Arena: A rendition of the evolution forest from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games.

At the center of this circular arena is an indestructible glowing stone. Pokemon often come here in rituals to evolve. Because of the mystical properties of the stone, the entire arena has a certain energy to it, and Pokemon evolving in-battle here suffer no energy cost. Although the arena does look like a forest, there are qualities of all 17 types present in some way here, allowing almost all moves to work as intended. In addition, due to the nature of this forest, if a Pokemon uses a move that has a varying type or type related effect based on the environment, (Camouflage, Weather Ball, Nature Power, and Secret Power, but this list of moves is open to additions that I have not thought of, at my discretion) the Pokemon gets to decide which form the move takes.

Spenstar's Team:
Bolderdash [Rabbi]
Nature: Modest
Type:
Rock: Rock STAB; Take 2 less damage from all special attacks during Sandstorm. Able to use Sand Tomb without losing focus.
About Rabbi: On the last stop of a sight-seeing trip Spenstar and Rabbi took with the rest of the team, it evolved into a Bolderdash. Evolution has made Rabbi stronger and more sure of its own abilities. However, it still has a hard time controlling its ancient powers, but until it does, it has the support of the entire team to fall back on.

(e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) damage, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2).
Mold Breaker (DW): (locked) (Innate) Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, Volt Absorb will not absorb electric attacks, Clear Body does not prevent stat-drops, etc.)

Pinsir [Bugoff] (Male)
Nature: Careful (+1 special defense, -1 special attack)

Type:
Bug: Bug STAB; More mobility in dense brush or forest conditions. Gain an extra guaranteed attack on multi-hit moves.
About Bugoff: Bugoff was a member of a pack of Pinsir and served as the team's voice of reason; his cautious attitude and pseudo-anticipation saved the pack from many a threat many times. He ran into Spenstar while he was at the rainforest, and the two became fast friends. Spenstar wasn't the only one there, however, who had taken an interest in the pinsir. Spenstar's insane sister had followed him there, and brought with her an powerful Electivire that threatened to tear the entire pack (and that part of the rainforest) to shreds. Spenstar and Bugoff agreed to join forces to stop the powerful threat. They had impressive chemistry as trainer and Pokemon, and handily defeated the Electivire and temporarily drove Spenstar's sister away. The two then decided to join forces from then on, and Bugoff joined Spenstar's team.

Bugoff isn't afraid to go all-out offensive, but is very anti-reckless with his actions. Careful execution of offensive moves makes him an effective battler.

I'm calling you out on that, big time. First of all, your egg moves were Heal Pulse, Leaf Stom, and Ancientpower, not Leaf Storm, Ancientpower, and Heal Pulse. Second, you send in a Bayleef with a certain number of moves. Upon evolution, yes you might gain some moves, (though with the Meganium line it appears you do not) but you can't spend MC mid-battle. My Stratagem got Giga Drain and weather ball because he gets them at level one, thus making them automatics learned moves.

As far as I'm concerned, that was a HUGE illegal play you just made, and a very deceptive one at that. I will not post actions until the issue is fixed.

edit: he fix'd it

Doran Dragon, yeah, that's a serious no-no. Let me point out why.

1) You did NOT declare the new moves.
2) You CANNOT learn new moves in battle.
3) You changed an egg move behind the approval team's back
4) You went around the approval system AGAIN in posting these moves before they were approved.

This is so absolutely unacceptable (particularly the last two; the first two I can attribute to "didn't know any better/no harm done"). If I were you, I'd be very ashamed of myself - at any rate, I will be personally watching you. ASB runs on the honor system, and going behind everyone's back for your own personal gain is beyond ridiculous.

Meganium will have no new moves, and its final Egg move will remain Ingrain for all time. That is final. Re-order, Doran Dragon.

EDIT: Furthermore, you just changed Solarbeam from a BW TM to an Egg move, as evidenced by this post: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3972613&postcount=1 and this post: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3972894&postcount=5927 AGAIN without any sort of approval from ASB staff. Be you incompetent or completely disrespectful of all that ASB runs on, I do not know (though I suspect both), this is unacceptable.

Aight, everything is fixed. Just don't do it again. And sorry for flying off the handle...

I could say I didnt know...as I really didnt know that, but as it says in the lawbooks, ignorance of the law is no excuse of breaking it.

I appologize, I believe I fixed it all :) also it had Heal pulse as it's original egg move.

Again? Did I do that once before? :/

Edit: I want to thank you guys, if you hadnt caught that, I probably would have continued changing the egg moves and BW TMs and stuff like that. I'll also make a note of not assuming my stuff is good before changing it now.

I meant again as in, "again disregarding the approval staff". That being said, everything is once again in order for the purposes of this battle.

@Spenstar, thanks for catching that. I probably wouldn't have noticed. Also, he edited his post, so feel free to order.

