welcome to this peculiar choice for a battle arena; a burning forest. let's see what kind of battle we have here today.
1v1 Singles(duh)
1 week DQ
Arena: Burning Forest. Falling, burning branches, exploding bushes, piles of leaves and nuts, you know, forest stuff on fire.

Special: Dinosauric creatures only, so:

Embirch, Fossils, etc.
I am in
all abilities
no items
so it's a battle between dinosaurs in a burning forest, how appropriate. speaking of dinosaurs, let's see the contestants.

Embirch(Charcoal, Male)
Nature:Timid (A 15% increase (rounded up) in Base Speed and a +5% increase in accuracy (e.g. 85 becomes 90) on this Pokemon's attacks; Subtracts * from Attack)
Type: Fire/Grass
Fire: Fire STAB; immune to burn, 50% reduction in freeze chance, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or brushfire areas.
Grass: Grass STAB; Immunity to Leech Seed and Worry Seed. 50% reduction in status effect chance of oncoming “powder” attacks. More mobile in areas with strong natural light sources. Superior senses in tall grass and forest areas. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus.

Abilities:
Leaf Guard: (Innate) In bright sunlight the Pokemon is surrounded by a faint green glow. The glow protects it from all permanent and temporary status conditions.
Battle Armor: (Innate) This Pokemon’s thick armor prevents it from taking critical hits.
Chlorophyll (DW): (Innate) During bright sunlight, this Pokemon’s cells absorb more solar energy, doubling (x2) their speed.

Evolution pre round costs 20% energy and does not take an action.
Onto the actions. Neither of us have super effective moves on each other i we have better defences we should win this Gary. Begin with a Fire Blast scorching the diminutive lizard then call upon your nature powers by unleashing and Earth Power then use another Fire Blast to trump your sibling

Fire Blast > Earth Power > Fire Blast

Dragonbreath-->Flamethrower+Dragonbreath-->Nothing because of combo attack.

Even if Frog wins, Charcoal, you're still the better dragon/dinosaur thing on the inside.

time to get the action underway in this burning forest. it really is quite hot, isn't it... so hot, in fact, that gary's glowing. could it be? yes it is, he has evolved into flarelm! his energy level has taken a hit though.

charcoal is faster than his evolved opponent, and spits out some draconic breath, but it doesn't do very much damage. gary grins and lines up his cannon arm to retaliate, firing off a mighty blast of fire, which deals good damage. charcoal seems to zone out for a second, giving gary time to suck up some dirt and fire it out of his cannon arm; using the power of the earth, you might say. charcoal then spits out more draconic breath, but this time it's not alone; it's a combo attack with flamethrower! charcoal's too tired from the combo attack to make a move this action, which gives gary time to let loose another fire blast, but he misses somehow and fuels the raging fire going on around the combatants.

welcome back to this prehistoric battle. it's really heating up, and not just because of the fire raging around us. charcoal begins this round by focusing his abilities again, preparing a combo move no doubt. gary takes the opportunity to fire off another fire blast, and it strikes home doing nice damage. charcoal tries his combo move, but he gets confused by its complexity and is unable to execute it. his confusion lasts for the next action too, and he just stands there dumbfounded as gary shoots out another earth power. charcoal finally gets back into the swing of things and roars, releasing a flamethrower from his gaping mouth. gary doesn't mind though as he knows he has the advantage, and lines up yet another fire blast which again strikes home.

welcome back to the match, where things will be coming to a close surely. charcoal leads off with a beam of psychic energy, but gary shrugs it off and gathers up earth again and uses its power to shoot charcoal for good damage. charcoal is ragged but musters up one last attack; a flamethrower+dragonbreath combo attack, which does excellent damage! the poor guy is so worn out though and gary just walks up to him, cocks his arm cannon and charcoal takes a fire blast to the face; more than enough to knock him out.
