Arena: Victory Road (Unova I'm assuming???)
A strange place for such young Pokemon no doubt, but the toughest of the tough bring their mons here from a young age to make sure they grow to be the very best. The wild Pokemon in the cave do not concern themselves with such small fish of course. There is enough light poking in from the various cracks and openings to allow all competitors to see, but there is no water around for Surf or other such moves. Earthquake is most definitely useable, however it could be disastrous.

1. deadfox081 summons two Pokemon.
2. Lyris1035 summons two Pokemon.
3. Lyris1035 issues actions.
4. deadfox081 issues actions.

That covers everything (Except teams, but I never reveal teams...), looking forward to some clean fighting from you two, starting with deadfox081's Pokemon! Shall we begin? I think we shall...

Both of you start off by Aerial Acing Karrablast, then with Auralia using Hone Claws, Snivy using Attractivate (Attract + Captivate) on Karrablast! If that isn't a combo, Attract then Captivate on Karrablast, and Auralia's third move shall be Night Daze on Solosis.

ROUND ONE: Impostor!

Well...Here we are, at the Victory Road in Unova! Today, we will witness a 2v2 Doubles LC Mons battle between Smogon Users deadfox081 & Lyris1035! The battle itself will take place at the highest cave point of the road, (i.e. Where Cheren lurks in-game post E4), which is a bit narrow & it does contain stairs, but this is where the actual battle will occur! I greet the two participants, as well as the Excadrill that I had with me, go through the rules, & drop the referee flag to begin the battle, right after deadfox081 & Lyris1035 shook eachother's hands & said their gl's & hf's. deadfox081 is first to release & he sends out Lanca the Karrablast & Psycha the Solosis! Lyris1035 replies to this by sending out Auralia the Riolu & Snivy the Snivy! Both battlers are all set, who will take the win? Well, it won't happen this round, that's for certain, but the action now officially kicks off!

Kicking off the battle in this dark cave, & Auralia kicks off with an Aerial Ace! Auralia breaks into a run & approaches Lanca at a blinding speed, before quickly striking Lanca with the side of her palm! Its Super E-Hang on...(Scans through a book) Riolu can't learn Aerial Ace...THAT RIOLU IS A HACK!!! Oh, wait...Anyways, Its Super Effective! Lanca stumbles back after taking quite a big number, falling on his back, before getting back up, only to see Snivy come at him with Aerial Ace as well! Her Smugness also approaches Lanca at a ridiculous speed, before striking him with her palm! Its Super Effective! Also this Snivy is legal! Lanca slumps back even more after taking substantial damage (Well, not really...), before getting up, finally getting an opportunity to attack, & he does so with a Fury Cutter! Lanca approaches Auralia (What?) & while Auralia is regaining her breath, Lanca strikes Auralia with his horn, whacking her dead on! Its Super Effective, much to everyone's surprise! Auralia takes a lot of damage & hits the deck, before glowing in white! Everyone gasps at what's happening to Auralia, & when it stops Auralia had turned into a Zorua. Suspicions confirmed, that was an impostor, & instead of Auralia been sent out, Lyris1035 had actually sent out Zorroa the Zorua! Moving on, & last to act was Psycha & she uses Thunder Wave! Lanca releases a ball of electrical energy & sends it Zorroa's way, paralysing Zorroa, as an eventful Action One comes to an end.

Second Action now, & it's Lanca that goes first, using Fury Cutter! Lanca goes towards the paralysed Zorroa, & deals another slash with his head, hitting Zorroa! Its Super Effective! Zorroa slumps back further against the might of Lanca, but Zorroa doesn't seem to mind, overcoming paralysis to use Hone Claws! Zorroa trundles over to a nearby rock & starts slashing it, honing her claws & raising her Attack & Accuracy by 1 Stage! However, Zorroa should've payed more attention to the match as Psycha uses Flash Cannon! Psycha focuses her mind into a shining silver-coloured shot, which she fires at Zorroa, hitting her! Zorroa takes more damage as she finds herself closer to the wall. In the meantime, Snivy goes last & uses a combo of Attract & Captivate! She calls over Lanca, & starts making flattering comments about him. Lanca couldn't help himself & comes over to Snivy, where...

Moving on to the final action of the round, and after...Snivy is incredibly exhausted & needs to recharge for the round. Lanca, who was infatuated & with a lowered Special Attack, fights the voices in his head, but comes to his senses temporarily, but long enough to use Fury Cutter again! Lanca rushes over to Zorroa, despite calls from Snivy to come back, & slashes Zorroa again with his head! Its Super Effective! Zorroa takes even more damage from the Fury Cutter & slumps to the ground, with defeat edging ever so closer, but she gets up off the ground & overcomes paralysis again to use Night Daze! She fires a burst of darkness at Psycha hitting her where it hurts! Its Super Effective! Psycha is shocked by this as she tumbles to the ground before floating back up to use Confuse Ray! Psycha fires a peculiar ray at Snivy, hitting her & confusing her! The confusion, to rub salt into the injury, appears to be rather intense as well, so it looks like no snapping out for a while it seems!

