Hi, VM any errors.

Welcome to this battle against Leethoof & Paradoxus. Here's the rules, yadda, yadda, yadda...

2v2 Doubles
1 Day DQ, 2 for ref
Switch=(Word)
Abilities=None
Items=On
A Junkyard
Many lost items and stuff slowly rust and rot away in this junkyard. Magnets are incredibly dangerous to use, but can be powerful if used correctly. In fact, several underpowered electromagnets lay about. Plenty of crowbars, fenders, nails, and other items can be used as weapons in this ruthless arena. The ref must be clear on what items are within reach of what pokemon.

The Teams

Bastiodon (Vanguard) (M)
Nature: Relaxed (Adds * to Defense; A 15% decrease (rounded down) in Base Speed and a +5% increase in accuracy (e.g. 85 becomes 90) on an opponent's attacks)

Type:
<Rock>: Rock STAB; Take 2 less damage from all special attacks during Sandstorm, Earth Power, Earthquake and Magnitude have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).
<Steel>: Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Bomb, can be magnetized.

Abilities:
Sturdy: This Pokemon’s body is solidly constructed, reducing damage from an opponents attacks by one (1) damage. The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) damage.

Soundproof (DW) Unlocked: Pokemon with this ability emit their own powerful electrostatic or sound-dampening field, making them immune to sound-based moves other than an ally's or their own Heal Bell.. (Known sound moves: Ancient Song, Bark Out, Bug Buzz, Chatter, Echo Voice, Grasswhistle, Growl, Heal Bell, Hyper Voice, Metal Sound, Perish Song, Roar, Screech, Sing, Sing a Round, Snore, Supersonic, Uproar.

<Fighting> Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves, Meditate and Cheer Up have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Abilities
Anticipation This Pokemon is better at sensing dangerous attacks, and takes three (3) less damage from super-effective attacks, Selfdestruct, and Explosion.

Dry Skin This Pokemon has spongy, yet sensitive skin, causing it to burn in bright sunlight for damage but absorb water and heal damaged tissues in rain. This effect results in dealing 2 damage/action to this Pokemon in sunlight and recovering 2 HP/action in rain. It also makes the Pokemon weak to fire, but it absorbs the damage of water attacks and recovers HP when struck instead.

Poison Touch (DW) This Pokemon's body is covered with a film of poison. Whenever it hits an opponent with a contact attack, that opponent has a 30% chance of being Poisoned. When disabled, all this Pokemon's Poison-type attacks will inflict Toxic level poison.

ORDER OF OPERATIONS
1. Paradoxus issues actions.
2. Leethoof
issues actions.
3. I ref.
4. Leethoof
issues actions.
5. Paradoxus issues actions.
6. I ref.
7. Repeat from step 1 until a winner is found.

That's all. Pokemon are auto-released, looking forward to some clean fighting from you two, starting with Paradoxus' actions!

Oh, yeah, specify what items your Pokemon are holding as well...

Kewl, first match, go easy please.

ANYWHAAAA

Sparky will hold a Leppa Berry while MagicBacon will also hold a leppa berry

Monohm- Rain Dance- Hydro Pump, Hydro Pump all on Bastiodon

Spoink- Substitute- Psyshock- Psyshock all on Toxicroak

Awww dang....sorry I brought fully evolved pokemon...next time try to find a match that specifies NFE ones.

Go! Boggle and Vanguard! Since you two have been good little Dinosaurs/frogs, I'll give you Oran Berries!

Boggle...this is your first battle since you evolved, so do well! Begin with an Astonish on Mr. Bouncy Pig to hopefully stop that substitute. Then, a Sucker Punch should put some damage out on the same pokemon. End by using your frog skills to evasively jump high in the sky as the Bossosaurus does his stuff.

Vanguard, you are in the same situation as Boggle, with your first REAL battle. Begin by trolololing that Monohm by creating a Sandstorm after he opens up the clouds, reducing the damage those Hydro Pumps will do. Then, METAL BURST that first Hydro Pump, and shake things up with an Earthquake as your frog buddy leaps up high.

Good luck Paradoxus, sorry for bringing FE pokemon, and I hope I show you how awesome ASB is!

ROUND ONE: (Insert Pun Here)...

Well, here we are, it's time for Round 1 of this 2v2 Doubles ASB Match between users Leethoof, a fairly experienced member with a few battles under his belt, & Paradoxus, a newcomer to ASB competing in his first ever battle! I go over the rules as I drop the flag to start the Junkyard Scrap between the two. Leethoof sends in his twosome of Vanguard the Bastiodon & Boggle the Toxicroak to duel against Paradoxus' twosome of Sparky the Monohm & MagicBacon the Spoink, who were somewhat intimidated by the opposition. Who will seize the early advantage? Well, let's see.

