"Here we are, Thor...the DRAGON'S DEN."

Thor: "Cyclohm?"

"...don't look at me like that, the bolding and caps were absolutely necessary. It is a sacred place of great power and it needs to be treated accordingly. Understand?"

Thor: "Cyclohm."

"Good. Anyway...let's get inside and explore the DRAGON'S DEN"

"Oh, nice touch Thor! The thunder ad---wait a minute, I thought we would be the only ones here. There are two trainers ready to battle on these holy grounds! HEY"

Athen and Venser: "WHAT? We are in the middle of something here"

"I assume you are about to start a pokemon battle, right? Can I ref?"

Athen and Venser: "Sure"

"Great, now tell me your names and your pokes".

Yeah, i'm using the same ones as last time. GO CYCLOHM AND BRELOOM

Well I'm not. I think it is time for Astraea the Starmie and Nidhogg the Dragonite to come out to play!

149.png
121.png

Right you two, we're going to try to just do exactly the same thing as last time (albeit without Venser being an idiot, ideally). Astraea, you can start off by performing a Rain Dance, after which Nidhogg can hit Breloom with a Gale. Then, Astraea can hit Breloom with a Psychic attack, after which Dragonite can peg it with another Gale. Finally, you can both do those last two moves again to try to finish it off. If Breloom uses Spore at any time, if it is against Astraea it should use Magic Coat and if it is against Nidhogg he should use Substitute (25). Either way, they should just move each action along to compensate. Finally, if Breloom gets knocked out (as is highly likely), Starmie should switch to using Ice Beam against Cyclohm until the end of the round, and Dragonite should switch to using Outrage against Cyclohm until the end of the round.

Good luck guys!

wooooooo.

Okay. hmmm. I'm pretty sure it would be awesome if Breloom got Mirror Coat. Oh well. Plan of action!

Breloom, act like you're going to shoot out Spores at Starmie but instead launch a bullet seed. Cyclohm can take this action to fire off a Gale at Dragonite. Then, Breloom, Bullet Seed Starmie and Cyclohm, Thunder Starmie. Finish again by Bullet Seeding Starmie while Cyclohm Thunders.

Let's try this and see how we do.

Breloom: Feign Spores at Starmie [Bullet Seed Starmie] ~ Bullet Seed Starmie ~ Bullet Seed Starmie
Cyclohm: Gale Dragonite ~ Thunder Starmie ~ Thunder Starmie

Public Service Announcement: Venser told me by PM that Turtle the Breloom will use Effect Spore and Technician, and Swells the Cyclohm will use Shield Dust and Sheer Force. Athenodoros still needs to tell the abilities Astrea will use. I'll assume it will use Illuminate and Nature Cure (mostly because both won't affect at all the battle).

Round 1

*Thor the Cyclohm, also feeling the special aura of the Dragon's Den, holds its head high, proudly*

"Oh, I see you are feeling it too. This place has a special power that enhances the performance of Dragon Pokemon. It doesn't change the power of attacks, but it makes them more aware of the surroudings and the orders, leaving them less propense of missing an attack or hitting itself in confusion, among other things"

Thor: "Cyclohm"

"And apparently both trainers have Dragons of their own, as well as other very powerful pokes. Venser is using Swells the Cyclohm with Sheer Force and Shield Dust and Turtle the Breloom with Effect Spore and Technician. Athenodoc is using Nidhogg with Multiscale and Inner Focus and Astrea the Starmie with god-knows-which-abilities...Really powerful pokemon...*gulp*. Hey Thor, disable your Static for me, k?"

Thor: "Cyclohm? Cyc."

"Thanks"

*Jumps into Thor's fluffy clouds, with only the head out, like some 4-headed freak monster*

Thor: "CYCLOHM! CYC CYC CYCLOHM" (Translation: getoffme getoff getooooff!)

"Hey, where is your proudness! Be a good pokemon and protect your master!"

Thor: "CYC! Cyclohm" (Translation: BAH! Allright)

"Allright, let's get started!"