They're all in the cave, Snivy's in the centre of the arena, Psycha's 3 metres away from her, Zorroa's near a wall, & Lanca's about 2 metres away from Zorroa. Be careful guys, this battle appears to have attracted some attention, as I can hear some scuttling, which is getting louder. If Wild Pokemon do come, my good old Excadrill should ward them off. And with that, the round comes to an end. What will happen next round? Wait until these two issue actions...



Go deadfox081. A couple of things, with substitutions, I won't allow a substitution if a combo fails, so if a combo was to fail, too bad. Other than that, nothing else. Perhaps I'm being too suggestive...Also, I seem to waste too much time writing flavour...

ROUND TWO: An Ordinary Round

Well, we're back to the Victory Road for Round 2 of this ASB match between two users that have several numbers at the end of their usernames! Last round, deadfox081 got off to a great start, breaking an Illusion & severely wounded one member on his opponent's team, while Lyris1035 got off to an Okay start, but needs to get his act together if he wants to keep up! With that out of the way, we are ready for Round 2's actions! What happens this round? You will find out by reading on...

First action of the round & Snivy is confused! Snivy becomes too disorientated & smacks herself with her left hand in confusion, doing damage to herself! Lanca, on the other hand, is still in love with Snivy, having feelings for her, but the feelings are too great, as he stands there blankly, doing nothing in his infatuation! Psycha is third, & unlike the other two, she actually does something & uses Psychic! Psycha starts concentrating on Snivy, using the power of telekinesis to lift Snivy off the ground & fling her into a wall! Snivy takes a hit, but is still in a disorientated state! Zorroa is last, & she overcomes paralysis again to use Taunt! Zorroa yells out a bunch of insults, aimed at Psycha! Psycha takes notice & is suddenly filled into a state of rage, successfully Taunted by Zorroa!

Second Action now, & Snivy continues to act like an alcoholic, smacking herself in confusion, so I won't waste time on that. Lanca is next & he snaps out of his infatuation & uses Fury Cutter! Lanca returns to Zorroa & slashes Zorroa with his head, hitting Zorroa! Its Super Effective! Zorroa slumps even further onto the ground, still alive, but very close to fainting! Upon this, Zorroa stops fooling about & starts to stand up to Lanca, launching an Aerial Ace! Zorroa rushes at Lanca, before striking him with one of her claws! Its Super Effective! Lanca stumbles back upon impact, before getting back up. In the meantime, Psycha was commended to use Trick Room, but Psycha was too enraged to do so & does nothing for the round.

Final Action of the round now, & Snivy stops acting like an alcoholic for once to use Protect! Snivy, concerned about what's going to happen to her, closes her eyes tightly, focusing on herself, before successfully summoning a clearish, green-coloured barrier around herself, protecting herself from any further attack for the action! Lanca is unfazed by this & simply uses Fury Cutter again! Lanca rushes over to Zorroa & slashes Zorroa with his head, hitting Zorroa! Its Super Effective! This time, the impact was too much for Zorroa. Zorroa slumps to the ground, this time, not getting up & her eyes were replaced with swirls. "Zorroa is unable to battle! Lanca wins!" deadfox081 celebrates the KO while Lyris1035 sends Zorroa back into her Pokeball, not happy with how the battle is going. Rounding out the round, Psycha uses Psychic! Psycha tries to use the power of telekinesis to lift Snivy, but Snivy isn't falling for the same trick twice, with the protective barrier blocking the attack, as the round ends.

All 3 remaining Pokemon are in the same spot as before, & with an unchanged arena. The scuttling is getting louder, but don't worry, that's what Shovrill's here for: To stop the wild Pokemon from interfering with the battle! And with that, the round ends. What will happen next round? Wait until these two issue actions...

Go Lyris1035 (Specify Auralia's ability as well). I felt that Impostor! was the most appropriate title for the round, considering what happens...

I don't understand the attempted combo. What does it achieve that just using the moves separately won't? Anywho..

Lanca, I see no reason to do anything than continue using your Fury Cutter with all three actions this round aimed at Snivy.

Psycha, looks like we've now drawn something that your STAB is super effective against too. Lets punish his choice not to attack this round by dealing as much damage as possible. Psychic > Psyshock > Psychic all aimed at Auralia.

ROUND THREE: Seizing Control...

Alright, time for Round Three I guess...Last Round, Zorroa fell to a Fury Cutter from Lanca, giving deadfox081 a 3-2 advantage. To compensate for this, Lyris1035 sent out Auralia the Riolu, the real one this time. What will happen this round, time to find out.

Well, to start with, Snivy overcomes confusion again & opens with a Captivate! Snivy turns her attention to Lanca again & starts making herself look flashy in an attempt to lure in Lanca! Lanca, on the other hand, isn't interested in Snivy anymore, & as a result, the move fails. Seeing Snivy's failure to attract Lanca, Auralia decides to use Attract herself! Auralia also goes over to Lanca, really close to him & makes herself look flashy in front of Lanca, hoping for it to work this time, & it does! Auralia successfully grabs Lanca's attention & infatuates him for a number of actions! Lanca instantly falls in love, but falls deeply in love, too deep that he stands there, immobilised by his feelings for Auralia! Finally, Psycha decides to make a move & uses Psychic! Psycha focuses on the flashy Auralia & uses the power of telekinesis to lift up Auralia & slam her into the wall, & in a fashion that Psycha whacks Auralia into a wall at a blinding speed head-first! A Critical Hit! Its Super Effective! Auralia takes massive damage before hitting the deck, getting up moments later as Action One ends.

