- Out of the 3 Spore users, it is the bulkiest.
- Low speed allows it to function in trick room
- Not outclassed by Shroomish because of Clear Smog
- Struggles to not be outclassed by other Grass-types

[SET COMMENTS]
- Spore is the key to the set, without it you are better off using another Grass type.
- Clear Smog stops weaker set-up sweepers from boosting.
- Giga Drain is your main attacking move, keeping Foongus near full HP
- Hidden Power Fire is for Ferroseed and any Grass types that aren't weak to Clear Smog
- Eviolite is required to stop it from being outclassed by Shroomish
- Ev Spread gives you 26/19/21 Defences.

Hidden Power Ice can be used to get the jump on Gligar

- A double powder set with stun spore can be used but it outclassed by other grass types.
[Checks and Counters]
Hard to counter due to Spore
- Mankey can switch in and fire off a power Rock Slide/Fire Punch
- Gligar can switch in on anything but Spore
- Scraggy can hit it with Ice Punch
