Well, seems like the Don wants a battle... I'll counter with Packleader the Riolu! Let's get him in with an opening Screech! Then, open fire with a Poison Jab! Finally... Um... Quick Attack! I know we're new to this, but we can do this!

I am getting sloopy. Unfortunately this is getting more and more common.

It won't happen again.

Also, due to some miscalculations, I picked more battles to ref than I can manage with the 2-3 hours of free time I have every day. So, to make sure no one has to wait too much (I am looking at at least 1 daily update)/get subrefs, flavor will be cut down until my workload becomes more...manageable.

Hi all, I am Frosty your ref. My Snorlax Hector was supposed to help me ref (Veran was too mean T_T), but we are on a berry forest so..

Action 1

Phanpy uses his Pick Up ability to get a Lansat Berry to fuel future Nature Gift (resulting a 8BP Flying Type attack) without wasting an action.

After that, Packleader Screeches to reduce Don Corneo's defense, while the Phanpy goes with the aforementioned Nature Gift, for a supereffective hit.

If this keep going like that, the end result will be pretty clear. Which is kinda boring.

Packleader goes the offensive route with...Poison Jab. A not very effective move that didn't result in status. perhaps it wasn't the kind of offensive necessary in this scenario (hint: try STAB >.>).

But luckily for the Riolu, he picked the best moment to use a NVE move, as Don Corneo fights back with Counter.

Riolu: Poison Jab: 8 + 1.5 = 9.5*0.67 = 6.36 + 3.5 = 9.8 (10) damage for 6 energy

Action 3

Showing a great variety of weak moves (:D), Packleader tries his hand now with Quick Attack netting a Critical Hit, resulting in the strongest attack the Phanphy faced this battle (which is so sad ._.).

He fights back with another Flying Type Nature Gift with Lansat Berries enough to fire more 6 of them. Not that it will need that much.

And that wraps up round 1. Will Riolu and barty manage to turn this battle around? Or will Don Corneo and Arcanite confirm their favouritism?

Anyway, for some odd reason Don Corneo moves first (despite being slow as fuck) and strikes once again with Flying Type Natural Gift for major damage.

But the Riolu seems to be prepared this time and decides to use STAB moves for a change. Starting with the strongest of them all. Counter.

Will that be enough to turn the tides? Hardly, but it is quite the morale boost.
