Its_A_Random vs DFrog

In a seemingly endless desert, DFrog wanders alone in search of a legendary oasis. Thirsty, hungry and tired he staggers on until he sees something in the distance. At first he thinks it a mirage, but as he draws near he finds that it is in fact real - he has found the oasis at last!
And for no apparent reason Its_A_Random is there, and he challenges the weary traveler to a Pokemon battle.

Dfrog takes a sip of oasis water and issues orders, Random sits under a nice shady palm tree and issues his own actions, then I put my feet up and laugh at the exertion of the battlers, and so on.

"The oasis water was sweet but victory will be sweeter! Grace being the swifter of the two Scratchet's Taunt Smoochum as she is trying to upstage your beauty then Toxic Duskull crippling the fiendish ghost. Desmond, slow but powerful, start by conjuring a ghostly Will-o-wisp on Randoms Scratchet. Whip out your signature move Shadow Strike slam into Smoochum. Buster being the force I know you are as use Air Slash on Scratchet. Tap into the spiritual world and summon a Shadow Ball and direct it at the one most effected by it, Duskull.

Subs:Grace: If Taunt does not happen action 1 use it again on action 2 (still on Smoochum)*
Buster: If Duskull is not poisoned use toxic on Duskull over shadow ball

Buster: Air Slash (Scratchet) > Shadow Ball/Toxic (Duskull)
Desmond: Will-o-wisp (Scratchet) > Shadow Strike (Smoochum)
Grace: Taunt (Smoochum) > Toxic (Duskull)/Taunt (Smoochum)

This is my first triples if I made any mistakes please tell me

"Meet the three monsters that will send you packing! Raiza shall send you back to square one! Caius will banish your hopes of winning! Mobius will bust your traps & destroy them!"
"Anyways, there's one big threat on this team & if he's gone, our chances of winning are greater!"

Raiza: Brick Break Desmond > Brick Break Desmond
Caius: Confuse Ray Desmond > Shadow Ball Desmond
Mobius: Fake Out Buster > Shadow Ball Desmond
IF Raiza is burned by Will-O-Wisp A1, THEN replace Raiza's second action with Take a quick dip in the Oasis to erase your burn.

Let's do this! Also, DFrog, your Okay with your actions.

The six Pokemon burst from their balls and a flurry of action commences. Egged on by Grace's Taunts Mobius the Frost Monarch Smoochum gets in the first blow, slapping in front of Buster's face with Fake Out, causing him to flinch and lose track of what he was doing. But after that, Team Random all turn their attentions to Desmond the Nohface, determined to show him what 6 Stars and 2400 Atk is all about. Raiza leads this focused assault with a Brick Break, Nohface's Will-o-Wisp too late to lessen the blow and leaving him defenseless from Duskull's Confuse Ray.
Feeling supressed, DFrog's team decides to try and push back. Choosing not to pursue the fleeing Raiza, Breezi and Grace focus their efforts on Duskull with Toxic and Shadow Ball while Desmond Strikes Smoochum from the Shadows, lowering her defense. Not wanting to be outshadowed, Duskull attempts to live up to his namesake and fires a Shadow Ball at the wannabe Nohface, and Smoochum supports his efforts likewise. Meanwhile, Raiza the Scratchet takes a dip in the oasis hoping to lessen his burns, but the water is warm from the desert sun and helps very little.
Team Random:
Raiza / Caius / Mobius
86HP / 67HP / 69HP
94% / 91% / 90% Energy
Burned/Toxic (2)/-1 Def, Taunt (4)

Team DFrog:
Buster / Desmond / Grace

"Well Monarchs, It's time to play 'Pick on the odd one out'!" And LJ got the reference...
Raiza: Brick Break Desmond x2
Caius: Shadow Ball Desmond x2
Mobius: Shadow Ball Desmond x2
IF Buster uses Heal Pulse, THEN replace one of Mobius' Shadow Balls with Fake Out Buster, But not on consecutive actions.
IF Desmond faints before the round is gone...
Raiza: Redirect the remaining Brick Breaks to Grace
Caius: Replace Remaining Shadow Balls with Ice Beam Buster
Mobius: Replace remaining Shadow Balls with Psychic Buster

Let's show this guy that we don't need to rely on having 1000 DEF!

