Texas vs Darkamber in Her New Arena

Darkamber's Team:

Smeargle (Useless) (M)
Nature: Nature: Timid (Multiplies base Speed by 1.15 and provides a flat accuracy boost on all attacks equal to its new Base Speed squared, then divided based on its evolution stage. [+9% Acc.], subtracts one (1) Rank from Attack.)
Type: Normal

Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.

Abilities:
Own Tempo: (Innate) This Pokemon moves at its own pace and when confused, it will never harm itself in confusion. If the Pokemon also has Tangled Feet, it will raise Accuracy by one (1) Stage.

Technician: (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects.

Moody (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon's traits are always fluctuating from one strength to another. At the end of each round, one of the Pokemon's stats (Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed, Accuracy, Evasion) will be boosted by two (2) stages and another will be reduced by one (1) stage. This stat change lasts until the end of that round, where Moody is re-applied, overwriting the boosted and dropped stats. This stat boost/drop occurs outside the normal boosts/drops.

Type: Ghost/Poison

Ghost: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.

Poison: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens/haze uninhibited. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus. Superior senses in urban settings.

Abilities:
Levitate: (Trait) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

Nature: Brave (+1 Atk, -15% Spe, -10% Evasion)
Type: Fire
Fire: Fire STAB; immune to burn, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or brushfire areas.

Abilities:
Blaze: (Innate) When this Pokemon’s HP is lower than 33%, the base damage of any fire attack is increased by two (2). (eg Flamethrower goes from 10 to 12, Fire Blast from 12 to 14)
(Hidden) Thick Fat: (Innate) This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)

Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Oblivious (Innate): This Pokemon is incapable of being affected by Attract, Cute Charm, or Captivate.

Slowpoke: Zen Headbutt Gengar, Onown M Magic Coat, Scald Smeargle

Tepig: Superpower Smeargle, Curse, Flame Charge

The first round begins with Smeargle drawing Darkamber like one of its french girls. And for some reason, it learns Dark Void, Spider Web, and Metal Burst. Tepig shows that Texas my have OCD, and Slowpoke sits around like a tub of lard.

The second round begins with Gengar and Smeargle both taunting Tepig and Slowpoke about being so slow. Tepig decides to overpower the painter with a Superpower, while Slowpoke gets mellow and uses Zen Headbutt of Gengar.

Gengar and Smeargle both then set up Substitutes for a small portion of their HP. Tepig wanted to start cursing, but the FCC and TPCi both rushed in to censor it. Slowpoke sat there and watched the whole thing happen.

Gengar, feeling like a Greek god, throws a thunderbolt at Slowpoke. Smeargle, dying to test its painting against the critics, uses Dark Void on Tepig and Slowpoke, putting both of them to sleep. The bacon and the Slowpoketail took a nap.

nah

Dark Void: The Pokemon creates a void of darkness in a black translucent orb that launches at the an opponent. The void saps the target's willpower, causing it to fall asleep. Dark Void always inflicts Intense Sleep. This move targets up to three (3) adjacent opponents in a multi-battle.
fuck smeargle is awesome

also sorry for parahax -_-

The round begins with both of Amber's Pokemon attempting to set up another Substitute, which both fail. Texas's Pokemon are both still asleep.

Tepig uses another Superpower on Smeargle, breaking the Substitute. Slowpoke uses Zen Headbutt on Gengar again, breaking its Substitute as well. Amber's Pokemon then both used Counter, doing jack shit.

Gengar decides to use its One Attack per Round tactic again and uses Shadow Ball on Slowpoke. Smeargle uses Dark Void, so both of Texas's Pokemon are asleep again.

Slowpoke: Scald Smeargle, then Confusion Gengar, then Scald Smeargle

Tepig: sleep, Superpower+Superpower combo, cool down

Gengar begins the round by teabagging shooting a ball of shadowy energy at Slowpoke. Smeargle sets up a Reflect to protect both itself and Gengar. Tepig is still asleep. Slowpoke wakes up and tries to burn Smeargle with Scald.

Amber's team, now showing signs of fatigue, both chill. Tepig wakes up and launches an Ultrapower (Superpower + Superpower) at Smeargle. Slowpoke uses its confusion to mess with Gengar's head.

Gengar uses another shadowy ball on Slowpoke while Smeargle heals itself with Recover. Tepig cools down from the combo, but it still smells like bacon and soup here. Slowpoke uses another Scald on Smeargle.

Tepig: Flamethrower, Superpower, Flamethrower

Slowpoke: Scald, Zen Headbutt, Scald

all at Smeargle, redirected to Gengar if Smeargle uses a) Protect, or b) faints.

Also if Smeargle Protects a2 Tepig will use Curse instead.

that's kind of vague. If you mean "post your actions, DA", then no. I'd like to see a recalc of the past couple of rounds, since those counters were a net 46 Damage on your team, and that's quite a bit. Also, I don't want to die due to energy loss. And I get health back from Slowpoke's Scald on Smeargle, since it was dead before it could actually Scald me.

Nah, I was just referring to the comment where you were going to have your Gengar Explode :P

And I'm in no rush so yeah, recalcs would be good.

1) I'm not recalcing the last two rounds. Counter does damage depending on how much damage you took. You took zero damage, so you did zero damage. That match is two months old, it probably did, then they changed it.
2) You're currently two days past DQ, so I'm going to be nice and give you until midnight tonite to give me actions

SOTGs around October 2, 2011 listed below

November 11
September 5 and Policy Advisory
August 7.

I see nothing about Counter and Substitute in any of them. You have no evidence beyond your own word ("probably") (or something that I've missed) that Counter doesn't work on a Substitute. I have records of three of the most influential players and refs in the game, who voice absolutely no objection.

Please, please recalculate. It's not that hard. Slowpoke is now dead. Tepig loses 23 HP. -8 Energy for Smeargle and Gengar. +13 HP to Smeargle for the Scald, and +2 HP for the Burn damage, and Smeargle isn't burned anymore. I don't care about fixing the flavor. That is literally the extent of the work you have to do.

If you can disprove me with evidence or if you, omnipotent ref that you are, just feel like disregarding the puny words of your underlings, then I'll post actions so I don't get D/Qed. Thank you for your mercy.

Smeargle: chill ~ Unown: Helping Hand (Gengar) ~ Volt Switch (Slowpoke)

Gengar: chill ~ Unown: Surf + Explosion ~ chill

Bulbapedia said:
Counter no longer counters a move that hits a substitute.
Counter's Bulbapedia Page, Gen II section

Anyways, both of Amber's Pokemon chill to start the last round. Tepig fires off a Flamethrower at Smeargle, and Slowpoke tries to add more burning to it with a Scald. Smeargle's burn is so severe it fainted from it.

Gengar starts the next round by preparing an attack. After Tepig uses Superpower right through it, Slowpoke ends up flinching it with a Zen Headbutt.

Gengar simply chills again, while Texas's team uses another double burn strike of Flamethrower and Scald.

Gengar used Chill.
