TEAM TERRADOR:

Gengar (Nappa) [Male]

Type: Ghost/Poison: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.
Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens/haze uninhibited. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus. Superior senses in urban settings.

Nature: Hasty (+15% Speed, +18.539... Acc, -1 Def)

Ability: Levitate:

Type: Innate

This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a flying type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

A mighty coin flip of the ages PRODUCES THIS RESULT in the ENTIRELY UNNECSARRY hide tags. If Random.org decides to feel one-ish, then ENGINEER PIKACHU will send out first. If it decides one is a lame number, and two is cooler, then TERRADOR will send out first.
You evil dirty rebellious creature

1/2: Engineer sends out first, and orders second!

Engineer Pikachu

Good morning, you bastards!
is a Contributor Alumnus
Good luck, Terrador.

Sending out a Pokemon first in a Switch=KO battle certainly doesn't tilt things in my favor; it seems I have only one choice.

Kurage, do me proud. Dissuade your foe with your Liquid Ooze.

"Well, Engineer Pikachu... I know that you have dreaded this day. However, I have awaited it eagerly. Finally, the time has come to match the powers of our minds and the strength of our Pokemon... to test our conviction, our drive, our desire for victory....

I remember when we first met. You and I dueled in the tournament several months ago. Having defeated one veteran, I grasped at the faint hope that I would be able to defeat you. However, I was unskilled and my Pokemon weak; your strength far eclipsed mine. Yet, somehow, I very nearly managed to defeat you that day. And now, it is time for our most climactic battle yet: that which shall decide which of us shall become the Poison-Type Gym Leader. I will hold absolutely nothing back, and I will never forgive you if you don't give me everything you've got.

So, my dearest friend, my steadfast ally, my greatest rival... let the battle begin."

"I think I'll use my Fidgit here. Twitch, I choose you!"

Twitch the Fidgit (M)
Prankster

"All right. Engineer's Tentacruel is incredibly powerful, but its main strength lies in its support moves. Cut those off, even at the expense of a solid chunk of HP, and the battle may be ours. Stay evasive, and we may win the day!"

Taunt ~ Dig ~ Dig
IF (Tentacruel uses Protect), THEN (Use Stealth Rock; if Stealth Rock is already up, then use Spikes)
IF (Tentacruel would be underwater when you unleash Dig), THEN (Use Stealth Rock; if Stealth Rock is already up, then use Spikes)

Engineer Pikachu

Good morning, you bastards!
is a Contributor Alumnus
We've seen this trickery before; if our options will be limited, we'll just have to deal with it. We have plenty of other tricks that we can utilize. This... twitchy prankster, on the other hand... we'll just see how it fares under the might of your moves!

Begin by blasting Fidgit with a jet of boiling hot water. Then, charge up an attack and unleash it right after it surfaces!

Scald - Surf + Whirlpool combo - cooldown

Swamp the entire battlefield with a torrent of water, then focus it down into a vicious vortex that will trap Fidgit and not let it move. With any luck, we'll be able to neuter its mobility to make it much more difficult for it to dig, while slowly sapping away at its health!

Engineer Pikachu, unfortunately sending out first, cautiously begins with Kurage the Tentacruel! The large jellyfish slips into the arena's moat, awaiting his foe. Terrador chews on his incredibly intuitive thoughts for a while, then decides to release Twitch the Fidgit.

The two pokemon eye each other for a while before Twitch begins a rediculously infuriating dance to Taunt Kurage, saying (in Pokemon language) that Terrador has already won! Kurage gets rather mad, and sends a blast of Scalding water at his foe, striking Twitch for super-effective damage and the water washes over his grounded body.

Twitch then dives into the ground, attempting to evade any attacks from Tentacruel. He rises up too soon, though, hitting Kurage with a Dig attack, only to be washed away and embroiled in a massive Surf, swamping the entire field with the moat. A small Whirlpool forms around Twitch, entrapping him.

Twitch attempts to break free from the vortex of water and dive into the comfortable ground, but Kurage continues to imprison him in the watery swirls. As the round ends, Twitch continues to struggle against the whirlpool, while Kurage smiles in his own jellyfish-ish way.

Very well. Our options become even more limited due to the movepool of our foe. Kurage, just keep pounding away!

