-insomnia gives it a niche at stopping special oriented grass types in their tracks

-can switch into grass types with impunity
-also can do decently against other random special attackers
-it's bulky

-night shade provides consistent damage
-reflect for team support
-toxic/psycho shift derp
-whirlwind phases everything
-likes sr/spikes support
-likes rapid spin support

[OTHER OPTIONS]
-air slash, heat wave, psychic, generally inferior
-physical attacking - again, generally inferior
-offensive set with tinted lens lol
-hypnosis but unreliable

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]
-physical attackers give noctowl trouble though status can be annoying
-strong super effective special attacks also will bring down the owl
-in general any pokemon that can take advantage of it's lack of offensive prowess will beat it

Noctowl isn't in the list of RU Pokemon available for reservation... I would wait until the RU analyses are completed, as Noctowl isn't really viable for the RU metagame. Oglemi also specifically stated not to reserve crappy NU Pokemon until the time comes. And you didn't even post in the reservations thread >.<

I've been testing it out and it's surprisingly decent. I can post logs tomorrow.

But if a mod thinks that Noctowl can wait/probably isn't viable enough for RU, then that's fine with me too.

Yeah imma hold off on Noctowl for now, you can work on this later once we get the main RU pokes done first.

Noctowl just offers nothing to a team unlike Togetic, and is just a terribly outclassed mon in general, we'll save it for NU

Yeah, sorry, but Noctowl's just not good enough. It's also almost completely outclassed by Mandibuzz, who isn't all that good right now either.
