And since you've asked for an arena, how about shamelessly reusing someone else's?

The Coliseum. Yes, the one in Rome. If the match gets too boring, the Emperor (ref) can release pokemon into the Coliseum to mix things up. Sound good?

The Colosseum of ancient Rome is roaring with applause as the two trainers made their way to center stage. The emperor sat on his thrown, a Persian purring by his feet while a maiden fed him a vine of grapes. The emperor gives the signal, exciting the crowd even more as they eagerly anticipate for the start of the battle.

Battle order:
rickheg sends out his pokemon
Arcanite sends out his pokemon and orders
rickheg orders
I ref

Alright, let's get started and have fun!

Bahamut, you're up! Start off with an aqua tail on growlithe, then Use Reflect to reduce the power of his attacks, then go for another aqua Tail on Growlithe.

Fuma, Help him out! Hydro Pump Growlithe, then Psychic on Meinfoo, follow up with another Hydro Pump on Growlithe!

Ziggy, it looks like you're public enemy number one. Who did you piss off? Or, piss on? Anyway, intimidate will weaken those Aqua Jets, but let's weaken them further. Will-O-Wisp Bahamut until it hits. If it hits right away, then use Helping Hand for Swifty, and finish with Crunch on Fuma. It if takes two actions, then use Wild Charge on Staryu for your third action.

Will-O-Wisp Bahamut > Helping Hand > Crunch Fuma
OR
Will-O-Wisp Bahamut > Will-O-Wisp Bahamut > Wild Charge Fuma
OR
Will-O-Wisp Bahamut x3

Swifty, I don't like Hydro Pumps. Use Fake Out on Fuma to start. Then, use a Rock Slide since it'll hit both of them and hopefully one of them won't pull of their action. Then finish up with a Double Slap on Fuma.

Fake Out Fuma > Rock Slide both > Double Slap Fuma

EDIT: really? I've had it not be an action before. I guess if it is, I'll use it next turn.

The crowd goes wild as the first pokemon gets sent out. Rickheg releases Ziggy the growlithe, who lets out a howl to demonstrate his eagerness to battle, and Swifty the mienfoo, who starts stretching, ready to bring on some pain. Arcanite takes some time to decide who to send out, and decides to release the graceful dratini Bahamut and the gorgeous staru Fuma Shuriken.
Once again, the emperor gives is the signal once again, and the battlers are off! Before anyone can make a move, Ziggy lets out a loud Intimidating roar, making fuma and bahamut shudder in fear, thus reducing their attack power. Fuma, wanting to punish the puppy for decreasing its stats, begins to charge up a powerful hydropump aimed directly at ziggy, but is suddenly interrupted by Swifty’s Fake Out, forcing the sea star to flinch! Bahamut, angry that everyone is getting in on the action, fires off a powerful Aqua tail at ziggy, but unfortunately the attack MISSED!

Fuma, now angry, decides to try something new and fires a barrage of Psychic waves directly at Swifty, forcing him to crash into the side of the coliseum! Ouch, that must have hurt. Swifty composes himself, but finds that his special defence has been lowered! He quickly retaliates with a Rockslide, hitting both of his enemies directly! Ziggy, realizing how close that aqua tail came to hitting him, fires off a Will-ow Wisp directly at the little dragon, but the dratini is too sneaky for him and quickly slithers out of harm’s way, resulting in another MISS! Bahamut follows up with a Reflect to brace future attacks.

Fuma, pumped after firing off that psychic, sends out another Hydropump at Ziggy, which hits directly on target, drenching the poor puppy. Swifty didn’t like what fuma hurting his teammate like that, and responds with a powerful Double Slap, hitting 4 times! Luckily, thanks to that reflect, the attack does almost nothing but hurt Fuma's dignity. Ziggy, angered as ever, fires off another Willow Wisp, Which this time, hits its target! Just in time too, because Bahamut decides to repeat a previous move as well and charges up a powerful Aqua Tail, hitting directly!

And that ends round one folks! Looks like rickheg's team looks a little battered up, but the match is still young and anything can still happen! The Emperor is still sitting on his throne, looking content, hopefully the battlers can keep his interest so that he doesn't have to spice things ups.

note: intimidate does take an action to let out, so I just used the original actions posted for this round.
rickheg, you're up!

Okay, so we're behind the eight ball now, guys. But we can do this! Let's focus on Fuma, its hitting harder, it seems.

