Clone Wars: 1v1 DOUBLES, Fire Blast vs Jasnumbers! (Ref DA8828)

Status
Not open for further replies.
K, time for yet another battle!

This is a 1v1 Doubles!! (Yes, 1v1 Doubles)
5 Chills/2 Recoveries Total
2 Day DQ for both players & ref

Arena: Mewtwo was created by cloning Mew's cells. This battle will take place there. When your single pokemon enters the chemicals in the air will clone it, creating 2 of the same pokemon. They are two separate pokemon, they each get 3 actions, and must be targeted separately. The pokemon used will gain twice as much counters however. When ordering, players will have a <Pokemon> #1 and <Pokemon> #2. Before the battle starts, the player will tell the ref which one is the real one. In order to win, the real one must be knocked out, regardless of the state of the clone is in.

Btw, i want to battle someone new, so please accept only if I have not battled you.

I'll do this.

Switch = Maybe....

Lets fight fire with fire.

Go! Quilava #1 and Quilava #2

Which ever one of you ends up being faster I want to use Ember on the other to activate Flash Fire. The slower one should then scorch both opponents with a massive Eruption.

Then, since two Quilava is not nearly enough, I want both of you to create 2 clones with Double Team.

Finally, Quilava # 1 should set down a Smokescreen near Forest Fire #1 while Quilava #2 should Flamethrower Forest Fire 2.

Quilava #1: Ember (Quilava #2)/Eruption (Forest Fire #1 & #2) - Double Team (2 clones) - Smokescreen (Forest Fire #1)
Quilava #2: Ember
(Quilava #1)/Eruption (Forest Fire #1 & #2) - Double Team (2 clones) - Flamethrower (Forest Fire #2)
(First to move on turn 1 Embers, second to move Erupts)

Forest Fire #1: Leech Seed the one that uses Eruption~Toxic the one that used Ember~Earth Power the one that used Eruption

Forest Fire#2: Protect~Earth Power~Leech Seed

Today I will bastardize someone else's format.

Round 1: Seeing Double

Action 1:

I'm pretty sure that we're in Mewtwo's Cloning Lab. Or inside Mewtwo. Anyway, the pokemon multiply in a flash of light, and we see TWO Flarelm and TWO Quilava! Whoa!

Forest Fire II Protects herself with a magic shield, wary of the coming onslaught. Quilava (henceforth known as Quilly) (how would you like being called "Human" all the time) I begins the round with an Ember at his partner? What is this treachery? Oh, it looks like Quilly II doesn't take any offense, the attack not only does no damage, it activates Flash Fire, boosting the power of Quilly II's fire moves! Strategy!!! Quilly II harnesses this awesome power to fire off a powerful Eruption! Lucky for Forest Fire II, it doesn't even singe him through his protection. Not so much for Forest Fire I, but he's still with us as well, aiming a Leech Seed at Quilly II, seeding him with parasitic plants! Apparently they're fireproof, as they turn into piles of ashes after being wreathed in Quilly II's flames.

Action 2:

Quilly I and Quilly II create Two (2) Double Team clones each! It's gonna be hard to determine the real ones, huh? Forest Fire I tries his best, aiming a Toxic at the nearest one. Does it work? Of course not! The clone poofs out of existance, to Forest Fire I's irritation. Forest Fire II is confused at his trainer's directions. Where the heck is he supposed to aim? He doesn't know, for sure, and fails to do anything at all!

Action 3:

Inhaling sharply, Quilly I and his new illusionary buddies breathe out a giant Smokescreen at Forest Fire I, reducing his accuracy by limiting his vision beneath a cloak of thick ash! One enemy covered, Quilly II and co. turn on the other, blasting Forest Fire II with a Flamethrower! Forest Fire I uses his other keen senses to locate his opponent, locking on and, against all odds, slamming Quilly II with an Earth Power! The surprised Quilava's clones disappear with a poof as he reels from the deadly attack. Meanwhile, you gotta feel a bit sorry for Forest Fire I, he still can't figure out what to do, fail yet again!

Round 2: Here Comes The Sun (Doo Doo Doo Doo)

Action 1:

Quilly I fires off another powerful Eruption! That can't feel good for Forest Fire and co! Quilly II decides that there isn't enough heat in here, and increases the sun's rays to blinding with a Sunny Day! Forest Fire II, being a fire-type, like his name suggests, feels right at home in the searing heat, and hits Quilly II with an Earth Power! Fresh and full of energy from his time idling on the battlefield, the attack strikes hard, much to Quilly II's discomfort. Not to be outdone, Forest Fire I unleashes a Toxic gas on Quilly I, inflicting deadly poison! That's sure to be a turnoff of repeatedly using Eruption in the future! His clone fades away into nothingness, leaving only two Quilava on the field once more.

Action 2:

As of now, though, Quilly I is doing quite well, harnessing the power of the sun and his activated Flash Fire to maim both his opponents with another powerful Eruption! Even with their fieriness, that is one powerful attack. Quilly II, content to let his partner do all the heavy hitting, coughs up another Smokescreen at Forest Fire II, cloaking everything in sight behind a wall of black ash, reducing Forest Fire II's accuracy! Forest Fire I, smarting from the barrage of lava and heated rock, strengthens his team's defenses with a Light Screen. Forest Fire II aims a Leech Seed at Quilly I, but in a bizaare example of something that isn't irony, it missed! How odd that the one behind a smokescreen was more accurate than the other, in very clear weather? Weird.

