Alright, ASB fans, it's time for a Doubles match between two veterans: Engineer Pikachu and iiMKUltra! Here we are, in the ASB Tournament Arena (Thank GOD I don't have to go anywhere special/dangerous for this...), and just take a look at all those fans! It'll surely be an interesting fight. Here are the conditions!

And, now, the teams!

Eevee [Nocturne] (F)
Nature: Quiet (+Spa, -Spe)
Type: Normal
Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.

Stats:
HP: 90
Atk: Rank 2
Def: Rank 2
SpA: Rank 3 (+)
SpD: Rank 3
Spe: 47 (55/1.15)

EC: 2/6
MC: 1
DC: 1/5

Abilities:
Run Away: (Innate) This Pokemon is quick on its feet and will evade any field traps and hazards that would harm it (Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes) in an arena. A Pokemon can still absorb Toxic Spikes if it has Run Away and is Poison-typed. Run Away does not allow the Pokemon to switch out of trapping moves or abilities, however it can escape other situational trapping strategies in battle.
Adaptability: (Innate) The moves that match this Pokemon’s type have their Base Attack Power increased by two (2).
Anticipation (DW Locked): (Innate) This Pokemon is better at sensing dangerous attacks, and reduced the Base Attack Power from super-effective attacks, Selfdestruct, and Explosion by two (2).

Moves:
Tackle
Tail Whip
Helping Hand
Sand-Attack
Growl
Quick Attack

Shadow Ball
Dig
Toxic

Fake Tears
Yawn

Deino [Orion] (F)
Nature: Naughty (+Atk, -SDef)
Type: Dark/Dragon
Dark: Dark STAB; Immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.
Dragon: Dragon STAB; More in touch with legendary or special auras in arenas. Able to use Hyper Beam and Giga Impact without losing focus.

Stats:
HP: 90
Atk: Rank 4 (+)
Def: Rank 2
SpA: Rank 2
SpD: Rank 1 (-)
Spe: 38

EC: 1/9
MC: 0

Abilities:
Hustle: (Can Be Enabled) This Pokemon puts immense force and speed in its physical attacks, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by three (3), but the haste used lowers their accuracy to 80% of normal.

Moves:
Tackle
Dragon Rage
Focus Energy
Bite
Headbutt
DragonBreath
Roar
Crunch

Fire Fang
Ice Fang
Thunder Fang

Taunt
Thunder Wave
Toxic

Dragon Pulse
Outrage

Beldum (Hagane) (U)
Nature: Careful (Special Defense increased by *, Special Attack decreased by *)

Type: Steel / Psychic
Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.

Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Clear Body: (Innate) This Pokemon’s body structure makes it immune to status lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)
Light Metal (LOCKED): (Innate) The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

Stats: 40 / 55 / 80 / 35 / 60 / 30

Shibishiasu (Unagi) (M)
Nature: Quiet (Special Attack increased by *, -15% Speed, -10% Evasion)

Type: Electric
Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.

Ability:
Levitate: (Trait) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading Ground moves like Bulldoze, Dig, Earthquake, and Magnitude. Other Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

Here's how things are going to go:

-iiMKUltra sends out his Pokemon
-Engineer sends out his Pokemon, and issues actions
-iiMKUltra issues actions
-Reffing occurs
-Reverse order, rinse and repeat
-???
-PROFIT

In my lapse of judgment, I forgot that Engineer issues actions second. So, iiMKUltra, post your actions after Engineer sends out his Pokemon.

-Round 1 begin-

And it's a beautiful day in the ADB Tournament Arena! Boy, am I glad to be here, reffing this match between two ASB veterans. As far as the matchups go, iiMKUltra has the distinct advantage, because his Pokemon have large movepools to draw from, whereas Engineer's Pokemon are...more restricted, shall we say. But even then, powerful STABs and paralysis are effective weapons! Let's see how this round turns out!

Leading off, we have Unagi, the Tynamo, speeding across the arena with its magnetic field and launching tiny sparks at Orion! The sparks leave the rowdy dragon quite paralyzed! Nocturne the Eevee jumps straight in after that, conjuring some deadly poisons to help deal with Unagi. The attack hits, leaving Unagi badly poisoned! Hagane the Beldum, also floating along, takes the opportunity from Nocturne's cooldown to hit her from behind with an Iron Head attack. That's got to hurt, let me tell you...but wait! Here comes Orion, lagging from the paralysis, with...another Thunder Wave? That's right, iiMKUltra figures the best way to counter status is...with status! Hagane is now paralyzed as well!

With half the combatants paralyzed, who knows what's going to happen ne--oh, wait, more paralysis. That's right, folks, Unagi goes in for the kill on this one, and paralyzes Nocturne as well. Nocturne, apparently feeling more sleepy than paralyzed, yawns cutely at Hagane, who begins to feel drowsy itself! Orion comes through, now, with...another Thunder Wave?! You must be joking! Every Pokemon on the field is paralyzed now! Oh, the humanity! Hagane does manage to sneak in a Zen Headbutt, though, doing another solid chunk of damage to Nocturne. Am I sensing a double-teaming strategy?

