Challenging Fire Blast to a 1v1 Doubles!

Mon gets cloned, game over when real mon is KO'd, 2x counters. You know the drill. 1 Day DQ, Switch=KO, no Recoveries or Chills.

I'm gonna assume that it's standard arena etc.

Terrador's Pokemon:

63.png

Abra [Adrian] (Male)
Nature: Hasty (+15% Spe, +30 Acc, -1 Def)
Type: Psychic
Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Synchronize: (Innate) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison types cannot be poisoned and Fire types cannot be burned in this manner.
Inner Focus: (Innate) When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.
Magic Guard (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes it immune to damage from Hail, Sandstorm, and damage from Leech Seed, Poisoning, and Burn. It can still attack itself in confusion, but will not absorb any damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects the Pokemon from its own reckless recoil attacks.

Shroomish (Amanita) (F)

Nature: Adamant
+1 Atk, -1 SpA

Type: Grass

Grass STAB; Immunity to Leech Seed and Worry Seed. 50% reduction in status effect chance of oncoming "powder" attacks. More mobile in areas with strong natural light sources. Superior senses in tall grass and forest areas. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus.

Abilities:
Effect Spore
Type: Can be Disabled
This Pokemon has a stockpile of defensive spores which it realeases on opponents who strike with contact attacks. There is a 10% chance each of poison, paralysis, and sleep. When disabled, the Pokemon's Powder attacks are 10% more accurate.

Poison Heal
Type: Innate
Pokemon with this ability have internal structures that absorb the toxins in poison and uses them to recover two (2) HP/action instead of taking poison damage. When a Pokemon with Poison Heal inflicts Poison on themselves with an attack, it uses up one of their Recovery Moves. If Toxic'd, the Toxic counter will still go up each round and Toxic will do the relevant damage for that round should their ability be disabled.

Quick Feet (DW)
Type: Innate
This Pokemon feels a sense of anxiety when afflicted with a status condition and its speed increases by 50% (x1.5). Although it can still be fully paralyzed, it will not suffer the speed drop.

Bronzor (Not earned yet) (F)

Nature: Brave
+1 Atk, -15% Spe, -10% Evasion

Type: Steel/Psychic

Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.

Abilities:
Levitate
Type: Trait
This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading Ground moves like Earthquake, Level Ground, and Magnitude. Other Ground moves can still hit.

Heatproof
Type: Innate
This Pokemon's mirror-like alloyed skin protects it from Fire-type attacks, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.) The damage inflicted by burns is also cut in half.

Heavy Metal (DW)
Type: Innate
The Pokemon's body structure is immensely dense, doubling its weight. Additionally the Base Attack Power of full contact attacks [Avalanche, Brave Bird, Body Slam, Bounce, Double-Edge, Dragon Rush, Extremespeed, Flare Blitz, Giga Impact, Headbutt, Head Charge, Head Smash, Heat Crash, Heavy Slam, Hi Jump Kick, Ice Ball, Iron Head, Jump Kick, Outrage, Petal Dance, Quick Attack, Revenge, Rollout, Slam, Spark, Steamroller, Submission, Superpower, Tackle, Take Down, Thrash, V-create, Volt Tackle, Waterfall, Wood Hammer, and Zen Headbutt is increased by two (2).] Seismic Toss, Vital Throw, and Circle Throw will fail against this Pokemon unless the user is a Fighting-type.

A crowd starts to gather in the ASB arena as a heated battle is about to begin. Both Terrador and Fire Blast step onto the arena, and simultaneously release their Pokemon. Terrador sends out Adrian, his Abra, while Fire Blast sends out his Bronzor, which lacks a nickname but has a gender to compensate. Instantly and unexpectedly, both Pokemon double! The clones of each Pokemon are extremely convincing -- it seems as though there is no way to discern which of each pair is the real one. Oh well, I guess this is now a doubles match!

Abra #2 starts out by Protecting itself, while Abra #1 sets up a Reflect to guard them both. It appears that Terrador will be playing this defensively. Each Bronzor attempt to unleash a Payback on Abra #2, but with all the defensive barriers surrounding it, the attacks fail to work! Abra #2 then Teleports far away (like a proper Abra!) to avoid the Bronzor, while Abra #1 summons a ball of electricity and shoots a Zap Cannon at Bronzor #1. The attacks connects, mostly due to Bronzor's lack of evasion and Abra's insanely high accuracy boost, paralyzing Bronzor #1. This does not stop the Bronzor pair from trying to get Payback, but Abra #2 is too far away for them to hit! Abra #2 Protects itself again and Abra #1 launches a second Zap Cannon on Bronzor #2, paralyzing it. Both Bronzor sluggishly float over towards Abra #2 and attempt to get Payback for a third time, but are once again unable to...

Both Bronzor are paralyzed and have used a significant amount of energy, while the pair of Abra is unscathed due to their tricky defenses... however, they have both used up much of their energy as well, especially Abra #2.

Suddenly, the Abra team decides to go on the offensive, with Abra #1 firing a Shadow Ball at Bronzor #1, while Abra #2 uses Zap Cannon on Bronzor #2. Both attacks hit the Bronzor hard, however both Bronzor retaliate by causing two Earthquakes in succession, which are weakened due to the Reflect, but nonetheless do significant damage to the two Abra. Abra #2 then decides to use a Shadow Ball on Bronzor #2, while Abra #1 uses a Zap Cannon on Bronzor #1, the latter of which scores a critical hit! Both Bronzor are getting a little upset, so they attack Abra #1 with a Payback for very good damage. Abra #1 launches another Shadow Ball at Bronzor #1, while Abra #2 fires another Zap Cannon at Bronzor #2. The Bronzor both use Payback on Abra #1 again, making it stumble back as it loses even more HP.

Abra #1 is very weakened, while Abra #2 is almost out of Energy. The Bronzor seem to be doing OK, however in reality they are only doing just a little better than the Abra are...

Terrador got 'haxed' I guess, because neither Bronzor was ever fully paralyzed.... Abra #2 used just enough energy with its combination to faint itself put just not enough power to faint Bronzor #1, leaving it with 1 HP. On action 3 Bronzor #2 targeted Abra #1 instead due to the substitution, fainting it.

Abra #1 was the real Abra, while Bronzor #2 was the real Bronzor.
