Hello, everyone, and welcome to today's battle on Cloud 8. Why here? Cloud 9 had a reservation. :( Actually, it's because this site was selected as a battling arena by TEA_DEMON, who has been anxiously awaiting a showdown for quite some time. His challenge has been accepted by none other than Pikapwnd, who is also eager for a battle. Well, wait no longer; this cloud arena should provide plenty of challenge for the two of you.

arena: a cloud. you can't dig through it but you can stand on it. clouds are made of water droplets so you can use water-requiring moves but they cost more energy (up to the ref).

Trace: (Can be Activated) This Pokemon can copy an ability of the opponent and replace Trace for six (6) actions. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced.
Download: (Innate) At the beginning of the match, the Pokemon analyzes the opponent and downloads data that lets it deal more damage. This Pokemon receives a one (1) stage increase on the offense that strikes an opponent’s weaker defense stat. (e.g. does more damage with special attacks when facing Aggron, which has higher defense, and attack when facing Hypno, which has higher special defense. For ties, Attack is raised.) This boost is maintained at the end of each round.
Analytic (DW): (Can be Enabled) If this Pokemon attacks second during an action, its attack has +5% (flat) more accuracy do two (2) more damage. However, the opponents attacks have +10% (flat) accuracy.

Abilities:
Pickup: (Innate) This Pokemon has a natural habit of collecting items. Whenever a hold item (its own or an opponents) is used or knocked onto the ground with a move like Knock Off, this Pokemon will immediately pick up that item without using an action. It can also grab dropped or naturally occuring hold items in arenas.

Personality: Like the terrifying big brother you never wanted, He's the leader of the crew. He will play every cruel joke known to man on you, but he loves you. One of the "Twins" and extremely over-protective of Moar Hugs.

Abilities:
Static: (Innate) This pokemon’s body is surrounded by an electric field that has a 30% chance of paralyzing opponents that use contact moves on this pokemon.
[DW Locked] Vital Spirit: (inate) This Pokemon has a high vitality and alertness making it immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Personality: The youngest of the three starters, and also the most accepting. Considered their little sister by the "twins." She often frowns upon what they do in the sake of her "protection" that often turns people away. While she does love everyone, when it comes to defending her brothers she will tear you LIMB FROM LIMB. she are scary.

Type:
Water: Summary: Water STAB; Can breathe and have excellent mobility when underwater, are less capable on land unless they are entirely amphibious.

Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks outside extremely odd circumstances even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas

Abilities:
Water Absorb: Type: Innate
This Pokemon absorbs water attacks and instead of taking damage from them, recovering 50% of the damage the water attack would have done. A Pokemon that attacks itself with water to heal only recieves 25% of the damage that attack would do to itself.

Swift swim: Type: Innate
The Pokemon with this ability moves extremely fast is slick, rainy conditions, doubling (x2) its speed in the rain.

Personality: A fun loving tomboy who is the other half of the "twins," she loves to make new friends, unless of course they might harm Moar Hugs. In which case they will receive a High Jump Kick to their face or if male.... Where the sun doesn't Shine."

Type: Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves. Superior reaction time in close quarters.


Abilities: Guts: Type: Innate
This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn
Steadfast: Type: Innate
If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference. This speed boost is maintained at the end of each round

Round 2 Begin!

Let the chaos ensue! Thanks to Trick Room, Intronaut gets to move first here. He runs up and Crunches the sleeping Twinkletoes, who stirs restlessly. This stirring generates a small electric charge, and the Static paralyzes Intronaut! Lynchies moves next, using a Jump Kick on Intronaut while saying, "Hi!" Jethro's hungry; TOO hungry. So hungry, in fact, that he's even willing to devour Twinkletoes's dreams. He eats them and recovers some health, but he also wakes up Twinkletoes in the process! Queen takes advantage of the falling rain to use Hydro Pump, which soaks Intronaut's fur. Floyd attacks the newly awakened Twinkletoes with a Tri Attack, leaving Twinkletoes greatly weakened. However, he does manage to nail Intronaut with a Cross Chop, leaving the teddy bear with a tiny fraction of its health.