Swifty, start off with Brick Break, I dunno why I didn't use it last round. Target Fuma if you can, but I want it broken for both as a priority. Then use Rock Slide, and follow up with another Brick Break on Fuma.

Ziggy, I want you to Crunch Fuma to start. The quicker we hurt that thing, the better. Then help Swifty with his Rock Slide by using Helping Hand. Then finish up with a Wild Charge to Fuma.

Bahamut, Hit Growlithe With an Aqua Tail, then thunder wave Meinfoo. Finish off with another Aqua tail on Growlithe!

Fuma, Hydro Pump Growlithe, then Use your Psychic to throw Meinfoo off the rock slide. Then finis Growlithe off with another Hydro Pump. If he has been KOed, use Pshychic on Meinfoo a second time!

Sorry guys, made an error in that last round, I completely forgot staryu was not part psychic, and thus should not get stab on psychic. I fixed it below, so hopefully this won't effect the outcome of the battle:

The audience continues to roar as the battle enters round two. Fuma doesn’t waste any time and goes on the offence, firing off a Hydro Pump at Ziggy. Unfortunately for Fuma, Ziggy manages to dodge it by a hair, resulting in the jet of water to crash into the side of the arena, littering rubble on the floor. Swifty, living up to his name, takes advantage of Fuma’s blunder to respond with a Brick Break, consequentially shattering the screen Bahamut put so much effort in making. Fuma falls back a good ten meters, feeling the full power of the hit. Ziggy, following his partner’s footsteps, crunches the poor star while it’s still down. Bahamut, furious that his hard work has gone to waste, takes out his anger with another Aqua Tail, directly hitting Ziggy square on the chin.

Fuma quickly gets back up, ready for revenge. Once again, it fires off a powerful psychic attack at Swifty in hopes of sabotaging his next attack. Swifty looks like he’s almost able to give into Fuma’s powers, until Ziggy gives him a Helping Hand. Using the electrical energy, Swifty breaks out of Fuma’s psychic grasp and launches his most powerful Rock Slide yet, hitting both of his intended targets. Bahamut is tired of going last, so he charges up some electricity to Thunder Wave at Swifty, slowing him down substantially.

Fuma takes a second shot at a Hydro Pump and manages to drench the poor puppy. Ziggy doesn’t take this sitting down and responds with a Wild Charge, dealing some good damage to the water type. Bahamut, happy that he is no longer going last, retaliates against Ziggy with another Aqua Tail. Swifty may be slow now, but he’s not out, as he shakes off the paralysis and hits Fuma with another Brick Break.

And this ends round two! Looking at the battlers, looks like both Fuma and Ziggy are barely standing. Meanwhile the other two are suffering their respective status conditions, particularly Bahamut, who eagerly awaits his ability to activate. The crowd cheers once more in excitement, but the emperor looks as if he is loosing interest. With a snap of his fingers, a gate opens, releasing an angry looking Mightyena onto the field.

Mightyena

The pokemon looks a little worn down, possibly from a previous fight, but that doesn't mean he is any less dangerous. Looks like things are really heating up here in the Colosseum!

Arcanite, you're up!

Ok, Bahamut, use extremespeed on Growlithe to finish it off. Then Hit Meinfoo with A Dragon Pulse and then a Thunderbolt! (If Meinfoo tries to attack you on action 2 or 3, use agility to get mightyena between you and Meinfoo)

Fuma, use Recover to heal up, then go for a Psychic on Meinfoo. Follow up with another recover!

Since it was never specified, what do we want to do for the recovers/chills? The standard 2/5, or infinite, or what?

Yeah, i just noticed this. I personally think the 2/5 is more balanced, but it really is up to you two, what type of rules would you prefer?

Okay, so 2/5 it is! Ziggy, you're dead anyway, but I can't remember if Helping Hand is +3 priority or not, but just try Helping Hand before you fall!

Swifty, keep the pain going with Rock Slide. That paralysis really hurts...I need you alive, so use Detect on the second action. As Staryu is recovering some more, go for a Rock Slide again. This could come back to haunt us, but take the chance.