Action Two time, & Snivy shakes her head, & finally sees properly again, snapping out of her confusion! She then rushes over to Psycha & uses Giga Drain! Snivy fires a red beam at Psycha that hits her! After the hit, red energy comes back to Snivy, healing her of some lost health, as Psycha hits the ground before floating back up again. Over the other side of the field, Auralia gets back up & uses Nasty Plot! Auralia lets out an evil grin & an evil laugh, before plotting up a scheme, which raises her Special Attack 2 Stages! Lanca continues to have feelings for Auralia, but puts them aside to use Fury Cutter! Lanca rushes over to Snivy & slashes Snivy with his head, aiming straight for the juggular! A Critical Hit! Its Super Effective! Snivy is sent hurtling a few metres before crashing on the ground after receiving massive damage! And to finish the round, Psycha uses Psyshock! Psycha materialises its brain waves and sends them crashing into Auralia! Its Super Effective! Auralia takes further damage before hitting the deck again & getting back up!

Final action of the round, & Snivy opens again by using Aerial Ace! Looking for revenge after the Fury Cutter, Snivy rushes towards Lanca & strikes him with the palm of her hand! Its Super Effective! Lanca stumbles to the ground before getting back up again, when will this thing die? Auralia then decides to waste more time by using Swords Dance! Auralia does a dance as holographic swords come from nowhere, raising her attack by 2 Stages! Lanca was about to use Fury Cutter, but suddenly, Auralia sneaks up from behind & starts pampering Lanca & rubbing him in the back! This strengthens Lanca's feelings even more, enough to immobilise him for the rest of the action! Rounding out the round, Psycha uses Psychic! Psycha focuses on Auralia & uses the power of telekinesis to lift up Auralia & slam her into the wall! Its Super Effective! Auralia hits the deck yet again, before getting up, as the round ends.

Unchanged arena, Snivy & Lanca are in the centre of the arena, while Psycha is 2 metres away from Snivy, & Auralia's behind everyone, near a wall at the other side of the arena, 6 metres away from Lanca. That's all for the round, what will happen next round? Wait until these two issue actions...



Go deadfox081. To answer Lyris1035's question, yes they can, but as far as Attract & Captivate are concerned, it only works if it's one Pokemon deploying the combo, but then again, as with most combos, your mileage may vary. Once again, I won't allow a substitution if a combo fails. Remember that now.

It's a real shame that attraction kept ruining your Fury Cutter spree Lanca, I was pretty keen to see just how damaging you could get. I suppose we should just go ahead and utilise your other attacks rather than rely on its power building up again. Psycha you should just keep up the good work and I think we should be able to finish it off this round.

Because I'm rather pressed for time at the moment, I'm omitting the flavour for the round. Sorry for that. I will do flavour next round, however...In short, Snivy's fainted, & deadfox081 is 1 HP away from victory, thanks to Endure. For how the round actually went, refer to the skeleton.

ROUND FIVE: Going Out On Top

It's time for Round 5, I guess! This Round should be quick, with Lyris1035 only having a Riolu at 1 HP. Enough talk, let's just get on to the action.

First Action, & Auralia, on her last legs, desperately attempts to salvage something with a Reversal! Once again, Auralia uses his pain & concentrates it into her palms, before rushing towards the usually slow Psycha & using her new found power to deliver one almighty punch! Its not very effective...However the force was so powerful, that she sends Psycha flying into a wall! Psycha crashes into this wall with a loud thud, before hitting the deck, with eyes replaced with swirls. "Psycha is unable to battle! Auralia wins!" Lyris1035 breathes a sigh of relief, finally managing to salvage something from this battle. But that is all Auralia can do, one final punch, before accepting her fate, as Lanca charged in to deliver a Bug Bite! Lanca went to Auralia, attempting to avenge Psycha's demise, & let off a light bite on Auralia! Its not very effective...But it was irrelevant, as Auralia was powerless to stop it, falling to the ground & her eyes were replaced with swirls. Auralia had gone out on top. "Auralia is unable to battle! Lanca wins!" I call, as the battle concludes. "And the winner of this battle is...deadfox081! He wins this battle by a margin of 2-0!" deadfox081 celebrates the occasion as the two combatants say their gg's & shake each others hands. All Pokemon were returned to their Poke Balls & the two combatants left, ready to claim.

That's all, thanks for playing! So Lyris1035 knows, the other Pokemon on deadfox081's team was a Timburr. Other than that, gg you two. To put it simply, Lyris1035 didn't play that badly, it was just poor decision making that really hurt his chances, e.g. Using Night Daze while Zorroa was disguised, & When he opted to not attack with Auralia during Round Three when the game was in its crucial stages. Other than that, thanks for playing & I do hope you enjoy this battle.