Action 1

Astrea starts the battle by performing some mystical dance to summon rain. Turtle even threatens to use Spore, trying to break the Starmie's concentration, but it wasn't tricked by that, Finishing sucessfully its Rain Dance

The rains starts to pour and seriously endanger my well-being, since it conducts electricity changing dramatically the battle conditions. Taking advantage of that, Nidhogg starts to roooock like a Hurricane, flaping its wings and creating a very powerful wind that strikes Turtle with full force severely damaging it. And to add insult to injury, Turtle seems confused!

At almost the exact same time, Swells the Cyclohm uses Hurricane as well, this time on the Dragonite. While it hits and takes away my cap as well >_< it doesn't crit or induce confusion. I guess Athenodance is a lucky fellow!

To finalize, the still-confused Breloom is trying to remember his orders. Should he use Bullet Seed or bang his head on the wall? Bullet Seed and Hitting himself? Bullet Seed or severe brain damage?

Turtle: "Breloomlololoom" (Translation: Bullet Seed gogogooo)

3 seeds are shot right at Astrea dealing considerable damage, specially due to Turtle's great Technique.

Speed tie RNG (1-Swells and 2-Nidhogg): 2 (Nidhogg goes first)

Starmie:
Rain Dance: -9 energy

Dragonite:
Hurricane: (12 (bp) + 3 (stab) + 4.5 (rank dif))2.25 (x4 weak) = 43.87 (44) damage for 7 energy
Critical RNG (1/16 yes) = 12/16 (no)
Confusion RNG (1-3/10 yes) = 2/10 (yes)

Cyclohm:
Hurricane: 12 (bp) + 0 (rank dif) /2 (Multiscale) = 6 damage for 8 energy
Critical RNG (1/16 yes) = 2/16 (no)
Confusion RNG (1-3/10 yes)= 5/10 (no)

Breloom:
Confusion (1/2 - attacks fine) = 1/2 (attacks fine)
Bullet Seed (RNG : 2/4 - 3 hits): (12 (3*4 due to technician) + 3 (stab) + 4 (rank dif))1.5 (x2 weak) = 28.5 (29) damage for 8 energy
Critical RNG (1/16 yes) = 14/16 (no)

In a nutshell, the pokemon can't use the substitution move due to a simple stance or movement. If that were the case, a substitution for Spore would apply if you used any other kind of powder move, as well as Stun Spore...even without you telling to feign. If the situation was different (say, a really dark enviroment) and/or the move used next was similar (so the opponent could see something that at least looks like spores, making a confusion more plausible) I would accept that strategy. But on these conditions (especially since it is the very first move of the battle, so there is no ruckus yet), it didn't really work

Action 2

Astrea switches to offensive mode and use its Psychic powers at Turtle making it hit itself. STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF.

Fun.

Anyway, Nidhogg then delivers the coup de grace at Turtle the Breloom with another Hurricane, removing a portion of the Den's roof. But more importantly it deals MASSIVE damage and Turtle just couldn't resist as it faints. The first blood is drawn!

But Swells seems REALLY pissed off and is seeking revenge. Both side heads roar at Astrea while the middle one gets bigger and bigger and suddenly extends itself hitting Starmie with the speed of a Thunder. The attack's sheer power paralyses Astrea with FEAR.

Starmie:
Psychic: (9(bp) + 3(stab) + 4.5(rank dif))1.5 (x2 weak) = 24.75 (25) damage for 6 energy
Spdef reduction (1/10 yes): 3/10 (no)
Crit RNG (1/16 yes): 6/16 (no)

Speed tie RNG (1- Swells 2-Nidhogg): 2 (Nidhogg)

Dragonite:
Hurricane: (12 (bp) + 3 (stab) + 4.5 (rank dif))2.25 (x4 weak) = 43.87 (44) damage for 11 energy
Crit RNG (1/16 yes): 4/16 (no)
Confusion RNG: not feeling like it

Swells: (12 (bp) + 3 (stab) + 1.5 (rank dif))1.5 (x2 weak) = 24.75 (25) damage for 7 energy
Crit RNG (1/16 yes): 13/16 (no)
Paralysis (1-3/10 yes): 1/10 (yes)

Turtle: poor little thing

Action 3

With Turtle out of the way, Athenodonut's pokemon now focus on the Cyclohm-

Thor: "CYCLOHM CYYY" (translation: I won't lose!)