Action 3:

Quilly II must be fed up with defense and evasive tactics, racing towards Forest Fire II and tackling him with a powerful Flare Blitz! Boredom can be a surprisingly powerful motivator. For instance, I, the ref, was bored before I started doing this. Uh, on topic, Quilly I follows up with another Eruption! That's got to be doing numbers on his energy! Both of his opponents are still in the game, though, and Forest Fire I demonstrates with a Toxic! It would have been a better demonstration if it didn't miss. Poor Fire Blast and co don't seem to be lucky with their hits, huh? Forest Fire II doesn't seem to be so unfortunate right now, his Earth Power hits true to Quilly I, the powerful burst of geo-pressure dealing MASSIVE DAMAGE in a critical hit! Intense.

jas go

Well, that second Forest Fire is pretty weak. No idea if it is real or not, but there is only one way to fine out. Both of you Flare Blitz it, and if I did calcs right, that should take it out. After that, just power right through them with more attacks. However, if FF2 tries to protect itself, both fire Smokescreens at FF1 instead and Flare Blitz on turn 2.

Quilava #1 and #2: Flare Blitz (FF2) - Flame Wheel (FF2, unless it is KOd) - Flamethrower (FF1)
If FF2 protects, Smokescreens on FF1 and push back other actions

First turn, Forest Fire #1 should jump in front of Forest Fire #2 blocking both Flare Blitzes, and use Counter on Quilly #1. Meanwhile, Forest Fire #2 should use Synthesis to recover back some HP. Then, Forest Fire #2 should take the Flame Wheels and use Counter on Quilly #2 while Forest Fire #1 uses Earth Power on Quilly #1. Then, Forest Fire #2 should use Earth Power on the weaker Quilly, while Forest Fire#1 Chills.

Forest Fire #1: Bodyblock FF#2 and Counter Q#1 ~ Earth Power Q#1 ~ Chill
Forest Fire #2: Synthesis ~ Counter (Q#2) ~ Earth Power (Weaker Q)

If that fails:

Forest Fire #1: Protect FF#2 ~ Earth Power Q#1 ~ Chill
Forest Fire #2: Synthesis ~ Counter (Q#1) ~ Earth Power (Q#2)

If Bodyblocking and using Counter/Protect uses 2 actions, then don't Chill.

THE SUN IS FLASHING ROUND 3!!!

So I, Acklow, am walking along the sidewalk on Cinnabar Island. And right there is an old abandoned mansion. Looks like Mewtwo was cloned there or something like that. That's kinda freaky. Oh well...
As I'm walking along I notice that two trainers: Fire Blast and jas61292 are in a major face-off. Their Pokemon (wait there are two copies of each? WHAT???!!!!) seem like they've been in a major tussle. I guess this is a great time to investigate on the progress of the battle. I mean, a little curiousity never hurt anybody...(except the cat...hehehe)

So Quilly I and II aren't about to let Forest Fire II get away with anything funny right now. They quickly Flare Blitz their opponent. Forest Fire I doesn't seem to want this to happen, so he tries to bodyblock and Counter the attack. Unfortunately, both Quillys were able to avoid the counter. But Quilly II just happened to run into Forest Fire I instead of Forest Fire II. The attack of course causes them to get hurt due to recoil. Forest Fire II decided that it would be a good time to take advantage of the sunshine and use its process of Synthesis to heal up.

Quilly I and II keep their assault going on Forest Fire II, this time Flame Wheeling at their opponent. Forest Fire II Counters Quilly II's attack, but doesn't do the same to Quilly I's. Forest Fire I fires an Earth Power bolt at Quilly I. It is super effective, but with that Light Screen in place, it is hard to get too much damage down.

Quilly I and II turn their attention to Forest Fire I, this time blasting it in an inferno of Flamethrower. Forest Fire I for some odd reason chills. Forest Fire II, however, fires an Earth Power bolt at Quilly II for some super effective damage.

Sigh, why did Counter have to miss??

If attacked with a Flare Blitz action 1 (actions for both FFs):

Protect~Earth Power #2~Protect

If not:

Earth Power #2~Earth Power weaker one~Protect

Well, if I remember the calcs I did a few days ago correctly, then I believe a Flare Blitz may be enough to take them out. So lets just do that. Match up 1 on 1 (and 2 on 2) and Flare Blitz to draw the Protect, then hopefully end this with another pair of FBs. And if not, use Flame Wheel and finish them

Quilava #1: Flare Blitz (on #1) - Flare Blitz (on #1) - Flame Wheel (on #1)
Quilava #2: Flare Blitz
(on #2) - Flare Blitz (on #2) - Flame Wheel (on #2)

THE SUN HAS SET ROUND 4!!!

So ends the battle between Fire Blast and jas61292.

Congrats jas, you win!!!

I don't want to go into too many details, but the real clone for Fire Blast was FF1, which of course you were able to take out Action 2.

I wish I could've reffed some more, but alas, I was only a subref. Anyways good game you two. I hope to ref you two sometime in the future (in a full match, not a half of a match).