"No love for the Desmond, I see. Desmond lets show them all up. Shadow Strike then Shadow Sneak Caius show that ghost who's boss. Buster help you ghostly comrade, Desmond by Shadow Balling Caius twice. Grace get in there with your Confuse Ray to confuzzle Casius then Yawn at Raiza's futile attempts to impress you.

Buster: Shadow Ball*2 Caius
Desmond: Shadow Strike > Shadow Sneak Caius
Grace: Confuse Ray (Caius) > Yawn (Raiza)

If: Caius faints redirect your remaining attacks to Smoochum (probably only applicable to Buster)

Caius and Desmond, having evidently formed a feud charge towards each other, leaving their teammates to look at each other as if to say "Should we help?" They apparently decide on yes, and attacks start to become focused around the two Ghosts. Smoochum and Breezi each fire Shadow Balls at their target of choice while Grace hits Caius with a Confuse Ray and the other Scratchet moves in for the kill with a Brick Break against Desmond. Finally, the two feuding ghosts fire off their own attacks, exchanging shadowy blows. (Ball and Strike obviously)
Not wanting his teammates to steal his thunder, Nohface gets the jump on Duskull by using the speedy Shadow Sneak. Everyone but him and Grace repeat their moves, and while the female Scratchet yawns at the repetetive exchange, it seems to have been effective as Duskull's final Shadow Ball knocks out Nohface and ends the grudge match.
Team Random:
Raiza / Caius / Mobius
80HP / 10HP / 69HP
78% / 91% / 66% Energy

Team DFrog:

Healthy/KOd/Healthy

The lack of confusion hax is haxy in itself.

Buster: Shadow Ball (Caius) > Air Slash (Raiza)
Grace: Confuse Ray (Raiza) > Toxic (Mobius)

If: Caius does not go down action 1 sub air slash for shadow ball in caius

LJ, Just one minor nitpick with the previous round: You forgot to reduce Caius' energy.

"Alright Monarchs, we've got a temporary advantage & our adversary has 2 less actions per turn, after Caius dutifully removed Desmond from play. At the start of this round, we have 3 Monarchs, & two actions later, we'll still have 3 Monarchs left."
Raiza: Rock Slide > Brick Break Grace
Caius: Disable Buster's Shadow Ball > Pain Split Grace
Mobius: Fake Out Buster > Ice Beam Buster

That's 2400 ATK for you.

Hm, you're right Random but it doesn't matter.

Team Random formulates a seemingly clever plan to keep all their combatants. To begin with, Smoochum hits Buster with Fake Out once again to flinch him. But just as Duskull begins to celebrate he discovers that Buster is not about to fall for that trick again after, and he KOs Caius with an ironic Shadow Ball.
Raiza finds himself confused that the plan has failed - or was it the other Scratchet's Confuse Ray? Either way, he snaps himself out of it by promptly faceplanting into the hot sand below.
Happy to have avenged their Teammate, Grace and Buster turn their attentions to their remaining foes, and before long Raiza faces some Irony of his own in the form of Air Slash while Smoochum is Graced by a Toxic attack. This is not taken lightly however, and the two respond super effectively with a Brick Break against Grace and an Ice Beam against Breezi. The male Scratchet then decides to take a break, falling into an intense sleep.
Team Random:
Raiza / Caius / Mobius

Team DFrog:
Buster / Desmond / Grace

59% / 0% / 57% Energy
Healthy/KOd/Healthy

For the record Random:
After its initial use, Fake Out fails to flinch the same Pokemon twice, but can still be used in succession
This applies for the whole game. Mobius had already flinched Buster with Fake Out, so it failed.

