I was looking for adventure as always, traveling the world with by Rebble to fulfill his greatest desire. I came across an abandoned warehouse, a huge place that was uninhabited for years. It was a fancy home, obviously someone wealthy once lived here. Most of the rooms were locked, but that didn't stop me from exploring... and what did I find but two trainers about to battle? GoldenKnight and Fire Blast stared each other down as they prepared to fight. I knew I had to see this, so I sat down in a chair with my trusty journal and my Rebble and began documenting this battle.

Lather, rinse, repeat...

ok, we'll start out with Togetic and Duskull

Togetic: Let's try to get that Combusken out early. We'll go ahead and use Yawn on Combusken and follow that out with a Psychoshock on it. We can finish the round off by using Flamethrower on Shelgon, hoping for Serene Grace to help us :p

Duskull: First off, disable shadow claw if it's used. Alright, let's go ahead and start off with a Trick Room since our stuff is slower than theirs. We can use Psychic on Combusken twice to finish stuff up

Pytho, start with a Leer on both opponents. Then Dragon Dance, and follow witha Rock Slide. If Rock Slide fails, replace it with a Dragon Claw on Togekiss.

007, Swords Dance, Shadow Claw on Duskull, Night Slash on Duskull.

Warehouse Battle: Entry 1

Trainers choose the most unusual places for battle, just to stay true to the honor code of battling when eyes meet. This time, it happened at an abandoned warehouse that was once the envy of all its neighbors. I recognized the trainers immediately as Golden Knight and Fire Blast, henceforth GK and FB, though I have met neither formally. FB sent out a Combusken named 007, and a Shelgon named Pytho, while GK led with a Togetic and Duskull, both of which kept their birth names. Pythos starts the round by casting a fierce leer through his shell, a cold glare that pierced the souls of Duskull and Togetic, lowering their defense. 007 follows this up by performing the Japanese dance of the swords, allowing its mystical qualities to raise his attack. I was very impressed by the technique, but apparently Togetic wasn't, judging by her yawn. Not even 007's new adrenaline kept him from getting drowsy. Duskull performed a trick of his own; he set up a trick room that reversed the speed of everyone in the arena!

Duskull, thanks to the Trick Room, went first this time, hitting 007 with psychic energy. Duskull seemed to be the most pumped, because his psychic was so strong that it was a critical hit! Togetic followed Duskull's lead with a psyshock on 007. After taking that second attack, 007 was pissed off, and was ready to strike back His claws enshrouded in shadow, 007 slashed Duskull with fierce critical energy! Duskull reeled back in pain. Pythos, meanwhile, did a little dragon dance while being ignored, boosting his attack but effectively lowering his speed due to Trick Room.

Duskull, wishing to be rid of that shadowy nightmare, enterd 007's deepest thoughts and disabled his ability to use such an attack. Togetic then fired a flamethrower at Pythos, ending his dancing, but unfortunately for Togetic, no flames lingered. Though I did smell the horrid stench of smoke. Soon after, Duskull's eyes widened in fear as he came to the shocking realization that his disable didn't work! 007's claws were enshrouded in dark energy once again! Turns out though that instead of the previous attack, this was a night slash! Just like the Shadow Claw, this force struck Duskull with critical impact!
So ended round one... After waiting too long to be noticed, Pythos leaped into the fray with amazing fury, and slashed Togetic with a dragon claw! Keeping up a trend on this battlefield with slashing moves, the mark left after the blow was critical, and Togetic seemed in a great deal of pain! So ended round one... the Pokemon and their respective trainers huddled together to discuss the next round's strategy, while I watched intently.

Order of Operations: Duskull-Togetic-007-Pytho

mm/dd/yy

Warehouse Battle: Entry 2

Once a regal mansion with a creepy air to it, the feel of the battlefield changed significantly with Trick Room; red lines run through the place like a 3-D graph, giving the place a computerized feel. I knew what it meant; the order of actions would be reduced for a long time. Pytho would likely never go first again, I thought, but only time could tell. Duskull began the round by linking its spiritual energy (all of it) to that of Pytho. I noticed an exchange of energy between them, and when it ceased, I was surprised to see that their HP became the same! Duskull was worn out tremendously from the effort needed to pull off such a maneuver, which made me wonder if it was even worth it. Togetic went next, creating a wave of psycho energy and shocking 007 with it! I saw 007 reeling back in pain; he was clearly injured. His own tiredness was beginning to come over him, but in one final attack before slumber, 007's claws became enshrouded in darkness once more, and a night slash struck Duskull. As a way of going out with a bang, the attack was a critical hit! Pytho exacted his own revenge against Duskull with a strong dragon claw which looks like it really hurt. 007's last thoughts were happy thoughts of pride for Pytho, before falling into a light sleep. (1 action)

Duskull wasted no time launching a shadow ball at Pytho to get some damage in. Togetic shared the same sentiment; immediately shocking the asleep 007 with psycho energy! The attack caught sleeping chicken off guard, delivering a critical hit! Pytho jumped in to defend his helpless comrade against Togetic... or settle his score with Duskull with another Dragon Claw, it was one or the other. The rivalry between the two suggests that they're reincarnations of a Zangoose and a Seviper. Maybe.