It looks like the paralysis madness is finally over, and as such, Unagi has to use a move that isn't Thunder Wave. Looks like he went with Charge Beam, which does a fair amount of damage to Nocturne, though the Special Attack boosting effect didn't go off. Maybe its paralysis is shorting out the charge? Who knows! Nocturne, also not feeling the full paralysis yet, yawns again, this time at Unagi! Looks like Unagi's going to be taking a deadly nap in a few actions...but what's this? An offensive move from Orion? With Hustle activated, even! The Fire Fang strikes Hagane for massive damage! Hagane recoils heavily from the blow, but manages to retaliate at Nocturne using another Iron Head attack. Too bad as soon as the damage was dealt, Hagane fell asleep! Yawn sure is a sneaky bastard, huh?!

Can Engineer get out of this status rut? Can iiMKUltra do the same? I have no idea, but you better tune in next time to find out!

That was a close one, folks! You almost didn't get to hear me talk for a few straight minutes about this Pokemon fight. Right now, it's not looking very good for Engineer, with both Pokemon on his team asleep and/or about to fall asleep. But, this is Pokemon, and hence full of excitement, so I wouldn't be surprised if something amazing and unexpected were to happen (Ref's note: I already know what's going to happen, so you can take that last sentence as you may.).

With everyone paralyzed, Unagi still seems to be the fastest thing out there, and coils himself up to fire out increasing volleys of static electricity...but what's this?! Right before the attack comes out, the tiny floating eel tenses up, fully paralyzed! I guess that's what we get for none of the Pokemon being fully paralyzed last round...but no matter! Right after Unagi has his seizure, he falls asleep, as well. Probably the most interesting thing I've seen a floating eel do, that's for sure. Next, at a rather lagging pace, Nocturne comes right out of the gate with a Shadow Ball, aimed at the sleeping and helpless Hagane! The shadowy energy makes a direct hit, and Hagane...would probably be hurting, if it was awake to notice. Orion plans to follow up the assault, but in all of her Hustling, her Fire Fang attack misses! How do you even miss against a sleeping opponent? I guess that's just what happens when you get too cocky...oh, and Hagane's sleeping, by the way. Just a heads up.

With Unagi and Hagane both asleep, this is iiMKUltra's chance to really lay on the hurt. Nocturne decides to do this the roundabout way: lowering stats. But, when the Fake Tears come out, not only is Hagane...asleep, and probably didn't hear them, but its Clear Body ability prevents any stat drops! What a blunder on behalf of iiMKUltra. (To tell you the truth, though, it's not as bad as basing an entire turn's strategy around hitting a Grass-type with Leech Seed, so it's not that humiliating) Luckily, Orion comes in with some pure offense, baring her fangs for a Crunch attack...only to miss again?! Looks like the Pokemon in the blue corner are taking their advantages for granted this round...

Unagi is still asleep. Not much of a surprise there, huh? But, on the other side of the arena, Nocturne decides to erase her mistakes with a well-timed--BZZZZZZZZZZZ--Now, that's what I call a shocker! Nocturne was fully paralyzed, too! Let's see if Orion has any luck this action, with a second Fire Fang! Luckily enough, she bypasses Hustle and paralysis to do massive damage to the sleeping Hagane! But, what's this? That's right, folks, Hagane has woken up, and it is ready for action! So ready, in fact, that it takes the immediate initiative to use Iron Head on Nocturne, slamming the paralyzed fox for some more damage.

A lot of bad luck and mistakes this round, but iiMKUltra still has the advantage! Unagi wakes up on his next action, so maybe we can see a comeback, but for now, the intensity needs to vent out of the arena for a bit...I think I might be getting paralyzed up here in the press box! We'll be back after the break.

The plot thickens, ASB fans! With the status shroud slowly receding from the battle, expect to see a lot more attacks actually connecting. At least, that's what I hope, because this round would be pretty boring if everything missed, kind of like last round. Now, cameraman, get a close up on those Pokemon...

Unagi is finally awake! The floating eel feels really good to be getting back into the game, and he re-asserts his power with a fairly weak Charge Beam, directed at Nocturne the Eevee, of course. But...what's this? Unagi's special attack stat went up by one level as a result of the residual sparks! Now he's even more powerful...though powerful in the first place was admittedly a bit of a stretch. Next up is Nocturne, who brushes off the light sparks and decides to make Unagi relive the nightmares...or maybe just the sleeping. Whatever, point is, Yawn goes through and Unagi is drowsy yet again. Orion finally breaks the Hustle accuracy drop and chomps into Hagane's steel body with blazing teeth, doing super-effective damage. Hagane eventually shakes her off, then aims another Iron Head at Nocturne. What an impact!

Unagi sure is feeling the electricity in this battle, because he's going for another Charge Beam! This one hits Nocturne for slightly more damage, due to the boost in special attack he got last action. But, unfortunately, he doesn't get that boost again, and helplessly falls asleep. Deja vu! Nocturne lobs a deadly Shadow Ball at Hagane, who's been doing a very good job this round of taking hits. Orion follows up the ghost attack with her own dark-type attack, and Crunches into Hagane's...metal exterior. Strong teeth. Good job. Hagane seems to be powering up some sort of super attack...Amazing! Hagane's Iron Zen Smasher combo clears the field and throws Nocturne across the arena! That combination did so much damage that Nocturne just couldn't handle it, and falls, KO'd.

With Orion all by herself, Unagi decides to--wait, he's asleep. Next! Orion tries to chomp into Hagane with fiery fangs again, but she ends up being fully paralyzed! Hagane can't do much after that massive combo, so all it can do is rest. Wow, what a bore.

If I fall asleep, don't worry, the later rounds of this fight will be much more intense, I promise!
