The site of the worst nuclear accident in history has now become a battle ground. Special permission from the Russian government, only possible to obtain through years of lobbying (or 20 dollars) has been granted for this battle. Even after several decades, the area is still fairly toxic, and at the end of the first round in battle, every non-poison or steel type will recieve either toxic or normal poisoning (50% of either). While some facilities remain, vegetation has mostly overtaken the arena due to the long time without humans.

At the site of the world's worst nuclear accident, two Pokemon trainers have come to duke it out in the radiation left behind. A third person present informed the Trainers of the procedure:

"All right, fellows, this is how it's going to go. Rediamond, as the one who issued the challenge, will send out his Pokemon first, then Solstice will do the same. Then Solstice will give his commands, and Rediamond will give his own. After I update you guys on how the battle is progressing, Rediamond will give orders, then Solstice will, then I will update you, etc. The order of commands will alternate as such until the battle ends. I take it you've made arrangements to protect yourselves from the radiation? Good. Let us begin."

I think I listed Porygon twice in my PM or something. Anyways, I only have one (there were two listed in my team's hide tag). Speaking of that, Porygon go!

I'll send out Fellow the Eevee! Lead off with a Sand Attack, then use Hidden Power Fire! Finish with a Tackle!

Sand Attack-Hidden Power-Tackle

Stalling for time with incoming poisoning is... questionable, but on the other hand, sheer force seldom works alone, and I don't want to be outstalled by the sand. We don't have five, the normal way of negating sand attack, but there's a reason I picked Russia. He should need just a moment to scratch up the sand, and a few seconds for it to fly through the air. However, it should be cold enough to instantly generate an ice beam, hopefully making the particles to heavy to hit you, and possibly even reach Eevee (not a priority). After that, counter his moves with Tri Attack and Ice Beam, and then we'll see what poison does.

Ice Beam (on Sand Attack to make it too heavy to hit/too coarse to lower accuracy)~Tri Attack~Ice Beam

The beginning of battle is always a problem, but rarely is it such a spectacle is it is today, in the wreckage left by history's worst nuclear accident. Cybrus the Porygon and Fellow the Eevee entered the field, and Cybrus' Adaptability raised its Attack. Fellow, however, moved first, throwing Sand Attack in Cybrus' face. Regardless of Rediamond's commands, Cybrus simply couldn't move fast enough to generate an Ice Beam before it landed. Regardless, Cybrus improvised and launched the Ice Beam, but the drop in accuracy took its toll; the Ice Beam never landed.
Fellow's second move was a Hidden Power, which made direct contact regardless of Rediamond's attempts to counter. The repsonding Tri Attack, however, was a ravaging hit to Fellow. Not only did it deal significant damage, but it left a Burn on Fellow's head and torso.
Once again, Cybrus was just too slow to counter Fellow's attack: this time, a Tackle. However, it did minimal damage, and Fellow felt the hurt from its burn. Cybrus countered with a powerful Ice Beam. which hit Cybrus dead-on.
At the end of the round, Bad Poison was inflicted on Cybrus and Fellow. Will they be able to withstand the toxic suffering?

In ASB, you can be paralyzed, burned, confused, poisoned, attracted, asleep, and confused at the same time. Status isn't singular. Just saying for Eevee.

Regardless, that was a pretty good round for us. Let's just go for KO momentum now, as stalling is a bad idea. Start off with a tri attack on any area that isn't already burned in order to deal some significant damage. Follow it up with another Ice Beam to hope for a freeze, and then go for another Tri Attack. If we get some status going, that's great. Just need to get a KO and momentum going...

Sorry short post I'm on my iPod. Fellow let's just try something like last round, Sand Attack, and then Hidden Power Fire twice!

No time to ref tonight; I have to get lots of sleep for my AP Euro exam tomorrow. I'll ref this tomorrow, alright?

EDIT: I just found out about the new resolutions that have passed; they will be implemented in this battle beginning with the reffing for Round 2.

Thanks for the update, and good luck on the exam! I had the AP English Lit today, it was brutal. Hopefully Euro is easier!