Well, to kick this match off, Boggle goes to use Astonish! Boggle rushes towards MagicBacon & whacks him, giving him a fright of sorts! Its Super Effective! MagicBacon stumbles back & falls on some debris before getting back up to fight. Sparky wins the Speed-Tie with her teammate & lets loose with a Rain Dance! Sparky starts to waddle around & do some crazy moves, before suddenly, torrential rain came down, soaking everyone on the field & forcing some of the debris to corrode, erasing their usefulness by a bit. MagicBacon is third & he launches a Substitute! MagicBacon sacrifices some of his life & health & siphons it into a lookalike Spoink, which becomes a decoy which appears to fool his evolved adversaries! At this point, Vanguard had had enough of the teeming rain & proceeds to use Sandstorm! Vanguard kicks the dust on the Junkyard floor which then creates a Sandstorm, overriding the rain! This is not to anyone bar Vanguard's liking & they take damage from Sandstorm!

Well, Action two now, & Boggle opens again with a Sucker Punch! Boggle catches MagicBacon preparing an attack & he whacks him! Its Super Effective!...Hey, wait a second, that was the decoy that MagicBacon had set up & it has been wiped out in one shot! Boggle is dazed at this development & turns his head around, only to see MagicBacon deliver a Psyshock! MagicBacon creates some materialised brainwaves & sends them crashing into Boggle! Its Super Effective! Boggle is unable to take this & crashes into the debris after a big impact! Meanwhile, Sparky catches Vanguard preparing an attack & tries to stop it with a Hydro Pump! Sparky launches a massive jet of water from her mouth at Vanguard...but the attack ends up going off-target & misses, Vanguard hitting some more debris & corroding it. Luckily, it turned out to be a good thing for Sparky as Vanguard tried to launch a Metal Burst, but to no avail...Sometimes, miss-hax CAN be a good thing...

Final Action for the round & Boggle decides on a change of tracks & prepares an Evasive Jump, ready to dodge some attack, but not before another Psyshock from MagicBacon! MagicBacon creates some materialised brainwaves & sends them crashing into Boggle! Its Super Effective! Once again Boggle takes hefty damage & crashes into more debris, but gets up again in readiness to dodge some attack...Sparky ups the tempo on Vanguard with a Hydro Pump! Sparky launches a massive jet of water from her mouth at Vanguard, this time, hitting him! Its Super Effective! But Vanguard took less damage than expected, due to a couple of unknown factors...Nevertheless, Vanguard launches an Earthquake! Vanguard gets up on his hind legs before slamming the ground with his forelegs! Seismic waves is produced & Sparky & MagicBacon took damage, but Boggle times his jump very well & dodges Vanguard's attack, as the round ends.

Everyone's reasonably close to each other, most of the electromagnets have been significantly corroded, effectively rendering them useless & there are some other weapons & sharp objects like crowbars & whatnot nearby, but the corrosion from the watery assaults have rusted them to a certain degree. That's all for the round, a reasonable start from both sides. What will happen next round? Well, let's wait until these two make their actions...

END ROUND ONE

Leethoof, Paradoxus, me. Paradoxus, next time when you use Substitute, can you please specify a number between 15, 20 & 25? I had to assume 15 HP that time, so a number for the Substitute will help out a lot. Thank you.

CURSE YOU RAIN DANCE DESTROYING MY ATTEMPTS AT AN EPIC COMBO INVOLVING FLYING MAGNETIC BASTIODONS CRASHING INTO THINGS AT EXTREMELY HIGH SPEEDS

Boggle....psychic attacks are incredibly painful. We have got to stop that piggy now. Hit it with a Shadow Ball, then Nasty Plot, and Shadow Ball again! If it ever uses Psyshock, then smack it with a Sucker Punch before it can react, just subbing the action out.

Vanguard...despite the fact that rusted electromagnets make you sad,,,you can still kill some things. Help out your buddy with that soon-to-be-bacon by tossing a Rock Blast at it. Smack it Down to stop its obnoxious bouncing (hopefully its heart will stop in the process :P ) . Then proceed to Blast Rocks at it once again. If that wimpy cloud-dragon tries to Hydro Pump you, then sub any action for Metal Burst right back at it.

Summary: Boggle: Shadow Ball->Nasty Plot->Shadow Ball sub any action for Sucker Punch if Spoink Psyshocks
Vanguard: Rock Blast->Smack Down->Rock Blast sub any action for Metal Burst if Ohm Hydro Pumps

OK, MagicBacon, first I wan't you to take that Shadow Ball like a baws, then use Psyshock, then use Substitute while Toxicroak Nasty Plot's so you can obviously take that Shadow Ball and then fire off another Psyshock if he isn't down. If he is down, whack Bastiodon with a Confuse Ray to make him not use Metal Burst (HOPEFULLY, HAX?)