"Grace, you are the best! Hugs :) Buster time to match Grace's annoying antics use Shadow Ball then Disable Smoochum's Psychic. Grace Confuse Ray Smoochum then get your hands dirty with some Fury Swipes.

Buster: Shadow Ball > Disable Mobius
Grace: Confuse Ray > Fury Swipes Mobius

With Raiza sleeping on the job, Mobius finds herself along an cornered. Using her vast mental prowess, she hits Grace with a blast of Psychic Energy, but not before taking a Shadow Ball from Buster. Grace responds to the assault with a similarly mystical Confuse Ray.
Seeing his friend's mental anguish, Buster decides to Disable Smoochum's future attempts at Psy-kicking Grace's arse, leaving Smoochum with little to do other than watch her teammate snooze on. Suddenly, Grace remembers (fucking finally) that she actually has attacking moves, and strikes Mobius thrice with Fury Swipes, one of which scores a Critical Hit (also finally).
Team Random:

Team DFrog:

"We may be able to pull this off just yet, lets try to claim a win! Buster begin with a Venoshock and Grace attack simultaneously with Rock Smash both a Mobius. Finish up with Shadow Ball and Fury Swipes on Mobius.

Buster: Venoshock > Shadow Ball Mobius
Grace: Rock Smash > Fury Swipes Mobius

Substitutions:
Grace ~ If Mobius faints switch remaining actions to Raiza

"I hate to say this, monarchs, but our adversary has secured the (inevitable) victory. An unfavourable matchup followed by that R3 oversight has costed us dearly...Oh, well, but we will not give up without a fight!"
Raiza: Brick Break Grace once you're awake for the round.
Mobius: Confuse Ray Buster > Fake Out Grace (This one will flinch...)

We may be on the ropes, but we never give up!

Smoochum, still essentially alone makes what may be her last stand, exchanging Confuse Ray for Venoshock with Buster as Grace runs in with a Rock Smash. Feeling the end drawn near, Mobius gets in one last super fast Fake Out against Grace, flinching her, at which point the inevitable arrives in the for of a Shadow Ball from Buster. Raiza, waking just in time to see his friend fall strikes angrily at the dazed Grace with Brick Break.

Patience, DFrog, I have to make actions first...

"Time for a change of strategy, I assume..."
Raiza: Rock Smash Grace x2

This time around it's Raiza who finds himself alone, and he doesn't look happy about it. Luckily, his opponents seem to be taking it easy for a bit; Grace rests up a bit with Roost while Buster merely hits himself in confusion. Raiza has no complaints here, running forward with a Rock Smash, which despite being weak lowers Grace's defense.
Buster than rests a little himself, opting to just chill, and the two Scratchets exchange blows with Rock Smash, with Grace scoring an untimely critical hit while Raiza lowers her defense once again.

"Booyah! Buster finish with Air Slash and Grace with Rock Smash. Then if Razia is somehow alive Buster Chill and Rock Smash.

Buster: Air Slash > Chill
Grace: Rock Smash*2

Raiza prepares his final attacks but to no avail; Buster and Grace sweep him up with their own offenses before he even gets a chance to move.

All Pokemon gain 2 MC, 1 EC, 1 DC
Duskull and Grace gain 1 KOC
Buster gains 2 KOC
Trainers recieve 2 TC
I get 6 RC

Are you sure Buster got all the KOs, because Grace goes 2nd when she attacks, prankster only affects non-offensive moves

gg DFrog, to put it simply, you had a superior match-up there, other than that, you were quite solid & really had me in the wall. A well deserved victory for you!

Thanks for the reffing LJ, much appreciated as usual, remember to change the prefix of this match!

Other than that, it was an okay battle for my new monarchs, we didn't do that well, but with some MC, we should be a powerful force in no time.
