Stormrage Depths (Normal) - Engineer Pikachu and Danmantincan (COMPLETED)

You slowly procede through the damp tunnel down the depths of the mountain, illuminating your path with enchanted torches you acquired in the New Dawn fortress. Sometimes you hear ominous noises echoing through the stale air, but you think they probably are caused by bats or similar creatures. The ground is coursed by light quakes every now and then, but nothing which makes you worry about. As you make your way down, your torches illuminate a fascinating limestone cave, similar to an ancestral sculpture which lies buried into the earth for ages. A Zubat flies above your head, making you wonder how there could be life even in a place like this.

As you walk carefully between the white stalagmites, the cavern slowly widens in a particularly large vault, with some stalactites scattered on the ceiling. You are unsure whether to going on or not - maybe the cause of the seismic waves Lance was looking for is not even here. All you can see around you are rocks, barren floors with few damp spots here and there. After a while, you decide to come back, but all of a sudden, a horrible shriek echoes through the cavern! You look around frantically, then, as you turn your eyes above your heads, the figure of a menacing winged creature comes out of the shadows! You ready your Poké Balls, in the face of the new threat.

Ok, let's do this Skrimir and Nephenee!

Skirmir, start off with a Flame Charge to get the speed advantage, then hit Aerodactyl with a Thunder Fang.

Nephenee, start with a Growth, then smack Aerodactyl with a Hidden Power Rock.

EDIT: I'm not sure if it's too late to give the items for my Pokemon, but if it isn't, I'd like to give Nephenee a Leppa Berry, and Skrimir an Oran Berry.

This Aerodactyl is not what we expected, but let's try our best anyways!

Ilyana, start out by blasting this fossil with some rocks. Nothing flying likes rocks, so we're guaranteed to get something good out of it. Finish it off by helping Skirmir with his Thunder Fang. Tanka, we're going to prove that you're not entirely useless :p Start out with a Reflect to aid your allies, then scatter some poison over Aerodactyl.

Ilyana: Rock Blast - Helping Hand; Stay close to Tanka
Tanka: Reflect - PoisonPowder

@Danmantican: I forgot to tell Aerodactyl's ability in Normal mode is Unnerve, hence I don't think those Leppa Berries would help you much.

The ferocious creature flies over the Pokémon's heads for an instant, before taking into the air at blinding speed, avoiding the barrage of rocks thrown by Ilyana and the fiery charge of Skirmir. Nephenee strengthen her verdant forces, while Taunka erects a transparent barrier to protect herself and her allies - just in time, as Aerodactyl dives upon her with a devastating blow.

The prehistoric bird now starts glowing intensely. Ilyana helps Skirmir maneuvering, as the Arcanine bites the foe with his charged fangs. Nephenee resorts to her secret powers to wound the opponent, while Taunka sprays noxious spores over him. Aerodactyl, unphazed by these attacks, suddendly opens his wings wide, and leaps over the Bulbasaur with impressive might.

Not the greatest start.

Skrimir will use Wild Charge, then another Thunder Fang.
Nephenee will start with a Power Whip, followed by another Hidden Power

I'll pretend that Bulbasaur isn't so badly hurt...

Tanka, go ahead and attempt to heal yourself with Leech Seed. Then, deal some damage with Venom Shock.
Ilyana, do the same thing as last round: Rock Blast -> Helping Hand (Arcanine)

Once again, the prehistoric monstrosity starts glowing in a white light, unphazed by the inaccurate assaults of Ilyana and Nephenee. Skrimir furiously charges into him, powered with electricity, while the little Tanka seeds the foe to sap some much needed HP. Nothing of this is comparable to Aerodactyl's devastating attack, though, which leaves the Venusaur heavily wounded.

The Rock-type flier shrouds another time in blinding light, but this time his anger is pointed at the Arcanine. Nephenee pays the last hit back with her secret forces, while Ilyana and Skrimir tries again the successful one-two of last time. Largely unnoticed, Tanka smacks the enemy igniting his toxins from within. And then Aerodactyl strikes, but thankfully the reflecting barrier helps Skrimir absorbing the hit without worse consequences.

Ok, so at least Nephenee doesn't have aggro any more....

I want her to start with a Growth followed by a Giga Drain to take back some of that health.

I want Skrimir to use Flame Charge, then Thunder Fang.

Sigh, you really have to stop missing.

Ilyana, go for a Rock Blast. Follow that up with an Aqua Tail. Hopefully Reflect will protect you...

Tanka, try Chilling as a preparation, then go for a GIGA POWAH WHIP.

