We got Triples! Athenodoros Vs Frosty!

Status
Not open for further replies.
I'm looking for two 3v3 triples matches: one for FE Pokemon, one for NFE Pokemon (not necessarily first stage).

For both, the arena can just be a standard ASB arena, DQ = 2 Days or 3 for the ref and the standard 2 recovers/5 chills.

EDIT: Oh yes, positioning is off, thanks Obj
^^^^

I accept the NFE one.

Loki the Haunter (M)

Nature:
Naughty - Adds * to Attack, takes * from Special Defence

Type:
Ghost - Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.

Abilities:
Levitate - (Can be enabled) This Pokemon puts immense force and speed in its physical attacks, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by three (3), but the haste used lowers their accuracy to 80% of normal.

Athenodoros has said he doesn't want to evolve Riolu, so Frosty, you're up.

hmmm...I'm once again in a not so good spot. I guess moving first has its disadvantages.

Let's change that, right?

Gespenst: Trick Room - Shadow Punch at Haunter
If taunted replace Trick Room with Shadow Punch at Haunter
Ganon: Fire Blast at Haunter - Wild Charge at Haunter
Jalhalla: Imprison (Confuse Ray - Shadow Ball - Pain Split) - Shadow Ball at Haunter
If Gespenst is taunted replace actions with Trick Room - Imprison (Confuse Ray - Shadow Ball - Pain Split)

I probably forgot something, but it seems fine for now.

EDIT: Also, a heads up: you have a shitload of repeated moves in the movepool of your pokemon. You may wanna fix that.

lol, there are loads of repeated moves. Not sure what I was doing last claim. Anyway, and on to the battle at hand, this looks like a tricky one. I think it might be time for a failsafe:

Haunter: Perish Song => Shadow Ball (Lampent)
Nidorino: Sludge Bomb (Lampent) => Sucker Punch (Lampent)
Ares: Rock Slide * 2

Here we are again, another battle at the ASB Tournament Arena! This, of course, though neither of these combatants are in the Tournament, they are certainly no slouches when it comes to battling. Athenodoros kicks things off by sending out Loki the Haunter, Mars the Nidorino and Ares the Riolu. Frosty then sends out Gespenst the Dusclops, Ganon the Tepig and Jalhalla the Lampent.

Not wasting any time, Loki starts with a Perish Song, putting a counter on the battle. Mars then blasts Jalhalla with a Sludge Bomb, but being a Ghost-type, he doesn't seem to care that much. Instead, he begins to Imprison Loki, preventing him from using Shadow Ball, Confuse Ray, and Pain Split. Ares then buries his opponents underneath a Rock Slide, while Ganon is able to break free and scorch Loki with a powerful Fire Blast. Now to help his teammates, Gespenst sets up a Trick Room, allowing slower Pokemon to move before faster ones.

Taking advantage of his Speed (or lack of), Gespenst's fist becomes cloaked in Shadows, as he Punches Loki. Ganon then Charges Loki with a Wild ferocity of an Emboar. Ares then attacks with another Rock Slide. Jalhalla is able to climb (if a lamp can actually climb) out from the rocks and launches a Shadow Ball at Loki, but not before being smacked by a Sucker Punch from Mars. Loki then tries to attack with a Shadow Ball of his own, but thanks to Jalhalla's Imprison, he is unable to.

Atheno, you're up.

Alright, just time for some offense, I guess:

Ares: Rock Slide * 2
Mars: Sludge Bomb (Ganon) * 2
If Jalhalla faints, target Jalhalla instead
Loki: Sucker Punch (Ganon) * 2
If Ganon doesn't attack, target Jalhalla instead

so I have 2 rounds to defeat 3 pokemon.

...have I ever said how much I hate Perish Song? Oh well, at least the battle ends faster.

Ganon: Fire Blast (Haunter) - Will-o-Wisp (Riolu)

Still up to some dirty tricks, Loki Sucker Punches Ganon, just before being Blasted with a wall of Fire from the tiny pig. Gespenst then invades Mars' mind and Disables him, preventing him from using Sludge Bomb on Jalhalla. Jalhalla then creates an incredible Wave of Heat, that engulfs his opponents. But whats this? Loki has managed to barely avoid the attack, while Ares has taken some critical damage. Ares then continues to attack with Rock Slide.

Gespenst and Ganon then turn towards Ares, and hit him with a Shadow Punch, followed by a Will-o-Wisp, burning him. Ares doesn't seem to mind the burn that much, as he continues to bury his opponents in another Rock Slide. Loki tries to lure Jalhalla in for another Sucker Punch, but he won't buy it and he decides to Split his Pain with Mars, who is to busy trying to remember how to use Sludge Bomb.

Frosty, you're up.

Wasn't Jalhalla supposed to move before Ares on action 1 (and 2 for that matter)? His speed is 47 against Riolu's 52 (according to the OP) and Trick Room is up, so he was supposed to Heat Wave first and not get flinched.

Since that may be the difference between a dead or alive Haunter (if RNG doesn't screw it all up), I'll wait for the reply before giving my orders.

last round, make it count.

Gespenst: Shadow Punch - Shadow Punch (both at Nidorino)
Ganon: Wild Charge (Haunter) - Fire Blast (Nidorino)
Jalhalla: Heat Wave - Fire Blast (Nidorino)

Alright, just going for the counters I guess. Can't believe there was only one easy KO. Normally there is such a frenzy that only a couple of Pokemon are left. Anyway:

Nidorino: Venoshock (Ganon) => Sucker Punch (Ganon)

Yes, a good game. Maybe another game will be called for, when I don't have so many repeating moves and stuff and can avoid Perish Song, although the idea of this was a quick triples match. Fun anyway though. And thanks, dan.