As Intronaut prepares to attack, Lynchies uses a priority Fake Out to inflict some minor damage to Floyd and render him unable to attack this turn. Intronaut now Yawns REALLY loudly, causing Lynchies to feel drowzy. It'll takes him a few turns to fall asleep, but he will. Trust me. Jethro also wants a piece of Lynchies, so he psychically picks him up and hurls him at the cloud-ground. However, this concentration leaves him completely exposed to a barrage of supersonic waves from Queen. Despite Queen's best aiming efforts, however, Jethro barely tunes in to the noise, meaning he's only slightly Confused. Floyd attempts to use a Thunderbolt on Queen, but he's still flinching from the Fake Out earlier in the round. Twinkletoes closes the round with a Fire Punch that connects with Intronaut. The little bear begins to cry, but this quickly stops: he's fainted! Twinkletoes smirks as TEA_DEMON returns the little bear to its Poke Ball.

Round 3 Begin!

Lynchies barely outpaces Jethro this turn and jumps into the air. He drops straight to the ground, knee-kicking the future vegetarian omelet with a grunt of "HI-YAH!" Jethro is still a bit confused from that Supersonic, but he does manage to put up a reflector shield to protect him and Floyd from physical attacks. Unfortunately, his fancy barrier does nothing to stop the Ice Beam that Queen fires at him. He does cringe a bit, but that atttack was super-effective, so I can see where he's coming from. Floyd, who has until now been floating off in a corner by himself, decides to tri and attack. He fires a fancy triangle with multicolored corners that creates a DOUBLE RAINBOW. Twinkletoes is so busy staring at the DOUBLE RAINBOW that he doesn't notice it getting closer and smashing him in the face. He looks annoyed, so he charges his fist with ice and punches Jethro, although the damage is lessened by Reflect. Jethro feels chilled to the bone, but he barely avoids becoming frozen.

(Imagine that in-game: Lynchies used Hoo Leap Footslap! It's not very effective at either damage or naming...) Again, Jethro is able to shrug off his confusion, this time permanently. However, instead of creating another barrier (which would do nothing anyway), he fires a barrage of seeds at Queen. These seeds appear to be of the species Botanica leechus, meaning Queen is about to get her health drained! Before that happens, she fires another beam of ice at Jethro. Unlike last time, though, this one scores a critical hit! Now it's freestyle time!

Round 4 Begin!

I'm going to make this quick. Twinkletoes's Quick Attack dodge fails at evasion, for the most part, since it's apparently illegal. However, it does reduce the damage from Jethro's Leaf Storm a little bit. Lynchies takes a nap, while Queen launches a mighty Hydro Pump at Jethro, weakening him a good deal. Floyd tries to attack Twinkletoes, and the attack goes better than expected: it critical hits, KOing Twinkletoes!

Jethro opens Action 2 with a Psychic on Lynchies, who promptly wakes up to attack his attacker with a Hi Jump Kick. Unfortunately, the attack misses dealing a small amount of damage to Lynchies. Queen uses an Ice Beam on the mass of seed-eggs known as Jethro, resulting in a KO! Floyd ends the round by Ice Beaming Twinkletoes's corpse.

Round 5 Begin!

Lynchies attempts to lynch Floyd with a Mach Punch, but between Floyd's natural bulk and Jethro's posthumous Reflect, the attack does virtually nothing. Queen blasts Floyd with Hydro Pump, but the water is drawn off to one side by electrical forces in the cloud, resulting in a miss. Now it's Floyd's turn to play. He calls forth fire, ice, and thunder to do his bidding. This triforce of power produces a strong attack that does a number to Lynchies.

Lynchies is a violent Tyrogue, and he's hungry for some revenge. He jumps up really high before dropping to deliver a kick to Floyd's face. Reflect is still up, reducing the damage from the attack, but Floyd still took a beating. Queen then blares at Floyd with supersonic waves, but Floyd has no ears and is unaffected by the attack. Floyd strikes Lynchies with a close-range Psybeam, but Lynchies has a fighter's spirit and remains standing.

Floyd's beneficial Reflect wears off, leaving him much more exposed to attack. Rain Dance and Trick Room are up for one more round, and I have a feeling this match will end with the next round.