Aerodactyl attacks the Arcanine once again, with rocky appendages which would completely maim him if it weren't for the protective barrier covering him. Ilyana tries once again to strike the foe with a barrage of rocks - and this time his aim is good enough. Skrimir shrouds himself in fire and charges the enemy with incredible agility, while the two Grass-type Pokémon prepare themselves for the aftermath, one chilling, the other growing in power.

Skrimir, strong with his new speed, bites ferociously the prehistoric bird with electric might, but the opponent retaliates with an ancestral force which knocks back the Arcanine. Ilyana jumps and whips the foe with his dampened tail, while Nephenee saps a huge amount of like and Tanka delivers a mighty blow with his vines.

This just keeps getting worse and worse.

Skrimir, use Wild Charge, then hit Aerodactyl with a Reversal

Nephenee, go with a Hidden Power Rock, then use Giga Drain.

Tanka, start off by summoning Reflect again (if I have to choose someone to exclude, Ilyana gets the boot), then POWER WHIP.

Ilyana, since you haven't taken any damage... use Rock Blast, then Bullet Seed. Yeah.

Suddendly, Aerodactyl emits a horrible shriek which leaves all the Pokémon dazed. Skrimir, Ilyana and Tanka simply stick around, clueless. Only Nephenee manages to act, firing off his secret power at the opponent.

But this last attack drew the prehistoric bird's attention, who now starts glowing menacingly. Skrimir pull off a desperate attack, but it doesn't prove to be really effective. The other three mates remain idle, unable to move. Aerodactyl does not wait, though, and with his wings wide open, he dives on Nephenee, leaving her severely wounded.

AHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Ilyana, Helping Hand the Hidden Power, then use a Hidden Power.

Tanka, you're screwed, so Razor Leaf -> Vine Whip

Aerodactyl immediately takes into the air, dodging Skrimir's fiery charge as well as Nephenee and Tanka's natural assaults. Ilyana instead simply sticks around, dazed. After a few moments, the prehistoric bird dives on the Venusaur, leaving a deep wound in her battered body.

However, Aerodactyl is not done yet, and before the team can counterattack, he flies high once again - dodging the assault of all the four Pokémon. The subsequent aftermath on Nephenee almost makes her faint, but she still hangs on.

Aerodactyl starts glowing, ready to finish Nephenee. Ilyana jumps and slaps him, while Skrimir charges him bathed in flames, but neither of the two manages to leave a remarkable dent. The Venusaur is more effective with his hidden force, while the same cannot be sade for Tanka's barrage of leaves. Aerodactyl however is unphazed by this offense and dives on Nephenee, knocking her out.

Now faster than the prehistoric bird, the Arcanine bites into him with electrified canines, while the Cinccino resorts to her own hidden power to stop the assault. As Aerodactyl starts glowing once again, Tanka attempts to repel him whipping with his vines, but the opponent doesn't seem to care and leaps over him, wounding him deeply. Thankfully though, the effects of Aerodactyl's screech seems to have faded at last...

Yeah, let's die in style.

According to the General Thread, you can't use a substitution in the form "If the Boss uses X." Is it possible to use a substitution in the form of "If the Boss used X"?

Tanka, use Leech Seed, then Reflect. If Aero USED Defeaning Screech on Action 1, replace your actions with Razor Leaf - Vine Whip (irrelevant if illegal)
Ilyana, Rock Blast x2

@ Engineer: yes, that's a valid substitution.

Thanks to his high speed, Skrimir manages to bite into the opponent's wings and draw his attention. Irritated, Aerodactyl smashes him with all his might, knocking the Arcanine back. Ilyana promptly avenges him with a barrage of rocks, while Tanka plants another batch of seeds into the foe to sap some more life back.

Skrimir, put in a difficult situation, retaliates at his best, but he doesn't manage to hurt much the enemy. Aerodactyl charges him again, but he hurts himself in the process. The Cinccino keeps launching stones at the foe while the Bulbasaur shields the remaining members of the party in a protective barrier which should lessen the damage incurred by the prehistoric bird's violent onslaught.

Aerodactyl launches a devastating beam of energy at Skrimir, who barely manages to endure it without fainting and retaliates with a fiery charge. Ilyana takes some time to chill out the last efforts, while Tanka cripples further the prehistoric fossil with venom.

Now faster than his opponent, the Arcanine desperately conveys all his hatred against his opponent in one heavy blow, but in response Aerodactyl shrieks again, leaving the Cinccino and the Bulbasaur dazed.
