist.. rest of team are just dudes with only Assist.

=O It's Turismo, who supposedly thought of Tyraniboah and most of McGraw's movesets. >_>

This strategy worked better in 3rd gen when Tyranitar wasn't as common (though it was still used a lot) and Hippowdon and Abomasnow didn't exist.

Furret isnt exactly the speediest to use this with... IF you want to try this strategy using Assist to get Belly Drum etc, I would suggest for 4th gen trying Purugly or Persian both are Much Faster than Furret, Both have the benefit of Hypnosis, and Persian at least i know has Flail (I donno about Purugly).

Edit: Yea, Purugly wont get flail or reversal, but Persian Does get Flail, if you want to try this strategy I dont see why you would use Furret over Persian which is Faster and already has the use of Hypnosis (so you dont have to worry about Spore) not only that, the overall speed of Persian would probably after salac allow it to ouspeed just about anything. Plus Persian can get you Shadow Claw or Night Slash to hit Ghosts that you wouldnt be able to hit with Flail anyway, at the Sacrafice of perhaps Endure.

I am curious as to Why you decided to use Furret instead of other speedier pokemon...
