Flygon is fantastically epic pokemon, that is sadly outclassed by garchomp in almost every possible way. Garchomp is faster, harder hitting, and has greater bulk, as well as having close to identical movepools. Flygon was excelled in Ou in gen 4, but that was partly because Garchomp was banned. Flygon hates Garchomp like you could not believe.

Adamant/Jolly
Levitate
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw
-Rock Slide
-Fire Punch

  • Basically the same as garchomp except with levitate, allowing you to go double quake although its not the best strategie
  • Adamant Flygon outspeeds anything not scarfed
  • Earthquake is a powerful STAB spread move letting it double revenge with scarf or hit both opponents very hard with choice band
  • Dragon Claw is its secondary STAB, which gets great coverage with Earthquake
  • Rock Slide is another good spread move hitting flying types very hard. 30% flinch rate has crushed many people's hopes and dreams, but 90 accuracy has too.
  • Fire Punch is so you arent completely walled by Steels immune to Earthquake

Adamant/Jolly
Levitate
-U-Turn
-Earthquake
-Outrage
-Stone Edge/Firepunch/Thunderpunch
  • One thing Flygon gets that Garchomp doesn't is U-Turn. When its only 3 vs. 3 a bad matchup with your leads can be extremely bad. U-turn fixes this while saving a powerful attacker for later.
  • STAB Earthquakes are still powerful and great with dragon moves.
  • STAB Outrage is very dangerous, and its not as dangerous in GBU because there is a smaller chance of seeing a steel, and you will be prepared for it when you see it in team preview.
  • The final slot allows you to hurt common switch ins. Stone Edge kills Flying types you might suspect to switch in on an Earthquake. Fire Punch hits Steels that are immune to EQ, while Thderpunch helps deel with bulky waters.