In the wreckage of Chernobyl, both Pokemon were suffering from horrid poisoning at the dawn of Round 2, with Fellow also suffering from burns on his face and upper torso. Regardless of these injuries, however, Fellow proceeded to use Sand Attack to further drop Cybrus's accuracy. Sure enough, Cyrbus's Tri Attack missed, leaving Fellow scot-free.
The second action of the match began once again in Fellow's favor. He used Hidden Power against the opposing Porygon, dealing some damage. Cybrus's response, however, was a bit more vigorous; his Ice Beam inflicted a respectable hit on Fellow. Both were beginning to suffer heavily from Toxic at this point.
The final action on Fellow's part was a Hidden Power, but it wasn't dealing much damage; in fact, Poison and Toxic wore away at Fellow quicker than the Hidden Powers chipped away at Cybrus. Cybrus himself tried to use Tri Attack again, but it missed once more. After noticing the damage Cybrus suffered from Toxic, the referee declared the round to be over.
"All right, guys, let's give your Pokemon a break for a short moment. After I let you all know how your Pokemon are doing, you can resume battle."

Both Pokemon were suffering greatly from the poisonous radiation, but they continued to fight regardless. Fellow began with a Wish, clearly attempting to aid whatever came to take its place. However, while Fellow left himself open, Cybrus launched an impressive Tri Attack; after the attack, though, both parties flinched at the seeping poison of Toxic within them.
Fellow began the second round with a Yawn which left Cybrus drowsy. Cybrus, however, was not going to take this lying down (yet), and retaliated with an Ice Beam, leaving Fellow with a tiny shred of his HP left.
Fellow, staggering from the damage he was dealt, launched the final attack of the round: Quick Attack. After dealing the glancing blow, however, Fellow dropped unconscious from the poison and burn. Cybrus was going to use Tri Attack if the Trainer's command was anything to go by, but didn't due to the KO.

The second Pokemon from Solstice's team to enter the wreckage at Chernobyl was Rogue the Murkrow, and he had devious plans right from the start. A Snarl both dealt respectable damage and softened the impact of the next blow: an Ice Beam which hit rather harder than the earlier Snarl. However, Cybrus was at a disadvantage in that he took Toxic damage after the Ice Beam, which quickly began to spell his death sentence.
Shaking off the frosty bite of Cybrus's Ice Beam, Rogue threw another Snarl at the electric soldier. Hampered in Special Attack though it was, its response in the form of Discharge dealt solid damage and paralysis to boot. At the end of the action, Wish gave Rogue 20 more HP.
Using the newfound slowness of Rogue, Cybrus was able to throw another Ice Beam at him, knocking him for a loop. Rogue ached to respond, but paralysis held him in place.
At the end of the round, Rogue suffered Toxic poisoning. Would this prove vital in the rounds to come?

Wait what happened to the wish? I thought it kicked in this round.

Ok Rogue lead off with a Wing Attack for some damage, and then if he's not down use Psychic. Finish the round with Roost!

Guys, I've got an announcement to make: I've been calculating Toxic damage wrong for the past five rounds. It increases every round, not every action. That's hugely important, and the entire match is basically turned on its head because of it. Therefore, I'm going to have to call this battle off due to extensive inadequate reffing; one would essentially have to begin this battle again to correct it.

As far as tokens go, I don't have much experience, but I would assume that you each would get 2 TC, and the first Pokemon each of you sent out would recieve the standard counters; I can't justify a KO counter for Cybrus or standard counters for Rogue, as either of those could have happened or not happened by this time if Toxic was done properly. I sincerely apologize for wasting your time.

You're new at this. Don't worry about it too much.

In any event, just do what Terrador says. You can each claim 1 EC, 2 MC, and 1 DC for each of your initial Pokemon, and 2 TC Each. We'll treat it like a 1vs1, so Terrador gets 2 RC.

Terrador, if you need help or think the damage is amiss, ask myself or Flora.

That probably made a difference. However much is debatable, but I digress. Good start of a game, and fast reffing was appreciated. Also, I still misref at times. Don't feel bad, and it gets better with time and practice.