Ziggy knows his time is short, so in his last bit of energy, he uses a Helping Hand in order to give his partner a fighting chance. Before Swifty even has a chance to thank him, Bahamut races towards growlithe at blinding speeds before knocking him out with Extreme Speed! Swifty stares at his unconscious friend and is filled with nothing but rage, resulting in another powerful Rock Slide! Fuma quickly Recovers off some damage so it doesn’t face the same fate as Ziggy. Because of his blind rage, Swifty does not aim the attack properly, allowing Fuma to avoid it narrowly. However, Bahamut isn’t so lucky, and feels the full wrath of a Critical Hit! The Mightyena quickly avoids the attack too, and then lets out a loud Howl to increase its attack stat.

Fuma and Bahamut try to use teamwork and attack together, firing off their respective Psychic and Dragon Pulse. Swifty sees this coming and responds with a Detect, quickly dodging out of harm’s way from the attacks! Mightyena targets his prey and Bahamut with a vicious Bite attack!
Fuma recovers off even more damage while Bahamut fires off a wicked Thunder Bolt! Looking at the weakened Swifty, the Mighteyena decides it would make an easier target and attacks with a powerful Crunch! Siwfty responds with one more rockslide, hammering both Fuma and Bahamut while the mightyena just manages to jump out of the way, that is one lucky hyena!

And so ends this round! Despite going against the odds, Swifty managed to pull through long enough while dishing out some damage as well. Fuma also came back from the brink of death and is healthy as ever! Bahamut, on the other hand, is starting to look worn out, how much longer can it last? Finally, that Mightyena looks furious, and is ready to dish out some damage!
The Emperor looks pleased, while the crowd is ready for more!

Rickheg, go ahead and send out your next pokemon and your actions!

Damn, Ziggy's down. Okay, time to see how you fare in your first battle, Levi the Cottonee!!

Fuma is out of recoveries, let's make it count! Levi, use Energy Ball on Fuma. Then I want you to Leech Seed Bahamut, then I want you to use Mega Drain on Fuma.

Swifty, I want you to fire some more Rock Slide at everyone besides Levi. Then I want you to Brick Break Fuma, and finish it up with another Rock Slide. However, if Mightyena attacks you on the second action, I want you to U-Turn Fuma instead. Hopefully, Mightyena's attack will hit Fuma instead.

Also, all remaining actions target Bahamut if Fuma faints.

Fuma, Use Psychic to throw Meinfoo into Mightyena, then hit Meinfoo with a Hydro Pump. Then, Throw it into Mightyena again with another psychic. (Make sure to be subtle, so Mightyena think's Meinfoo is attacking it!

Fuma, Use Thunder wave on Cottonee, then Hit it with an ice beam! Then Hit Meinfoo with a dragon pulse! If you have less than 10 HP left replace the Dragon Pulse with a draco meteor! (Hit Cotonee is Meinfoo is down!)

Noth to ref: have you been checking shed skin?

Despite losing one of his battlers, rickheg keeps on fighting and sends out Levi The Cottonee out to the field! The little puffball enjoys the crowds cheering for the moment, loving the attention he’s getting, before getting serious and turning his attention to the opponents. Fuma ignores the cottonee and continues its assault on Swifty. It uses its psychic energy to pick up the poor fox and hurl it at the mightyena! The Dark pokemon gets angry and responds with a Take Down in order to swat Swifty Away. Levi is angry at Fuma ignoring her and sends out an Energy Ball that hits directly on target. The impact was far greater than Fuma expected, so it backs off a bit to gain some distance between it and the grass type. Bahamut decides Levi is too also too fast and slows it down with a Thunder Wave! This gives Swifty enough time to enact his revenge, powering up a Rockslide! Once again, he over comes his paralysis and manages to hurl rocks at his opponents, but Fuma, as crafty as it is, manages to dodge the attack. However, Bahamutis not nearly as lucky and gets hit with a full fledged Critical Hit! The mighteyena also gets hammered, only making it angrier!

Levi, thanks to her ability, is the first to use his section action and fires a Leech Seed at Bahamut! The attack is a success and Bahamut is engulfed in parasitic seeds! Fuma responds with a Hydropump at swifty, hammering him with a boatload of water! Swifty can’t take it anymore and falls over, Knocked out! The mightyena is still encased in rocks, and decides to take his time to plan out its next move. Bahamutdecides to take on the offense and fires an Ice Beam directly at Levi, hitting him where it hurts!

