Watefall Colosseum Battle...EXCEPT DOUBLES

6v6 Doubles
2 recoveries, 5 chills
3 Day DQ, 4 for ref
Special Condition: Maximum of 1 Fully-Evolved pokemon or non-evolvable Pokemon per pair
Arena: Waterfall Colosseum

A stadium overlooking the ocean, Waterfall Colosseum is an outdoor battlefield, meaning all moves are allowed. The titular waterfall on one side of the stadium provides a constant water source for water attacks, as well as many boulders created from the constant pressure of falling tons of water.

Due to the nature of the battle, I kind of, um, NEED it to be Switch=KO.

Waterfall Colloseum is like the only thing I really love about PBR. I want to do this.

So, if am have this correct, you can have up to 3 FE pokemon, but only one per pair. Sounds good to me.

As you said, switch kinda has to be KO.
Lets do all abilities and no items

Also, as Chieliee pointed out a few posts up, we still need a ref for that battle. Any takers?

Welcome one and all to another exciting battle here in the Waterfall Colosseum! I will be your host today as we watch a thrilling battle between two accomplished trainers! And here they come now, both trainers look confident, ready to battle for victory. Daramber is first to send out his pokemon, a fearsome Duclohm and a jolly Politoed! Jas responds with his own first squad, a naughty little Pansage and a powerful Typhlosion! Doesn't look like any side has a clear advantage, though that politoad may give Jas some trouble. May the battle commence!

Well, I certainly think we are at a disadvantage here, mainly because of Drizzle. But we'll just have to deal with it.

Typhlosion, start out by making it sunny, then EQ the field and then HP Politoed

Vespucci, start with a Seed Bomb on Politoed, then Leaf Storm it, and finish with another Seed Bomb.

Typhlosion: Sunny Day - Earthquake - Hidden Power Electric (Politoed)

Pansage: Seed Bomb (Politoed) - Leaf Storm (Politoed) - Seed Bomb (Politoed)

And the battle begins! Typhlosion is first to move by setting up a Sunny Day! The scourching heat will definitely weaken Politoed's water attacks, though the frog has other ideas in mind. The Politoed fires a freezing Ice Beam at the Pansage, hitting for some nice super effective damage. The Pansage responds with a Seed Bomb against the toed, returning the damage right back! Meanwhile, Hydra feels like she's left out and unleashes a Flamethrower at the Pansage, scorching the poor little monkey!

The Typhlosion decides to stomp the ground, summoning an Earthquake hitting everyone! Well, almost everyone, as Politoed Protects, allowing it to come out of the attack unscratched! Vespucci shakes off the attack and tries to leaf storm the politoed, but us unable to scratch the protective barrier. Hydra the Duclohm looks like she feels shaken up after that earthquake, but tries to hold it together by firing a Hurricane! Unfortunately, looks like that earthquake rattled her up a bit cause the harsh winds completely miss her target, nearly blowing away a portion of the audience in the process!

Typhlosion is focusing on his prey now, as it looks like he just wants to end things. Summoning some power within, he unleashes a Hidden Power! The attack does damage, but not as much as expected for a super effective attack. Bet he wishes he had solar beam! Ruckingfain the Politoed decides to attack Pansage again with an Ice Beam! Man, she must really hate monkeys. Vespucci doesn't take it sitting down, however, and responds with another Seed Bomb! Hydra once again feels left out, and unleashes a powerful Flamethrower! And with that, the poor Pansage faints only after one round!

Excellent.

Ruckingfain, Hydro Pump ~ Hydro Pump ~ Hydro Pump

If it is at any point in the round sunny, Ability: Drizzle.

Hydra, Surf ~ Hydro Pump ~ Surf.

If Typhlosion uses Dig, aim down the hole with your attacks. The base power may be reduced, but it should suffice with the rain and SE damage.

It might be NVE, but With full HP and the Sun at the start, it should be the most powerful blow we have, so start with an Eruption. Then Politoed should make it rain, so try to stop them from hitting you and then keep hitting them both and try to do as much as possible before you get swamped.