Spenstar and Doran Dragon face off in the Evolution Forest - Spenstar sending out his Bolderdash, Doran Dragon his Bayleef. But what's this? Both of them, aided by the power of the Evolution Stone, evolve! Now it's a Stratagem and Meganium staring each other down - suddenly, this battle just got a lot more interesting. Stratagem opens by launching a torrent of unbelievably hot flames at Meganium, injuring it badly. However, shaking the wounds off, the great Grass Pokemon conjures up a powerful Substitute - Stratagem's battle just got a ton harder. Stratagem tries in vain to attack Meganium with a shower of stars, but Meganium's doppleganger absorbs the hit. Meganium launches poisonous powders into the air (I think I'm gonna throw up), but simply can't get Stratagem to hit them. Finally, Stratagem whips up a mighty Sandstorm (Really? First those spores, now this? You two are pushing it) while Meganium takes the offensive, thrusting a smattering of bewitched leaves at Stratagem for moderate damage. Who will be victorious? More importantly, will the referee survive all of these shenanigans? Tune in next time to find out!

I decline switching. Battery would have a much harder time against Meganium than Rabbi.

On a side note, I do believe you forgot to include the sandstorm special defense boost into Magical Leaf's damage calc.

Alright, Go Rabbi! Ancientpower-Flamethrower-Weather Ball(Sun) thanks to the arena, even though it is sandy, I can use weather ball and have it turn out like it was used in the sun.

If, A2 OR A3, (not both) Meganium opts to use Substitute, disable substitute

"Orita-chan, dont lose hope! Though with you, that statement is redundant! Even though we're only allowed two heals, I think now would be a pretty choice time to use one! Start off by Synthesizing some sugars...I wish I could set up some sunlight, but chances are that the ancient power will break your sub leaving you open to an overpowered Flamethrower. And now, since we're open to the Flamethrower, it'd be smart to create a Substitute, even to distract it from it's attack. Weather Ball will hopefully not be as powerful, and in this instance, take a plunge and unleash a Storm of Leaves upon Rabbi! Now, go make this happen!"

Thunderbolt-Muddy Water-Thunderbolt!
If that Arbok uses Earthquake or Poison Tail, use Counter and push actions back

Doran, I'd also like to point out that there is a slight error in your Arbok's movepool. Your Ekans had stockpile, spit up, and swallow, and can't forget them, so your Arbok should still have those moves. There may be others as well that I'm referring to, but right now only the Stockpile Trio come to mind.

Concurring with the above; just because Arbok doesn't learn the moves before Lv 25 doesn't mean it can't keep them. In fact, a Pokemon can learn any move from its pre-evolutions, even if that move was never learnable by the Pokemon itself (ex. Electivire can still learn Bide from Generation 1 becuase Electabuzz had been able to learn it).

Ok, added the stockpile trio.

"Well Enaks-chan, this looks like it will be a generally easier fight than the floating rock pile, Im sure we can make this work! First, since its much to fast, Glare it into paralyzing submission. Next, even with lesser defenses, its always a good idea to weaken them more with you overbearing Screech. Finally lets strike with an Iron-coated Tail attack that can lower those defenses even lower!"

Glare>>>Screech>>>Iron Tail

A Sandstorm ravages the arena (2R)

At the beginning of the third round, both players switch out their Pokemon - Spenstar sends out a Protowatt, and Doran Dragon an Ekans. However, both of them, galvanized by the power of the Evolution Stone, evolve; suddenly, Spenstar holds the upper hand by a tremendous margin. Krilowatt opens by electrifying Arbok, who shakes off the hit and pulls a Fluttershy, paralyzing Krilowatt with its gaze. With Krilowatt far slower than before, Arbok is free to attack first, screeching loudly at Krilowatt. The poor shrimp cannot move in response, allowing Arbok to cover its tail with an odd sheen and slam it down onto the shrimpy skull; however, due to a poor type matchup, it probably did far less than Doran Dragon had hoped. Krilowatt manages to shake off the paralysis to electrify Arbok once more, leaving it in a solid lead as the round closes. With the sandstorm winding down, one wonders if Doran Dragon can turn this around...

My apologies, but I was incorrect earlier; Doran Dragon actually moves first here. If you could kindly delete your post, we can proceed.

To Doran Dragon: If Spenstar doesn't delete his post by the time you see this, please ignore it and order as if you were going first.

A Sandstorm ravages the arena (1R)

Arbok starts off the round by shaking the earth in the Evlution Forest, almost knocking the Evolution Stone around (no need for that). Krilowatt responds by slamming a mysterious brown energy field into Arbok, dealing tremendous damage. Arbok coils up, trying to make itself impervious to attack, but to no avail - one jolt of electricity from Krilowatt is all that it takes to send Arbok sliding into the ground, unconscious. Doran Dragon is in a pickle here, but can he pull off a KO? Tune in next time to find out!