Hydro Pump - BubbleBeam - Water Pulse
IF (Fidgit uses Earth Power) THEN (Use Mirror Coat and push actions back; if using Mirror Coat would fail, then carry on as normal)
IF (Fidgit is in a stage of Dig when it is your turn) THEN (Use Dive if Fidgit would surface that action; use Acid Spray at the ground to cover the ground in corrosive acid otherwise)

Fidgit cannot possibly withstand the brunt of our aquatic assaults!

Twitch, as the whirlpool continues to swirl around him, takes a moment to pranksterfully set up a shining Light Screen, cleverly protecting him from the incoming aquatic onslaught. Kurage still fires off a mighty Hydro Pump, dealing impressive damage even through the screen. Twitch then sends a slicing Air Slash towards his foe, while Tentacruel retaliates with a Bubblebeam, blowing them in pretty shapes and dealing relatively minimal damage. Twitch uses another Air Slash; Kurage is still unfazed by the gusty blades, and shoots out a Water Pulse. Despite both combatants hoping for secondary effects, NOT ONE happened! Gasp!

Gah, I hate IE (especially when reffing).

Earth Power x3
IF (Reflect), AND (You haven't already used Taunt), THEN (Taunt and push your actions back)
IF (Protect), THEN (Use Stealth Rock on the first instance, Spikes on following instances)

Great job, Kurage! It's a shame that we'll have to order first next round, but we'll be able to take this fellow out, at least!

Seriously, I hate IE. It won't let me type anything above the sprite, so no flavor.

Alright, Kurage. This is one of the most dangerous Pokemon he has, so let's be on our guard.

Scald - Hydro Pump - Scald
IF (Gengar has DT clones when it is your turn) THEN (Use Surf instead; if Surf would not be usable, then Sludge Wave)
IF (Thunder is used) THEN (If it is in a combo and you have at least 42 HP then Mirror Coat; if it is in a combo and you do not have at least 42 HP then carry on as normal; if it is not in a combo then use Mirror Coat)

Terrador replaces the fallen Fidgit with Nappa the Gengar. The ghost grins as he makes his way on to the field, ready to fight. Nappa fires off a powerful Thunderbolt to zap his aquatic foe, while Kurage shoots off a blast of Scalding water, the heat so intense as to burn Nappa. Gengar takes this time to Disable the pesky scald, while Kurage continues to fire a Hydro Pump, his shot going wide against the evasive Gengar. Nappa laughs maniacally and fires off another Thunderbolt, his smile widening as Kurage fails to do anything, forgetting what he was trying to do.

Gengar=Thunderbolt (7 EN) [15 Damage]
Tenta=Scfail (no EN) [Burn, 2 Damage]

Psychic ~ Thunderbolt ~ Psychic
IF (Double Team), THEN (Use Thunder on that action, Clear Smog until it hits; if this sub reactivates, ignore it until Clear Smog hits)
IF (Endure), THEN (Will-O-Wisp; if you would use Clear Smog that action due to the prior sub, then postpone the use of Will-O-Wisp to the next action)

Well, that sucks x_x

Anyway, it's looking as if we're going to issue actions first next round, but let's see if we can stall it out. Kurage, I'm counting on you!

Protect - Mirror Coat - Protect

Kurage throws up a quick Protective barrier, blocking the incoming mind-bending Psychic attacks from Gengar. Gengar tosses out another Thunderbolt, but Kurage gathers up the energy from the attack and tosses it back powerfully. Another Protect stalls out Nappa even further, and the frustrated Gengar uses Psychic again. This matchup is winding down, but the next one will be just as important!

Not too shabby. You've earned your rest.

Surf - Sludge Wave - Surf
IF (Protect A1) THEN (Acid Spray - Surf - Surf instead)

One final Shadow Ball finishes Tentacruel, after a long, tough defense.

Well, if our opponent is going to give us a free action...

Hex - Shadow Ball - Hex
IF (You do not have to cooldown A1 next round if your opponent is KO'd by a combo used on A2) THEN (Use Sucker Punch + Shadow Punch combo A2 instead)

Engineer Pikachu replaces the fallen Kurage with a Gengar of his own, as Youma takes to the field. Youma is quick to obnoxiously aggravate his opponent by Hexing him. Nappa is quite depressed by this, and begins singing a deadly Perish Song .

Nappa attempts to fire off a simple shadow ball, but is quickly stopped by a Shacker Punch from Youma, and Terrador's Gengar collapses in pain. The haunting song is still hanging out in the back of Youma's mind, though.
