Each trainer stands at one end of the Pokemon Center, ready for the battle that is about to begin. Arcanite sends out his Pokmon first, and counters by sending out his own Fire-type Fjalar the Torchic. Who will win this flaming duel? Firion starts off by standing his ground, glaring at his opponent with an Intimidating stare. Fjalar acts like nothing is happening, and dances around his side of the PC, with some of his feathers becoming sharp like swords. After seeing the dance, Firion appears to be choking with laughter. But wait! It's not laughter, he spits out a wad of toxic sludge that hits Fjalar in the chest. Fjalar responds by attemping to colapse the ceiling for a rock slide, but it yelled at by Nurse Joy who doesnt want to buy a new incubator again. Chuckling at the chicken, and feeling quite hungry, Firion runs towards him and crunches him. After he releases him, however, Fjalar avenges himself by hitting with a powerful Crush Claw. Chansey watches the battle from Nurse Joy's side and desides that she wants a part of it. Taking an Oran Berry, she runs over to Firion and gives it to him.

Round 2: Flaming Fury-without the flames
After the first round of battling it is very even between the Fire Chick and Fire Pup. Firiom opens up the second round with a loud Howl, raising his attack so that he can hit Fjalar harder. Already prepped with his sword-like feathers, the chick launches a quick Shadow Claw at his rival puppy. After that, faster than the audience can see, he dissapears, only to reapear using Aerial Ace. Unfortunately, Fjalar wasn't so easy to lose, and crushed him with his talons as he made impact. The strike was so hard, that Firion winces with pain, and can see that he was slightly cut open, lowering his defense. He shrugs it off, knowing that battle scars are meant to show off. The two back up to catch their breath, and glare at each other relentlessly. Firion lowers his head and prepares to charge for some close quarters combat attacks. Seeing this, Fjalar emits a brownish-red glow. Not caring for any tricks, Firion charges headlong into his opponent and hammers him time and time again with mauling claws and body slams. After standing up to several hits, Fjalar counters them and beats Firion back. Both Pokemon are growing tired, but their internal fire gives them strength to fight on. Feeling the pain, but not willing to give up, Firion eats his Oran Berry, restoring 10 HP. Still excited about the raging battle, Chansey decides to get back in on the action. She can't decide which move to use or who to help, and ends up dusting herself off and eating one of her eggs to replenish the energy she lost by watching the match.

Round 3: Critical Chaos can't save the Fire Puppy
The battle between the fire puppy and fire chick continues. They rush towards each other, each ready to defeat the other and claim the victory. Firion opens his jaws wide, and crunches down on his opponent, who rips at him with crushing talons. Each one yelps in pain, they both scored critical hits! Firion seems not to notice his defenses go down again, and uses Reversal, in order to take advantage of his low health. He easily launched his opponent back, scoring a second critical hit. Fjalar recovers in a heartbead, and instantly notices the defense drop and hits again with shadowy powered claws, KOing him.The tired Fjalar stands over as the victorious Fire-type, but how long can he hold off againt Arcanite's next Pokemon? Seeing the injured Pokemon, Chansey runs over to him and uses Heal Pulse, restoring 20 HP to Fjalar.

Round 4: Chilled Chick
Arcanite sends out Shiva the Vanillish to finish the job that Firion started. Fjalar is eager to battle more and starts focusing his energy. Seeing this, Shiva decides to Taunt him by making faces and insulting the little chick. Outraged at not being able to focus his energy, Fjalar flaps his wings a few times, and charges to close the distance. Shiva uses the time that he's running to launch a Water Pulse. The blast of water knocks Fjalar down, but he's back up and spitting embers out of his beak.Feeling a bit hot after eating fire, Shiva builds up a ball of energy, and uses Hidden Power, which takes on ground typing. It hits Fjalar in the head, he flies backwards and does a few flips. After the dust has settled, everyone sees that he has clearly fainted. Chansey sits on the sidelines munching another egg of hers, enjoying the battle.

Round 5: Screen Saver
The battle between Thor and Shiva now commences! Thor instantly sets up a Light Screen, protecting itself from Shiva's attacks. Just after the screen is erected, Thor is hit by a Hidden Power with ground typing. The screen significantly lowers the damage, and Thor shakes it off as if nothing happened, and then attacks with Cross Chop. Needing another way to do constant damage, Shiva shoots a toxic bomb at Thor, badly poisoning him. Thor comes in for a Fire Punch while Shiva launches a second Hidden Power. Shiva is taking much more damage than it is able to dish out, but the Toxic will help quite a bit in the long run. Following her natural calling, Chansey runs over to the hurt Pokemon and uses Heal Pulse. Thor smiles at the Chansey, and fights on hoping to impress her more and win her for himself.

Round 6:
After being healed by Chansey, the battle between Shiva and Thor continues. Thor opens with a Thunder Wave, hoping that paralysis will hinder Shiva, who responds with an Ice Beam. The two continue to duke it out, as they exchange a Cross Chop and a Hidden Power Ground. Thor poweres up a Fire Punch, but as he's rushing towards Shiva, and unleashing his attack, he is hit by another Ice Beam. He successfully hits his opponent, but is getting tired himself. As tired as he is, he knows that the Light Screen is saving him, but Toxic is starting to take its toll as well. Chansey rushes over to Thor and gives him an Oran Berry. When she returns, Nurse Joy whispers to her how absurd it would be if weather could work inside the Pokemon Center.

Round 7: Melted Ice Cream
As the battle rages on, Shiva is obviously becoming tired out. Thor is not showing much fatigue and continues to hammer Shiva with attacks left and right. He starts with the powerful but unaccurate Cross Chop, which hits! Shiva fires an Ice Beam as he's hit. Thor comes away with frozen fists and icicles forming on his outlet tongs on his head. Nothing stops him though, he fires up his fists and punches Shiva, fainting the Ice Cream Cone Pokemon. Chansey runs over to Thor to give him a hug, as well as a Lum Berry, but he's already holding an item and can't take a second one!

Doesn't thor take toxic damage on the third action?
 
I believe that because Shiva fainted, the 3rd action doesn't take place, which means he won't take toxic damage. I'll check on that though.
EDIT: I looked into it and the round ends after a pokemon faints. He can't use any moves for action 3 (even healing or stat boosters), but can't take residual damage either.