For the third and final exchange of attacks before the next huddle for strategy, Duskull and Togetic attempted to use confuse ray in tandem with extrasensory to ensure 007 doesn't wake up. However, Duskull got overexcited and started to move faster, so thanks to Trick Room, Togetic fired her attack first! In a moment of sheer irony, the combo wasn't even needed; the extrasensory rendered 007 unable to battle while Confuse Ray was a complete waste of energy. Pytho didn't care one inch about the fall of 007, and instead settled his score with Duskull; a dragon claw left Duskull unable to battle. With that, the round ended. Duskull and 007 were called back and the time had come for strategy talk.

Sending out Samsung!!

Samsung, start with a Will-O-Wisp on Fraxure. Then phaze into the refrigerator and turn into Rotom-F! Then fire a Blizzard at both opponents.

If Will-O-Wisp misses, use Reflect and then Shock Wave on Togekiss.
If you are Taunted, use Shock Wave on Togekiss, Hex on Fraxure, Shock Wave on Togekiss.

Pytho, use Dragon Claw on Fraxure, Double-Edge on Togekiss, Dragon Claw on Fraxure.

Counter all Outrages from Fraxure!

Fraxure: We're gonna have to make sure that WoW misses, so use Dig on Samsung, especially since Mold Breaker is nifty. After that we might as well use Taunt on Samsung to shut Reflect down. We'll finish up with a Counter on Pytho.

Togetic: Start out with a Psychoshock on Pytho and use Ancientpower on Samsung directly after that. We can finish up with a Psychoshock on Samsung

GK: Dig will hit regardless of mold breaker; Levitate only gives immunities to three moves in ASB: EQ, Magnitude, and Bulldoze.

Warehouse Battle: Entry 3

The battle was getting more exciting every minute. GK sent out a Fraxure named Xerxes, while BF went with a Rotom named Samsung. Due to the trick room, Togetic had the speed lead, so she struck Pytho with a strong psychock. Pytho, as usual, doesn't give a flying crap about who attacked him and instead attacked Togetic's partner with a dragon claw. Again, as usual for Pytho, the attack struck with critical force! Man, that never gets old. However, doing the same attack over and over again seems to be taking its toll on Pytho; he was getting noticeably tired because of it. Xerxes didn't respond well to the attack either; seemingly out of fear of another dragon claw to the face, he chose to dig away. Luckily for him, he dug at the perfect time; Samsung fired a will-o-wisp at him, but it missed because of a well-timed dig. Realizing there's no more danger for the time being, Xerxes came out of the ground and his Samsung on his way up!

Togetic then tried something new and very exciting to watch: she called forth energy from the power of the ancients, and unleashed this power on Samsung! This power was so great, it could only be described as a critical hit! There seemed to be a lot of these in this battle... Pytho responded by finally targeting Togetic with an attack! With double-edged fury, he rammed into Togetic with all his might! Xerxes, being the immature prevo that he is, gloated over his "brilliant" dodge of that will-o-wisp from earlier and taunted Samsung! Samsung was so hurt and enraged by the taunt that she froze up, unable to move!

Togetic, realizing that the previous flashy display of awesome power wasn't quite so effective, stuck to her tried-and-true formula and conjured up a psyshock, though this time hitting Samsung with it. Pytho returned to his own one-dimensional strategy and struck Xerxes with a dragon claw, once again producing something truly critical! It was always so cool to see Pytho score crits time and time again. Samsung recalled his orders and realized that there was no confusion. He sighed, presumably due to his master mistaking Togetic for a Togekiss, and fired a shock wave at her. I wondered what happened to Xerxes, until I saw that reddish-brown aura surrounding him. I smirked, knowing exactly what was coming: Pytho getting owned by a COUNTER! Oh yeah! After that display of awesome, I noticed that Pytho was noticeably tired, on the verge of fainting. When it was time to huddle for strategy talk, He limped back to GK, going much slower than the healthy Samsung.

ok

Fraxure: Let's keep it simple with Dig -> Night Slash -> Dig on samsung

Togetic: We'll finish Pytho up with a Psychoshock before hitting Samsung with an Ancient Power and using Morning Sun

edit: oh if anything changes i guess i'll fix my actions for that :S

If Will-O-Wisp misses, use Reflect and then Shock Wave on Togekiss.
If you are Taunted, use Shock Wave on Togekiss, Hex on Fraxure, Shock Wave on Togekiss.

