Manaphy Event - Toyrus

Oh, wow, this is really cool. Too bad I don't usually go to the events, but if this thing becomes as common as MYSTRY Mew have, it shouldn't be too hard to get off wifi.
 
Doesn't say anything about Special Moves, which lowers the value a bit for those that already have one.

It has a Red Scarf? A bit strange, seeing as it's really worthless outside of item-collectors and Contest fanatics.

Thinking I might go just to get it in a Cherish Ball.
 
Might as well go and get one, means I don't have to buy/rent Ranger and don't have to worry about getting a hacked one off GTS.
 
I'll go just to see the other people and may be trade mine for theirs if they don't know any better and they have a better one.

I'll be at college so its gonna be a pain in the ass like when I went to get Mew, but batpig will be there so maybe we can have another meet up!
 
Not gonna matter much since I have Manaphy already, but the Cherish Ball is cheerful. I'm getting it.
 
I will swing by and pick a couple up. I have Diamond in my DS Lite and Pearl in my DS Heavy, so that will give me two shots at it. Hopefully they will let me download a bunch of them so I can snag a good one. Once I check the natures/IVs, I get them cloned and out to our international brethren who are missing out on the US only event.
 
Does anyone know how Toys R Us distributes them? Like do you get a Manaphy egg or do they just fill up your empty party with Manaphys? Can you get back in line for more?
 
Nice, I'll probably try to go because mine from Ranger has terrible IVs. Plus, a Cherish Ball, so why not?

EDIT: Wait, it says a participating store - does that mean that not every one will have the giveaway? Is there a list somewhere of the ones that do?

I assume they'll do it like they did at the Mew event, trading a worthless pokemon for a Manaphy, or downloading it.
Edit: Oh yeah, I am going hopefully. Wish me luck in getting a good one, even though I already have one...
 
Great something I already have, I guess Darkrai and the other event pokemon are just to hard to import. Nintendo can be a real ass sometimes...

Darkrai just came out in Japan with the movie (and I suspect we won't get him or the movie until 2008). As for Shaymin and Arceus, from Nintendo's point of view, we weren't even supposed to know they exist yet.