"Hey! I mean Swells not you, don't get charged up please <_<"

Anyway, Nidhogg attacks the sole Cycl-- Swells with Outrage. I can't really see how Nidhogg can be enraged as it won all three speed ties so far. Oh well, go figure.

Swells hits Astrea once again with a menacing Thunder fueled by his (justified btw) rage, leaving the Starmie in Critical conditions.

But Astrea isn't defeated just yet, as it fires a frosty (not me!) Ice Beam.

Speed Tie (1- Swells 2 - Nidhogg) = 2 (Nidhogg)

Nidhogg:
Outrage: (12(BP) + 3(STAB) + 3(Rank Dif))1.5 (x2 weak) = 27 damage for 7 energy
Crit RNG (1/16 - yes) = 4/16 (no)

Swells:
Thunder: (12 (bp) + 3 (stab) + 1.5 (rank dif) + 3(crit))1.5 (x2 weak) = 29.25 (30) damage for 7 energy (yeah I round up EVERYTHING)
Crit RNG (1/16 - yes) = 1/16 (yes)

Astrea:
Paralysis RNG (1/4 fully paralysed) = 4/4 (no)
Ice Beam: (10 (bp) + 3 (rank dif)) = 19.5 (20) damage for 7 energy
Crit RNG (1/16 - yes) = 10/16 (no)
Freeze RNG = Shield Dust

Well done guys, you've done well again. Now, it only remains to finish it off completely. Astraea, you can start off with a Pain Split at Swells to bring it down to no health whatsoever, and then Nidhogg can just continue his Outrage from last round. Then, just because Venser has been a great sport for these matches, you can Teleport in front of his Outrage to make sure it hits you, to make sure he at least gets that KO Counter. Finally, Dragonite can finish him off with his last Outrage. If he is still alive somehow, finish him off with a Dragon Pulse.

Good work guys!

OUTRAGEOUS!

Action 1

The Paralysed Starmie
Tried to Pain Split the fluffy cloud
Down came the Twister
And washed the Starmie out

Thor: ".....cyclohm"

"oh shut up, thor, that was a good joke. Not forced at all."

Anyway, the twister also hits Dragonite, but he didn't seem to notice, as it continue its OUTRAGEOUS OUTRAGE at Swells.

Speed tie RNG (1-Swells and 2-Nidhogg): 1 (Swells goes first)

Swells:
Twister: vs astrea 3 (BP*75%) + 3 (STAB) + 1.5 (Rank Dif) = 7.5 (8) damage for 2 energy
Crit RNG: 3/16 (no)

OUTRAGE

OUTRAAAAAGE

Thats it.

Speed tie = Doesn't matter, that it was 1/2 so Swells moves first

Swells:
Outrage: (12 + 3 + 1.5)1.5 = 24.75 (25) damage for 7 energy

Nidhogg:
Outrage: (12 (BP) + 3 (stab) + 3 (rank dif))1.5 (x2 weak) = 27 damage for 7 energy

Action 3

OUTRA- Oh wait it stopped.

Nidhogg prepares a Dragon Pulse, but before it could end, a misterious question emerged in his mind:

Nidhogg: Dragonitenite dragon dragonite? (translation: What would happen if I banged my head on the ceiling of the Den?)

I guess his hunger for knownledge got the best of him. OUCH, that will hurt tommorow. He hit himself in confusion. The shock and pain seemed to have made he come back to his senses, so its all good.

Meanwhile

OUTRAAAAGE.

Speed Tie (1- Swells 2 - Nidhogg) = 2 (Nidhogg)

Nidhogg:
Intensity of the confusion: 1/3 (slight - 2 actions)
Hit itself in confusion (0-45/100 - yes)= 37/100 (hits itself in confusion)