Monohm, while MagicBacon disects a frog, you use Rain Dance to take away that Sandstorm and then use Hydro Pump twice at Bastiodon

Summary:

MagicBacon: Psyshock-----> Substitute (20)--------> Psyshock all at Toxicroak

Sparky: Rain Dance-----> Hydro Pump -----> Hydro Pump

MagicBacon, replace Confuse Ray at Bastiodon if Toxicroak is already dead by the first Psyshock.

Oh, and Leethoof, remember that you can only substitute a move if it's a specific move, not any move.

ROUND TWO: Them Stupid Rocks...

Well, here comes Round Two to this ASB match between Paradoxus & Leethoof. After a reasonable start, it is unclear who has the advantage, but it looks like Paradoxus has a slight edge! Will Paradoxus capitalise on his slight advantage & pull off a surprise upset win? Or will Leethoof get the better of his adversary? Well, stay tuned.

Well, to begin with, Boggle uses Sucker Punch! Boggle catches MagicBacon preparing an attack & whacks him with a fist! Its Super Effective! MagicBacon stumbles back after taking some damage. Sparky on the other hand, appears to hate Sandstorm & uses Rain Dance! Sparky starts to waddle around & do some crazy moves, before suddenly, torrential rain came down, soaking everyone on the field & forcing some of the debris to corrode, erasing their usefulness. MagicBacon is third & he fires a Psyshock! MagicBacon creates some materialised brainwaves & sends them crashing into Boggle! Its Super Effective! Boggle slumps back after taking a lot of damage, before eating his Oran Berry in panic! Last up is Vanguard, & he launches a Rock Blast! Vanguard shoots 5 rocks at MagicBacon & much to MagicBacon's disgust, all 5 rocks hit him, with the fifth one being a Critical Hit! MagicBacon takes massive damage & slumps back as Action One ends.

Second Action, & Boggle uses Nasty Plot! Boggle starts to scheme before coming up with a bad scheme, raising his Special Attack by 2 Stages! MagicBacon tries to reply with Substitute, but it is too weak to make one, & as a result, the move fails. Sparky is third, & she uses Hydro Pump! Sparky launches a massive jet of water from her mouth at Vanguard, this time, hitting him in a weak spot! A Critical Hit! Its Super Effective! Vanguard takes a massive amount of damage from the impact, however, he stored the damage & unleashed it in an almighty Metal Burst! Vanguard unleashes this energy in the force of a powerful force which hits Sparky for a lot of damage.

Final Action of the round & Boggle catches MagicBacon preparing another attack & uses Sucker Punch! Boggle leaps towards MagicBacon before striking him with a powerful impact, hitting him in a weak spot! A Critical Hit! Its Super Effective! The Crit was unnecessary as MagicBacon crashes into the debris, his pearl dislodged, & swirly eyes. "MagicBacon is unable to battle! Boggle Wins!" On the other side of the spectrum, Sparky & Vanguard act repetitively, Sparky hitting with Hydro Pump, & Vanguard using Metal Burst for damage.

End of the round, & everyone's close to each other. The electromagnets are completely useless now, thanks to the rain, & most of the weapons are too rusted to be effective. What will happen next round? Wait until actions are issued...

Go Paradoxus...The title says it all. That Rock Blast (Sadly) turned the tide of the battle...

VICTORY CHARGE MY FRIENDS!!! Hurray for Bossosaurus Vanguard!

Vanguard...Protect against that first Hydro Pump. Boggle, as he protects, hop on his back and saddle up! Then, Vanguard, you must charge forth towards the fluffy cloud dragon with a furious Tackle. Boggle, as he charges, wait until you are very close before launching a Focus Blast. Even wait until after Vanguard takes him down if you have to, so that the focus blast actually is accurate. If the little dragon still remains standing, Rock Blast and Drain Punch it.

Summary: Vanguard: Protect->Tackle->Rock Blast
Boggle: Mount Vanguard->Focus Blast (waiting until Vanguard brings you in close)->Drain Punch

GG Paradoxus, remember to look for battles that specify NFE next time...I wish you luck in future battles. Maybe we can fight again once your pokemon are evolved!

Well, the end is nigh for this battle, enough talk, let's just cut to the chase...

To start things off, Vanguard goes to use Protect, summoning a White Barrier to block all attacks. Sparky tries to break it with Hydro Pump, but fails. In the meantime, Boggle mounts his partner in crime: Vanguard, ready for one final charge for victory. Second Action, & Sparky tries to stop the charge with Hydro Pump. It hits, & both Vanguard & Sparky eat their berries in panic. But it's not enough, as Vanguard hits with a Tackle, & then from his mount, Boggle fires a Focus Blast at Sparky, enough to deliver the final blow. Sparky fainted & Leethoof is the winner. Both participants shake each others hands & say their gg's. Leethoof celebrates, while Paradoxus was left to rue "What could have been". Next time, maybe...