Fuma decides to use the psychic energy he was storing for Swifty and focuses it on Levi! Mightyena analyzes his situation and picks Fuma as the most dangerous! As a result, he uses a Crunch on the star! Bahamut also redirects his Dragon Pulse at Levi. The poor grass type uses Mega Drain as a desperate attempt to gain back some hp! Fuma falls to the ground, the orb in the middle of its body blinking. Finally the light fades, indicating Fuma is knocked out! As the round ends, the leech seed on Dratini absorbs the last of its strength, also knocking the little dragon out!

And so ends another Round, and what an eventful one it was! Three pokemon knocked out at once! the stage is set for the grand finale as the players send out their final pokemon! The crowd starts to chant Levi's name, the only pokemon to gome out of this still standing! No one expects what will happen next, this should be a good one!

Ref note: yes, I have been checking shed skin, dratini has just been really unlucky =/

Arcanite, send out your last pokemon (firion the growlithe and sir auron the riolu) and orders
Then rickheg, send out your last pokemon (liberty the scylar) and orders

Ok Firion, you're up! Start of by using a heat wave on Scylar and Cotonee! Then use Nitro boost on Scylar! Then try another heat wave!

Sir Auron, time to Blaze Kick on Scylar, then Swords Dance, then repeat with another Blaze Kick on Scylar!

Alright, let's go, Liberty the Syclar! Start things out with Protect so you don't die on the first turn. Then, use Earth Power, targetting Firion. Then, finish with a Bug Buzz on Sir Auron.

Levi, start out with Stun Spore, target Firion, then Sir Auron. You have priority, so hit before Heat Wave can burn the spores. Finish up with Mega Drain on Sir Auron.

We’ve reached the climax of the battle as the players release their final pokemon, all determined to fight it out till the end! Levi is the first to move, despite her paralysis, and decides that Firion is the most threatening pokemon on the opposing team. As a result, he lathers the mutt in Stun Spore, causing paralysis! Sir Auron and Firion want to end this quickly, leading to an assault of fire through a Heat Wave and a Blaze Kick! Liberty is quick to react and Protects, allowing her to absorb the impact without any damage! Levi is not as lucky and feels the force of the super effective heatwave! Even Mighteyena gets hit by the flames, but instead of retaliating, he notices his boosts are gone and decides to Howl, bringing his attack score up once more!
Levi once again summons a cloud of spores, this time engulfing sir auron, paralyzing him too! Liberty, the only one still able to move freely, fires off an earth power at Firion, Hitting for super effective damage! Mightyena targets a full on Takedown at firion as well, probably as revenge for the heatwave! Firion gets to his feet and uses Nitro Boost at Liberty, targeting the bug’s greatest weak points! As a result, he nets himself a speed boost, which would have been useful if we weren’t paralyzed…
Sir Auron decides to take a turn to increase his stats, and thus charges up with a Swords Dance!
Liberty, still the fastest on the field, uses a powerful Bug buzz on Sir Auron, knocking back a few more meters! Mightyena attacks the same target with a Crunch, adding injury to, well, injury. Firion is next to move and fires of a heat wave, Hitting everyone for decent damage, consequentially knocking the mightyena out! Sir Auron tries to follow up with a blaze kick, but finds himself Fully Paralyzed! This gives Levi the perfect opportunity to Mega Drain in order to steal some health!

Another eventful round! The Mightyena is lead back into its cage with its tail between its legs as the battlers continue to fight it out!

rickheg, you're up!

Just a quick note, using a move on consecutive occasions in a round increases the energy by 4 per use. So the second Stun Spore should have cost 10 Energy, not 6.

Okay guys, we're kinda boned, but we're not out of this yet! Firion is the bigger threat here, getting stab on his fire moves. I really need to get something to handle these fire types...

Anyway, let's kick his ass, yeah? Liberty, let's keep it simple. Just Earth Power til you drop. Levi, use Leech Seed on Firion, and then use Energy Ball on Firion. Then hit Sir Auron with Leech Seed. The more health you get, the better.

Firoin, you are doing awesome! Lets do that again!

Heat Wave>Flame Charge (Scylar)>Heat Wave

Sir Auron, go for a Hi Jump Kick, then a Blaze Kick, then another blaze kick on Scylar until he faints, then target cotonee!

Scylar tries to get some momentum with a Earth Power at Firion, dealing some nice damage. Firion responds with a Heat Wave, hitting both opponents, and consequentially hammering Levi with a Critical Hit!