Taking advantage of the last moment of sun, typhlosion unleashes a devastating Eruption, encasing both of his opponents in molten lava that sears them. Under desperation from both of its opponents, typhlosion quickly sets up a Smokesreen in hopes of avoiding his opponent's attacks. Politoed tries to hammer its foe with a hydropump, but misses completely! the Duclohm is more accurate and hits directly with its own Hydropump.

Man this is a shitty matchup

Genbu, Waterfall ~ Aqua Tail ~ Waterfall Roggenrola.

Flooffy, Close Combat ~ Brick Break ~ Close Combat Roggenrola. If your move is going to kill him, swap actions and Aerial Ace Tomohawk.

Lets go Roggenrola and Tomohawk!

Rock, you are not lasting long, so use Magnetude as much as possible, since it hits both, including a SE hit on Tirtuga, and doesn't hit Hatchet.

Hatchet, you own this matchup. Heracross looks more threatening, but he also looks easiest to beat, so blow it away quickly.

Roggenrola: Magnetude x3

Tomohawk: Air Slash - Hurricane - Air Slash (all on Heracross)

The new pokemon are out and the second round begins! Flooffy starts out the round by charging forward, unleashing a powerful Close Combat at the roggenrola. The little rock tries to shake off the damage, but is met with a Waterfall attack from the Genbu, once again hitting for stap super effective damage. Hatchet the Tomohawk doesn't take this sitting down and unleashes a powerful Air Slash at the herracross! Oooof, that took out a serious chunk of the bug's health. Little Rock is the last to move and unleashes a Magnitude. Looks like the attack rolled a high base power, but Heracross's resistance and Tirtouga's defensive abilities helped them take the attack.

Heracross the the first to move yet again and he unleashes a Brick Break at the Rock! The attack is a head on Critical Hit, sending the little pokemon flying back. Hatchet tries to avenge his partner once more with a blistering Hurricane. The blistering winds hammer the heracross and his double weakness. Genbu attacks the little rock once again, hitting with an Aqua Tail, while the roggenrola merely creates shock waves from his Magnitude, this time rolling a slightly lower base power.

Heracross charges forward with one final Aerial Ace against Tomohawk, dealing some nice damage. . The enraged Tomohawk unleashes a powerful Air slash, finishing off the Heracross for good. Seeing that his partner is down, Genbu fires off a Waterfall at the the roggenrola, finishing off the rock type.

Two pokemon down after only one round! Does Genbu have a chance against the mighty flying/fighting type? Let's wait and see!

Perfect. We got this one. Attack it. A lot. But if it bides, sit back and be a prankster.

Aura Sphere - Earth Power - Aura Sphere
If Tirtuga uses Bide, replace next 2 actions (1 if it action 3) with Toxic and Sunny Day

The doubles battle has become a one on one, who will take home the gold? Hatchet releases an Aura Sphere at the turtle in order to hit for super effective damage, sending the Tirtouga tumbling backwards. However, instead of attacking back, Genbu uses a Shell Smash. Perhaps he enjoys the physical abuse, eitherway, it did increase his offensive presence quite a bit.

Tomohawk continues to attack with an Earth Power, though Genbu's defencive abilities shave off quite a bit of the damage. This allows the little pokemon to hammer his foe with a Waterfall.

Tomohawk targets his opponents weak defenses in one final Aura Sphere, while the tirtouga responds with trying to shell smash again, but then decides that he'd rather not hurt his body any more than he needs to. After all, his shell is already smashed, how much more smashed can it get?
Tomohawk:
Aura Sphere: 16 Damage, 6 Energy
Earth Power: 11 Damage, 7 Energy
Aura Sphere: 17 Damage, 6 Energy

Tirtouga:

My two normal types don't really like fighting types. So lets get Croagunk out of the way.

Igglybuff: Psychic - Psychic - Psychic (All on Croagunk)
Porygon-Z: Psychic - Psychic - Psychic (All on Croagunk)
If Croagunk faints, Pory-Z should switch to Solarbeams, and all attack should go to Lanturn.

Well, FUCK.

Croagunk, Fake Out (Porygon-Z) ~ Fake Out (Igglybuff) ~ Drain Punch (Porygon-Z)

Lanturn, Thunderbolt (Igglybuff) ~ Surf ~ Confuse Ray (Porygon-Z)

I know these are horrible actions but I have a horrible headache bleeeegh
