The ASB Tournament Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

Ok, to start out, Ga-chan, since the only ability you have access to is Soundproof, I want you to use that. Enaks-chan, since the opponents attacks arent very physically based, I want you to use your Shed Skin ability. Poli-chan, activate your Water Absorb ability as none of them have self-destructive moves. My prediction of the opponent's abilities are: Wartortle Torrent, Bronzor Levitate, and Venonat Tinted Lens

Ok, Lets start out by poisoning the turtle. Poli-chan, your the fastest, I want you to Toxic Michael, and promptly afterwards, Enaks-chan, Venoshock the turtle for extra damage. Even though your the slowest on our team Ga-chan, your still faster than that mirror. So that the mirror doesnt become a big threat, I want you to Supersonic so that its incapacitated for this round.

For the second wave of attacks, Poli-chan, I need to abuse your typing, so Waterfall the knat to nock a little damage onto it. Enaks-chan, if we have a party at full health, it would be most beneficial for you to Beat Up that mirror, but if we loose health, paralyze the mirror with your horrifying Glare. For your second attack Ga-chan, I want you to test the waters on the mirror with a Shadow Ball, see how much damage you can manage.

On on side we have The Shiny Umbreon with a team of Michael the Wartotle, using torrent, Nita the Venonat, using coupoundeyes and Katoptris the Bronzor, using levitate. On the other side, we have Doran Dragon with the triple threat of Poli-chan the Poliwag, with Water Absorb, Ga-chan the Whismur with Soundproof and Enaks-chan the Ekans with Shed Skin.

Michael starts the battle with...protect? It seems that he took a more strategic approach the coward ! And strategic it was, as it managed to avoid being hit by Poli-chan's Toxic and Enaks-chan's Venoshock, as both missed. Looks like the ganging up didn't work.

on the other side of the arena, we have the other team ganging up against the poor lonely Whismur, with much greater results. Nita manages to paralyse Ga-chan with Stun Spore, making it move last and then Katoptris erects a Safeguard barrier, completely nullifying Ga-chan, Supersonic waves, which didn't happen anyway, as it was fully paralysed.

Looks like both teams already got to knew each other and are now ready to ATTACK. Now this will be interesting.

It all starts with Poli-chan summoning a mighty Waterfall that hit Nita square on, making it Flinch. After that it is time for Michael to play with water, as it uses a quite strong Water Spout that covers the entire field, hitting all three of the opponents' poke. All of them seemed to have take a considerable hit...except for Poli-chan that actually liked it, thanks to Water Absorb.

Enaks-chan then shows to be REEEEEALLY evil inside and uses Beat Up at Katoptrips, with the energy of himself and his two teammates, hitting a total of 3 times. That didn't seem to have hurt Katoptris, as it fires a Charge Beam at Poli-chan, as if nothing has happened. That right before being hit by Shadow Ball by the cute...I mean menacing Ga-chan.

And after a brief hiatus, we are back! And Poli-chan is first to move and decides to…dig and escape. What an exciting move [/sarcasm]! It even inspired Michael to respond with a yawn, but at Ekans. Following the nice circle, Enaks-chan attacks Venonat by hardening its tail like it was iron. Nice Trick! Nita and Katoptrips then try to attack the evasive Poli-chan, with no success, and Ga-chan fills its team side of the arena with Smokescreen. Quite a strategic move from Doran Dragon! His pokemon will have a hard time aiming their attacks, but in the other hand, The Shiny Umbreon’s pokemon won’t be able to identify who is who beneath the smoke! Lets see how that turns out!

Back from the trip underground, Poli-chan rolls toward Venonat in a Ice Ball dealing…mediocre damage. It hits Nita, turns around and go back to the smoky side of the field. And it was a good choice, as Wartotle’s Water Pulse originally fired at Ekans hit the poliwag instead, who had a blast with it thanks to water absorb.

Enaks-chan continues the offensive with a strong Earthquake that hits every single pokemon in the arena. Except for the levitating bronzor. Meanwhile Nita shoots a Sludge Bomb aiming at the Poliwag, but it ended up hitting Whismur! I guess the smokescreen is actually paying off! Katoptrips also gives a shot at a hitting the right pokemon with Flash Cannon and it scoooored, hurting enaks-chan and lowering its Special Defense.

To finalize the round, Ga-chan uses Uproar randomly, hitting Venonat in the process.

Poli-chan starts the round still with its Ice ball at Nita. Only Stronger! It hits the venonat and comes back to the protecting Smokescreen. I wonder how long it will take until The Shiny Umbreon does something about it. Anyway, Michael, Nita and Katoptris all aim their attacks to the same smoke shadow..although each one probably thought it was a different poke. Either way, the Giga Drain, Charge Beam and Water Pulse all hit Poli-chan. That way Nita managed to drain enough hp to keep fighting a bit more. Meanwhile Enaks-chan used Poison Tail on Michael and Ga-chan ignored its actions and continued the uproar, damaging Nita.