There was a conflict between your substitutions (Hex becauser you got taunted, Reflect because WOW missed) so you didn't do anything. Dem's da rules.

Togetic-Pytho-Xerxes-Samsung

Warehouse Battle: Entry 4

Pytho could barely stand, let alone walk or move. His vitality and energy were at an unhealthy low. I worried deeply for the poor Shelgon, but there was nothing I could do to stop the inevitable; a final psyshock was enough to finish him off. Samsung stood alone against a vicious Togetic and Fraxure. Xerxes quickly dug another hole into the floor, just in time to avoid Samsung's retaliation: it filled itself to the brim with electrical energy, and discharged all of it. This joy of unleashing all that power was short lived; out came Xerxes with his dig!

Togetic tried once again to summon the power of ancient to damage Samsung, but it didn't do much at at all. Xerxes was much more effective with his night slash, though, which really left a mark. Once again, Samsung struck back with a fearsome discharge of power; enough to cripple both Togetic and Xerxes with level 4 paralysis! (20%)

Samsung was in a tight spot and needed a miracle to survive long enough to finish off an equally battered-down Togetic. A miracle is exactly what Samsung got; both Togetic and Xerxes were fully paralyzed, allowing Samsung to discharge its raw electricity once more. This left Togetic unable to battle. With each side once again losing a Pokemon, it was apparent that the battle was starting to come to an end.

Samsung, Hex Fraxure until you die.

Forest Fire, Leech Seed Fraxure, Earth Power Fraxure, Giga Drain Larvitar.

Counter any X-Scissors from Fraxure.

still unhappy!

Fraxure: I can't think of a way to avoid leech seed, so we'll have to use Dig on Samsung with that in mind... at least it lets us avoid hex. We'll then use Dual Chop and Night Slash i guess

Larvitar: I'm not too sure how much power you can give us, so we'll start out supporting by using Toxic on Forest Fire. We'll then use Rock Slide on the same target since Samsung will be knocked out and follow up with a Protect.

The battle's coming to an end; this is a 4v4 doubles, so you both are on your last 2 Pokemon. Just letting you guys know, because I forgot for a second there xD

Xerxes-Larvitar-Forest Fire-Samsung

mm/dd/yy

Warehouse Battle: Entry 5

Both GB and FB send out their last Pokemon; GK sent out his Larvitar, while FB opted with Forest Fire, a Flamaple. Or so I thought; as I heard his battle cry I realized that the species was actually called Flarelm, but damnit, I'm sticking to Flamaple because it sounds cooler. Anyway, Xerxes took advantage of his paralyzed body coupled with Trick Room to dig underground before I even had the chance to blink. Larvitar rushed in and created a ball of toxic materials out of thin air. He then threw it at Forest Fire, badly poisoning the Flamaple. Desperately, Forest Fire shot some leech seeds down the hole, joined by Samsung's hex, but neither could keep up with Xerxes' curved digging hole and both attacks failed! Finally, Xerxes came out of the whole and attacked Samsung! The attack caught the Rotom off guard, not only causing a critical hit but also leaving Samsung unable to battle! FB recalled Samsung, knowing full well that Forest Fire was on his own against Xerxes and Larvitar, and badly poisoned to boot. Those toxins started to react in the Flamaple's body, causing noticeable pain. I made a mental note to offer medical services after the battle if FB won, though if Forest Fire were to faint the poison would be immediately cured.

Xerxes was ready for more action. He rushed over to Forest Fire and smacked him around with a dual strike of mystical karate chops! Larvitar assisted his partner by making the structure of the upper floor even more damaged; some of it crumbled and became the ammo for a rock slide! Because apparently nobody but me cared about this antique house, Forest Fire unleashed the fury of his earth power upon Xerxes! In what could be the start of a comeback, the attack was a critical hit! Such triumph was short-lived, though; Forest Fire once again suffered from that ever-growing toxic.

Xerxes rushed into battle again and delivered a powerful night slash with critical force that was a running theme in this battle. Larvitar created a green barrier of energy to protect himself from an anticipated attack. He was correct; Forest Fire attempted to giga drain him, but the attack only drained the energy field! Forest Fire recovered no health from that attack, but he did take pain from his internal toxic buildup.

oh right paralysis is fun with speed, good thing that doesn't help now!

Fraxure: X-Scissor -> Dual Chop -> X-Scissor

Larvitar: If Forest Fire uses Giga Drain, go ahead and use Protect. Other than that, we might as well go with Rock Slide -> Scary Face -> Rock Slide.
